Chapter 13 Strange Matching Scheme

"Awesome!"

Alvin clapped his hands in approval. "Elbert, this is it! This is you! The once shining star of Wavehaven City University's business management department!"

Elbert looked at himself in the mirror and smiled slightly.

"Shirt, $368; pants, $400; shoes, $330. Pay at the front desk!"

Kimberly's impatient voice came from the side.

Lori snapped out of her thoughts, frowning.

Although she only bought luxury clothes, she knew these clothes were like something from a street vendor, definitely not worth the price!

"Hey, Elbert is our old classmate. How about giving him a discount?" Alvin laughed.

"Sure, I'll deduct it from your commission!"

"No need for that."

Elbert casually adjusted his sleeves and said indifferently, "My purchase counts Alvin's commission, right? Three pieces of clothing, pack each one in 200 pieces for me!"

"What? Elbert, what did you say?" Alvin was shocked.

Elbert smiled and said, "Did you forget? During our four years in college, I always dressed like this and never changed. Just pack it up for me."

"Elbert, how did you suddenly get so rich?"

Alvin's eyes widened, and he inadvertently glanced at Lori in the distance, suddenly realizing. 'Could it be that he found a rich girlfriend?'

Lori sensed Alvin's thoughts.

But it didn’t bother her. In fact, she was willing to pay for Elbert since this would only cost her a little money.

Lori waved her hand, and Iron Four behind her stepped forward to pay.

"No need, I can pay myself."

Elbert extended his hand and handed over his card. "It's just over $20,000, I can handle it!"

As for the balance on that card, he didn't even know how much it was.

He only knew that an hour ago, when he checked, the balance had already reached $3.4 million!

Iron Four looked at Lori in confusion.

Lori just shook her head slightly, thinking he wanted to show off his former friend and realizing that his father had given him $500,000 before!

The entire GOG store staff mobilized to pack for Elbert, their biggest customer ever.

Meanwhile, he took Lori outside to the Zippo lighter counter.

Elbert looked around and pointed to a delicate brass lighter in the display case. "This one."

"Hello, sir. This is our Zippo 75th anniversary limited edition, inlaid with a 2-carat matte blood diamond, priced at $1.03 million."

The sales clerk was very polite but a bit hesitant. "Sir, are you sure you want to see it?"

"Ring it up."

Elbert casually pulled out his bank card.

"Alright!"

The beautiful sales clerk was momentarily at a loss!

Lori was instantly stunned.

"Elbert, are you out of your mind?!"

"$300 clothes paired with a $1 million lighter?"

"Do you have any taste, or are you just an idiot?"

Elbert had already taken the Zippo in his hand. The luxurious lighter was spinning deftly in his fingers.

"What do you know? I like smoke, so a handy lighter is what I'm looking for."

"Don't you fiddle with that metal ballpoint pen every day?"

"You must be willing to pay a lot for your favorite things, and I am the same!"

Elbert flicked open the lighter cap with one hand, admiring it under the light. "As for something we cherish, we will get it no matter how much it costs, right?"

Lori was momentarily speechless!

"Sir, here's your bank card. The transaction was successful."

The beautiful sales clerk bent over to hand back the card, her attitude extremely respectful.

"Alright."

Elbert took back the card and said softly, "Seeing such a nice lighter makes me want to smoke. Wait here for me for a bit!"

With that, he walked straight toward the smoking area without looking back.

"Crazy!"

"Weirdo!"

Lori stood there, stomping her feet in anger!

Ten minutes later...

Lori, still fuming, watched as Elbert returned, holding two ice cream cones in his left hand and three hamburgers in his right.

In the short distance of less than 50 yards, Elbert had already devoured all three hamburgers!

'Such an appetite!'

'He had just had a big lunch, and now three more hamburgers!'

'What kind of person is this guy?'

Lori thought it and gave Albert a look of disdain.

Actually, he was a bit speechless himself.

He was surprised by Robert's efficiency. In less than two hours, his energy was depleted again, and his physical functions had increased by another 13%!

"Here."

A hand suddenly extended in front of Lori, holding a cream ice cream cone.

Elbert was smiling warmly.

"I don't eat this kind of cheap junk food!" Lori turned her head away.

"It's expensive, $3. Don't waste it."

Lori felt a shiver run through her body at the word "expensive", and she took the ice cream cone in a daze, frowning. "Elbert, I'm telling you, if I feel sick later, it's your fault!"

She took a gentle lick.

The next moment...

'Oh my god, it's so sweet!'Why I have never tasted it, I love it!'

Lori looked utterly enchanted!

Elbert chuckled softly, "You really don't need to keep a straight face every day. A girl should act like a girl. If you think it's good, just say so!"

"Get lost!"

Lori cursed and turned her back, not wanting Elbert to see her eating!

At this moment, Elbert caught a whiff of a fragrant scent behind him.

Turning around, he saw Kimberly standing there coyly, seductively flipping her hair and pushing out her chest.

"Elbert, we've been classmates for years, and yet you're not even on Facebook!"

Kimberly struck her most alluring pose, trying hard to seduce Elbert.

She had seen everything clearly in the store just now.

Elbert had casually bought that $1 million limited edition Zippo diamond lighter!

A million dollars, for a lousy lighter!

How rich must Elbert be?

Worth tens of millions?

Kimberly couldn't hold back anymore!

Elbert, this rich and handsome man, had to be hers!

"How about we add each other on Facebook? When it's late and you're bored, we can chat."

Kimberly threw him a flirtatious glance.

Elbert thought for a moment and asked, "Do you have Emily Thompson's Facebook?"

'Emily Thompson?

'Elbert's girlfriend from college?

'Did they break up? Does Elbert want to get back together?'

A bit risky, but also an opportunity!

"I do! Add me, and I can introduce her to you!" Kimberly nodded.

"Go ahead and add me!"

Elbert handed his phone to Kimberly.

Just then, a text message from Robert about his futures trading arrived.

'Your account has been credited with $234,500. Balance: $123,005,323!'

'Thousands, millions...

'Oh my god, $123 million!

'He's so rich!'

Kimberly suppressed her excitement and elegantly added Elbert on Facebook, successfully becoming friends!
