Chapter 274 The Mysterious Quentin

After Elbert said his goodbyes to everyone, he hopped on a plane and headed back to Wavehaven.

As the private helicopter faded into the distance, Jeffery burst out laughing and turned to the ApexGuardians. "You guys are nuts! Nearly two thousand enemies, plus all those tanks and armored vehicles, and you wiped them out before I even got here?"

Gray Bear scratched his head. "Coach, by the time we showed up, there were less than a thousand left, and all the tanks were toast."

"What? No way! Elbert took out nearly a thousand people and all the tanks by himself?"

Jeffery's eyes went wide.

As Jeffery said this, everyone suddenly had an epiphany. They looked at the wrecked battlefield and sensed something was off.

The storry ofne guy charging into the enemy ranks, facing 2,000 guns and countless grenades sounded crazy. Plus, they had just heard the sound of tank shells from afar! The whole thing seemed unreal.

When the ApexGuardians arrived, the enemy was already scared out of their minds and had lost their will to fight. The ApexGuardians couldn't help but break into a cold sweat. Elbert's combat skills were off the charts! He wasn't just about brute strength, and the warriors knew it.

Even though their combat power was strong now, handling these two thousand heavily armed mercenaries as a team was one thing; but one person alone? That was a whole different story! Everyone felt a chill run down their spine.

Someone who had reached Elbert's level could still be taken down in 5 seconds? Who the heck was that person?

After a long silence, Red Brow suddenly spoke up in a deep voice. "I remember, the expert who could defeat Elbert in seconds is called Quentin, right?"

"Yeah, a foreigner," someone added.

"Alright then." Red Brow clenched his fists, his eyes filled with determination. "Gratitude must be repaid. Challenging Elbert is impossible, but I gotta quickly adapt to my modified body and ramp up my training tenfold!"

"I need to gather enough strength to challenge Quentin!"

"That's right! We wanna go, too!"

"We wanna beat him in 5 seconds, too!"

The ApexGuardians warriors looked determined, making Quentin their number one target!

Jeffery was stunned! According to Leonard, Quentin should be a B-level. ApexGuardians were C+. Was there even a need for training? If they all went to challenge him, the scene would be unimaginable!

Jeffery chuckled awkwardly. "Having a goal is good! Let's talk about challenging Quentin later!"

"Wait a minute, Coach, I remember we haven't used our vacation yet, right?"

Jeffery glared, "What vacation? No vacation!"

Red Brow shot back, "I wanna go beat up Quentin and see Autumn!"

Jeffery rubbed his forehead. "Autumn probably doesn't even remember who you are."

"She'll remember. I'm Red Brow of the ApexGuardians!"

Thousands of miles away, Quentin was roasting chicken outside Lab Graveyard when he suddenly sneezed. He scratched his head and had a sense of foreboding, wondering, 'Could it be that my whereabouts have been discovered? But who cares? What if I don't admit it? They can't beat me anyway.'

Five hours later, Elbert's private helicopter slowly descended. Elbert, Summer, and Autumn stepped off the plane. Melissa, Trinity, and Dennis came out. From a distance, they heard a few people talking.

Quentin squinted his eyes. Autumn? The sister of Paul Three, a strong opponent? Another challenger! But the box behind her, could it be for me? Quentin had to be cautious!

Melissa held Dennis's hand and said with difficulty, "Sir, Dennis has tried to open the assembly line multiple times, but I stopped him."

Robert Williams added, "In three days, he tried ten times. Six times hacking into the defense system, four times breaking the firewall, and I stopped him every time!"

Elbert patted Dennis's head and sighed, "Sending you to school might be delayed for a while. I have some experiments to do, and staying here could be hazardous to your health."

Elbert took Dennis's hands, "Would you like to stay with Melissa for a few days?"

"No," Dennis pouted slightly. "I want to stay here and watch the experiments."

Elbert pondered for a moment. "Melissa's place is like a gangster's den, with gangs and tattoos. They sometimes chop people up. It's quite interesting."

"Really?" Dennis's eyes showed a curiosity that ordinary children wouldn't have, blinking.

Elbert sighed again. He knew ordinary things wouldn't attract him! "Then it's settled."

Elbert stood up and looked into the distance. Rumble. Another helicopter was flying in from afar! Military green paint, with a sword and thorn emblem on the fuselage. The helicopter landed. Several escorts in radiation suits stepped out. The leader was an ApexGuardians logistics warrior. He nodded slightly to Elbert. Then, with the others, he carefully unloaded a tightly wrapped lead box.

Elbert nodded silently. As expected of ApexGuardians, such high efficiency!

"Radioactive material?" Dennis immediately saw through it. "Violent Bear, are you going to alter your genes?"

Elbert was slightly taken aback. "You've read quite a lot of books!"

Trinity's beautiful eyes sparkled. "That emblem, SilentSentinels? ApexGuardians? I didn't expect you to have connections with them. But, it's said that ApexGuardians have traditional thinking and don't accept modifications. Their current strength isn't outstanding. Their reputation is all in the past."

Trinity's face showed a hint of regret. As an FIC agent, she was aware of ApexGuardians' existence. And she knew quite a few secrets.

Elbert smiled lightly and nodded, "Yes, that's all in the past!"
