Chapter 98 The Witness

Elbert saw off the delivery person and, as soon as he closed the door, all the lights turned on, and all the machines came to life instantly! It was like a fairy tale world suddenly coming to life.

Elbert walked straight back to the center of the room and lay down on the soft bed, feeling comfortable all over. The light above his head suddenly went out, and a device started playing soft music. A modified projector on the shelf next to him projected a blue light, creating a starry sky focused on a nebula in the universe labeled 'Andromeda 722 North Fall 0-3-1-11.'

This was a student project dreaming of exploring the universe. Each star shone brightly, rippling like water, with the occasional shooting star. At this moment, this small space in the 'Lab Graveyard' resembled a corner of the universe. And Elbert, lying under the starry sky, gazed like a sovereign.

"It's so comfortable," Elbert murmured as he turned over.

A mechanical puppy with a holographic projection came to the bedside, displaying the interior of the 'Lab Graveyard' in a three-dimensional image. In the blue spherical space, blue crystal-like shelves stood.

Elbert waved his hand lightly, and several rows of shelves inside the 'Lab Graveyard' were cleared. "Robert, here, we will enlarge the sunlight simulator and create a small piece of farmland. I want to test growing crops without sunlight," he said.

"Okay."

"Here, we will set up two automated production lines to specialize in perfecting and improving the experimental products inside the Lab Graveyard."

"Okay."

"Here, we will convert it into a living area with beds, washing facilities, a kitchen, and a dining table."

"Okay."

"Additionally, install monitors and infrared alarms around the Lab Graveyard, add concealed curtains to all windows, reinforce all doors and windows, and install an access control system."

"Okay."

"Quickly develop a finished product of bionic sonar material and coat the entire graveyard. I want the Lab Graveyard to disappear from all radars!"

"Okay."

"Also, delete all information about the Lab Graveyard from the internet. I want the Lab Graveyard to be invisible, at least online!"

"Okay."

Robert then reported, "Elbert, after my initial screening, there are a total of 10,560 experimental rejects here, among which 1,100 have infinite derivative value after improvement!"

Elbert nodded slightly. "Veridinia doesn't lack talent. It just lacks discovery, encouragement, and support systems. Robert, register an investment company and provide $100,000 in support funds to each of these 1,000-plus students in the name of the investment company. Encourage them to continue their research and inventions! Once there are good scientific research results, the company can provide various supports, including investment, acquisition, and operation!"

Elbert pondered for a moment. "As for the company's name, let's call it 'Witness'!"

"Okay."

After planning everything, Elbert let out a light breath. He leaned against the headboard, surveying the various devices in the room, and smiled slightly.

The simulated sunlight, starry sky, internet, and electricity were complete, like an independent world. He petted the somewhat adorable Puppy Coco beside him and said softly, "This is just the beginning!"

The next morning, in the Brown Family's living room, Mr. Brown, Mary, Susan, Lori, and eldest sister Jessica were all present.

Mr. Brown's face was gloomy as he pointed to a stack of materials on the table and said in a low voice, "Rex has been with our Brown Family for so many years. Did no one realize he was so heinous?"

The room was silent.

Mr. Brown turned slightly, looking at Jessica with her arm in a sling. "Jessica, as his wife. Did you not notice anything?"

Jessica showed no expression, she just shook her head lightly.

Mr. Brown sighed heavily. "If it weren't for Elbert, we wouldn't know how long we would have been deceived! I have worked hard all my life, and in the end, all this property might have been taken by that kid Rex! Our Brown Family might have ended up in ruins!"

Hearing Elbert's name, Lori's heart trembled. She was struggling to flip through the materials in front of her, which recorded all of Rex's crimes.

Two of them were the most shocking to her: Rex had thought about kidnapping her to seize control and had wanted to kill Elbert.

'And it was Elbert had hindered his plans and destroyed the ‘Doomweaver's Veil Array’ Rex had set up in his office!'

The more Lori thought about it, the more guilty she felt.

Elbert, with his dazzling identity, had endured injustice, done so much for the Brown Family, for her, and shielded them from so much harm.

"Now I understand!" Mr. Brown closed his eyes in pain. "Elbert is so outstanding. He saved us many times. Now I understand why he stayed with our Brown Family! Pursuing Lori, Being a driver? Neither!"

He continued, "He discovered Rex's plot early on! It was out of kindness, wanting to protect us!"

Mary and Susan, at this moment, felt a twinge in their noses, almost crying.

In these days of interaction, they constantly discovered Elbert's abilities, saw his goodness, and constantly felt guilty for their recklessness.

When they learned that Elbert was worth billions, they felt shame for their suspicion. When they found out Elbert was the singing legend, Paul, they felt deeply guilty. When they learned Elbert had stayed with the Brown Family to protect the family and their third sister, they almost felt they couldn't face Elbert anymore.

"Father, what should we do now?" Mary choked up.

"I don't know either." Mr. Brown felt confused. "Elbert hasn't returned for two days. It seems he doesn't want any more contact with the Brown Family! In fact, he has done his utmost for us! We owe him so much. By any means, we must find Elbert!"
