Chapter 437 Village Changes
The Next Day.
In Yulia Village.
Quentin woke up groggily from a soft bed of grass. He stretched and felt much better.
"Man, my stomach's finally settled. I could eat something now!" Quentin scratched his head and called out to the next room, "Hey Rita, got anything good to eat?"
A woman stepped out from behind a curtain. It was Rita, the village girl, whose living room Quentin had crashed in last night.
She handed Quentin a bowl. He looked down with a smile, only to see a bowl of wriggling white worms.
"What the heck is this?!"
Rita replied, "It's your favorite noodles."
Noodles?
Quentin looked up in shock to see a face twisted beyond recognition.
"What the heck?! Who are you?!"
Rita looked confused. "I'm Rita, of course."
"No way!" Quentin recoiled in horror.
Hearing the commotion, the villagers rushed in.
Quentin's eyes widened.
"Who are you?"
"I'm Wendy!"
"Oh my God!"
"And this is Mike, who carried you back the other day!"
"Oh my God!"
Quentin then looked at the egg he had been so fond of. It had eyes, a mouth, hands, and seemed to be mocking him!
"This is the village chief!"
"Oh my God!" Quentin woke up to a house full of monsters and was on the verge of a breakdown.
Suddenly, there was a loud squeal from outside. A massive black pig, the size of a house, was peering at Quentin through the window.
"What is that?!"
The 'egg' smirked. "That's Sal, one of your kind!"
"Oh my God! Oh my God!"
Quentin bolted out of the house and disappeared in a flash. He reached the edge of the village in no time, only to be stunned by what he saw.
Huge vines covered the entire village, blocking his way out.
"What is this?" Quentin was dumbfounded.
Just then, an old woman with two deformed arms growing from her back approached. She grinned, revealing two rows of teeth.
"Guest Quentin, are you leaving? This is our village's protective wall." She touched the vine, which wriggled and opened a gap instantly.
Quentin clutched his head in disbelief. "Oh my God!"
Quentin, using his F-class modified human strength to the fullest, dashed into the wilderness, leaving an indelible shadow in his heart.
The villagers arrived at the village entrance just in time to see him disappear.
Jace sighed. "I told you, not everyone is like Mr. Perry, who can accept us."
Wendy hesitated. "He might be in danger out there alone."
Jace sighed deeply. "Don't worry. I can tell he's not very bright, but he's Mr. Perry's friend and quite strong, about as strong as Darius and the others."
The villagers sighed, feeling a bit down.
Then, Jace's eyes lit up. "According to the information from the future, today is the day our village's fate changes. Let's wait for Mr. Perry to return."
"Chief! There's someone over there!" a villager suddenly shouted excitedly.
Everyone turned to look.
A group of people in black clothes was approaching. At the back of the long line, a few were dragging huge beasts with chains. At the front, a young blond man sat on a wooden platform.
"Aren't those beasts the mutated kings from the interior?" Jace was shocked. "Quick, close the vines! Everyone, get back to your houses!"
As the villagers panicked, the giant vine suddenly opened with a swish, even wider than when Elbert had opened it.
Gallup stood outside, smiling. "No need to be afraid. I'm a good person."
For some reason, Jace found Gallup's smile eerie and sinister.
"What... do you want?" Jace asked, trembling.
"I'm just here to see if there's anyone strong in your village," Gallup said, smiling as his gaze swept over the villagers' faces.
Suddenly, Gallup's eyes landed on the mutated child Erik at Mike's feet. "You, come here."
Curious, Erik ran over to Gallup before anyone could stop him.
Gallup crouched down, patting Erik's head. "Tell me, is there anyone strong in the village?"
The villagers were dazed. This person didn't seem like a bad guy; he didn't mind their appearances at all.
Erik's eyes flickered, and he shook his head nervously.
Gallup smiled and nodded.
In an instant, he snapped Erik's neck and tossed his body aside.
Everyone was stunned by the sudden turn of events.
"Erik!" The villagers screamed in horror.
Gallup's smile didn't waver. "Now, I've killed someone. Is there anyone strong enough to avenge him?"
A deep roar echoed.
Mike, eyes blood-red, charged out in a frenzy. His massive frame shook the ground with each step.
Gallup smiled wickedly and flicked his wrist. A thin black shadow shot out from his sleeve, slicing through the air with a sharp whistle.
Blood splattered!
In an instant, a deep gash appeared on Mike's chest, blood and flesh rolling. The force sent Mike flying, crashing into a nearby hut, where he lay motionless.
"Mike!" Wendy screamed.
Several men in black arrived, surrounding the villagers.
One of them kicked Wendy to the ground.
The villagers were terrified, eyes filled with despair, huddling together.
Gallup sneered and asked, "Is this the legendary Yulia Village's strength?"
Jace mustered his courage, pointing his root cane at Gallup in anger. "You... don't mess around. We have a powerful guest in our village! He'll be back soon!"
Gallup smirked and said, "Big-headed freak, you're really disgusting."
Then, Gallup waved his hand slightly, and a man in a black suit stepped forward.
He spoke coldly, "These people have no strength, no research value, just a bunch of freaks."
Gallup sighed and said, "Kill them all."
"Yes." The man in black nodded, looking at the villagers with a devilish expression.
Then, the small village was filled with the sound of horrific screams.
The villagers were slaughtered one by one, the ground stained with blood, turning the place into a hellish scene.
Gallup walked through the village, hands behind his back, stepping over the bodies.
He told his men, "Set up a comfortable bed for me. We'll wait here for two days. Didn't that big-headed freak say there's an important guest?"
"Hopefully, we'll have an unexpected gain!"
