Chapter 202 A Woman Who Will Cause Men to Compete
In front of Harmony Haven Resorts.
A stunning figure in a red dress, with an absolutely beautiful face, became the most dazzling sight on this street as soon as she appeared.
She caught the attention of male drivers in passing vehicles, making them stare without blinking. Within 10 minutes, she caused three car accidents!
The scene was chaotic, but Trinity was elegantly making a phone call.
"Trinity, you said you wanted a background in the underworld and access to the Gemini APP's database, right?"
"For these two issues, I have the perfect candidate for you, couldn't be more suitable!"
"There's just one small problem; This guy isn't on my side, and I couldn't force him to be. But that doesn't matter; what matters is he's a very handsome guy. Single, of course."
"Trinity, I think you could use your charm a bit to make him cooperate with you."
Trinity sighed softly, "Officer Reed, charm can't be used recklessly. Besides, I already met someone who was truly handsome yesterday. No one but him deserves that word."
'What's up with this aloof girl?' Leonard was surprised by her words.
As if sensing his bewilderment, she continued, "Don't you worry, Officer. I'll handle this case flawlessly. And more importantly," she whispered, "I fully intend to find some excitement on this trip to Veridiania!"
Spotting a vintage sports car in the distance, she smiled. "Speaking of excitement, Officer Reed, my ride is here. Talk to you later!"
Elbert pulled up in his sleek car. She turned gracefully, her skirt swirling around as she slid into the passenger seat. A captivating fragrance filled the air.
"Elbert," Robert's voice crackled through the speakers, "your heart rate is spiking again!"
Before Elbert could protest, Robert continued hesitantly, "Something's not right. There's a strange energy field around this woman. I need to analyze it."
Trinity leaned back, her elbow resting on the center console, her chin resting on her hand. Her smile was alluring, her gaze unwavering. "Handsome," she purred, "I've been thinking all night. Tell me, what would it take to truly captivate you?"
Elbert was caught off guard. This wasn't like facing down a rogue cyborg or a business rival. This was... different.
Before he could think of a reply, Trinity chuckled softly. "Never mind. It's far more entertaining to discover the answer myself."
"Tell me, handsome, would you find a female mob boss intriguing? What if I were a cold, ruthless, breathtakingly beautiful queen of the underworld? Would that pique your interest?" Her eyes held his, searching for a reaction.
An image of Melissa flashed through Elbert's mind. He nodded slowly. "It wouldn't be... boring, I guess."
Trinity smiled in satisfaction. "Excellent. Then take me to the Dragon Pride Syndicate headquarters."
Elbert's eyebrows shot up. This woman... He shook his head, slightly amused as he stepped on the gas. The SS454 roared to life, speeding away into the city.
As they drove, Trinity shifted in her seat, deliberately showcasing her long, elegant legs. Two black pistols were strapped to her thighs, a subtle but potent reminder of her dangerous side.
Elbert sighed inwardly. Beauty and mystery; the ultimate weapons of seduction. If he didn't know her true intentions, he might've been genuinely captivated. This was a woman who could make men lose their minds.
Meanwhile, Trinity was growing increasingly puzzled. Wasn't he even a little bit curious?
Twenty minutes later, they arrived at the Pegasus KTV, the Dragon Pride Syndicate's supposed headquarters. However, a sign on the door declared it "Closed for Business."
"Come along, handsome," Trinity purred, stepping out of the car. Seductively bending, she slipped off her crystal-studded heels, revealing a perfectly arched foot.
Bang! The door of the Pegasus KTV flew open, revealing a dozen or so Dragon Pride Syndicate thugs inside.
Trinity sauntered in, her eyes scanning the dimly lit room. She couldn't help but notice the state of the place – it was trashed. Almost every thug had an injury, bandages on their heads or arms. They looked more like a defeated army than a fearsome gang.
To her surprise, they were unfazed by the intrusion. Instead, their eyes lit up seeing her.
"Sorry, miss, we're closed," one of them called out, hastily wiping drool from his chin. "What are you after?"
She raised an eyebrow. "Where's your boss?"
His bravado deflated. "Our boss? He's finished. The whole Dragon Pride Syndicate is finished. We were up against a demon; a real monster!" His voice trembled with fear.
He seemed to rally slightly, his eye shining with hope. "But hey, miss, I'm still here. Anyone been bothering you? We'll take care of them, then we can celebrate, if you know what I mean." He leered suggestively.
Trinity was taken aback. Vortex, defeated? Could he be the local crime lord Officer Reed had mentioned? She mentally kicked herself. She really should've focused more on those intelligence reports.
While lost in thought, the thugs, emboldened by her silence, began to approach with clear intentions.
Trinity sighed. She was used to dealing with unwanted advances, prepared to take these thugs down by herself.
But before she could act, the thugs froze. Their eyes widened, trembling as they stared past her toward the entrance.
Elbert strolled in, his hands casually tucked in his pockets.
The thugs scrambled backwards, their faces pale with terror. They hadn't forgotten the events of that rainy night. They hadn't forgotten the white-clad demon who, blindfolded, had single-handedly dismantled the entire Dragon Pride Syndicate with his bare hands.
"It's him," one of them whimpered, pointing a shaking finger. "He's come to finish us off! Run!"
Panic erupted. They scattered like cockroaches exposed to light, some scrambling for the door, while others through windows, a few even losing their shoes in their haste.
In the blink of an eye, the first floor of the Pegasus KTV was deserted.
Elbert walked up behind Trinity, a hint of amusement in his voice. "It seems, Miss Nora, that the person you're looking for isn't here."
