Chapter 90 Clear the trash

Rex let out a cold smile. With a sudden exertion of force, his bulging muscles instantly tore apart his shirt. Then, he punched the strength-testing machine that stood over two meters tall.

Debris flew, and thick smoke rose. When the crowd looked at the machine again, their expressions were utterly shocked. The upper half of the machine was shattered, and the metal body was almost half gone. Debris from the impact had flown dozens of meters away.

The crowd was stunned.

'This was practically superhuman!' they exclaimed inwardly.

Mr. Brown's feelings were indescribable at this moment. He was thrilled that his company could develop such a drug, but he regretted listening to Rex's suggestion to invite Elbert for a match.

Jeffery suddenly stood up. "That's enough! There is no need to continue. This place isn't suitable for the match. Rex, come with me immediately. We'll do the testing with the team."

"That's not going to work." Rex, now exuding an invincible aura, said coldly, "Elbert and I signed a contract. We can't just stop the fight."

Then, Rex turned to Dr. Isaac. "Professor, I need to correct you on one thing. Your estimate of 600% physical enhancement is inaccurate! Based on my judgment, it's at least 700% now! Elbert, should we start now?"

The crowd realized something was wrong. Rex seemed to be getting too arrogant—almost insane.

"I say, are you done with your long-winded speech?" Elbert suddenly turned to Rex, his brows tightly furrowed. "Are you in such a hurry to die? I'll grant your wish!"

Rex's forehead veins bulged, and his face twisted in anger. He slightly bent his legs and suddenly exerted force. The ground trembled slightly, and air currents surged. Rex shot toward Elbert like a cannonball.

Grizzly Bear, at the edge of the field, sensed something was wrong. He wanted to rush in and stop the attack, but it was too late.

Leonard couldn't bear to watch and closed his eyes. Jeffery and Mr. Brown stood up abruptly, shouting for Rex to stop, but it was too late.

To everyone's surprise, Elbert remained unfazed, his hands in his pockets.

"Elbert, come on, dodge the attack! what are you doing?" someone shouted.

Elbert ignored the external shouts. He slowly lifted his right foot, the sole facing the attack from Rex.

Inexplicably, Rex, in his dive, suddenly felt an unprecedented sense of danger. In his eyes, he only saw Elbert's mouth curl into a mocking smile.

'Could it be that feeling again?' Rex wondered as Elbert's shoe sole grew larger in his vision. He couldn't stop.

Two earth-shaking booms sounded. Rex was sent flying backward. He crashed heavily into the metal wall of the testing ground, leaving a human-shaped dent in the several-centimeter-thick wall.

Then, like a puddle of mud, he slowly slid to the ground, foaming at the mouth.

Elbert, still with his hands in his pockets, slowly lowered his right foot and nonchalantly exhaled. "Everyone, I'm done. So-called mutant experimental subject—trash."

He turned to look at the crowd. The entire place was dead silent. Mr. Brown's expression was froze in mid-shout. He didn't expect that before he could finish his warning, the fight was already over.

Jeffery stared with wide eyes and pointed at Elbert with his arm still suspended in mid-air. "Freak! You sent Rex flying with one kick?" he stammered.

"Yes," Elbert responded.

Suddenly, Jeffery fell silent, quietly sitting back in his seat, legs clamped tight, his expression wooden.

Just now, Rex's incredible strength had shattered Jeffery's worldview. Unexpectedly, in just a few minutes, Elbert's performance shattered Jeffery's already fragmented worldview into dust.

'Rex was an incredibly powerful modified human. Elbert should not be his match, right? But Elbert, in one move, defeated Rex?'

Jeffery couldn't help but question his soul.

'Should I modify the team? Or should I continue training them?' he pondered.

Meanwhile, Mr. Brown was asking himself another question in his mind.

'Did my drug succeed or not? Or rather, is it even necessary to continue developing modified humans?'

Leonard, having just opened his eyes, was confused. Elbert helplessly said, "Such powerful modification technology should be used on people with a sense of justice! Modifying someone as evil as Rex is like creating a hidden danger."

'Powerful?' Mr. Brown was both amused and exasperated.

Mr. Brown came to his senses and said, "Rex isn't as bad as you say!"

Elbert smiled lightly. "Before I came in, I sent an email to both you and the company's legal department. The content pertains to none other than your son-in-law Rex, how he embezzled company assets using his position, plotted to seize the Brown Family's shares, planned to kidnap Lori, and attempted to hire someone to kill me, etc."

Elbert finished, then glanced at the trembling Willard and laughed. "Of course, you fool, don't think you can escape from this either!"

Willard collapsed to the ground upon hearing this.

And Mr. Brown was completely stunned.

'Rex embezzled company property? Wanted to kidnap Lori? Even planned to hire someone to kill?' he found still unbelievable.

Mr. Brown's eyes widened, finding it hard to accept. "Elbert, stop talking nonsense!"

At this moment, Mr. Brown's phone suddenly rang. It was a call from the company's legal department. "Chairman, I just received a report about Rex. Rex plotted against you!"

After listening for a while, his phone fell to the ground, and he no longer wanted to listen, for his anger had grown.

"Mr. Ingram, wake up, wake up!" Dr. Isaac shook the unconscious Rex, shouting anxiously. "You guys went too far; he's like my experimental subject; you owe me one!"

Elbert shook his head and looked at Jeffery. "As for that so-called second-stage drug, I've seen the data. It has fatal flaws!"

"How is that possible? He was already so strong just now! Even though he was defeated by you," Jeffery was also a bit confused.

At this moment, Rex slowly regained consciousness, but his expression was dazed.

While foaming at the mouth, he started singing a nursery rhyme.

Elbert shrugged. "Rex's strength comes from adrenaline boosting his potential, but at the same time, his organs and brain can't withstand it. The consequences could be numerous, like now, he is turning into an idiot!"

Mr. Brown and Jeffery were struck like lightning, unable to speak.

Elbert turned and walked away, saying, "Give me some time; I'll help with the modified warriors!"
