Chapter 465 Excavation Work

Rachel's face turned serious in an instant.

She knew about Elbert's unique ability to summon a black substance from his sleeve.

Was he planning to use it to dig through the sand?

The ground began to shift.

It was like a giant sieve sifting through the earth!

Tiny grains of sand started to roll!

Terry was shocked, staring at the ground intently. "There's something underground! Everyone, be careful!"

Immediately, Terry pulled out his submachine gun and began to load it.

Elbert opened his eyes slightly and noticed a faint red glow flickering in the chamber of Terry's gun.

It seemed to be integrated with some kind of laser technology.

Rachel's family was indeed extraordinary, hiding new technology everywhere.

Elbert refocused and said calmly, "No need to panic."

Then, he gently raised his hand.

A bizarre scene unfolded.

Within a radius of about two miles, a thin layer of sand on the ground slowly lifted off!

It floated in the air like yellow ripples.

Everyone was stunned.

"What is this? Is this his special ability?"

Elbert raised his hand again.

Another layer of sand detached from the ground and began to float.

Everyone watched in silence, eyes wide open.

Elbert closed his eyes, slightly tilted his head, and continued to raise his hand.

Layer upon layer of sand seemed to defy gravity, continuously floating upwards.

The sand accumulated in the air like drifting cotton.

Tiny crystals within the sand occasionally reflected sunlight, sparkling like stars.

The floating sand resembled a galaxy in the universe.

Everyone was captivated by the scene before them.

It was unbelievable, yet magnificent and grand.

Elbert continued to raise his arm, like a deity controlling everything.

The strange scene took shape.

Terry looked up at the sky, his mouth agape, his lips twitching.

An incredible ability!

He had kept it hidden!

Elbert gradually mastered this method of controlling the sand, furrowing his brow and exerting his full power.

The previously calm sand began to surge like waves.

It created the illusion of a sea.

The sand within a two-mile radius started to float as a whole.

A fifty-foot-thick layer of sand at the center lifted off the ground, while the edges saw loose sand continuously falling.

It looked like a city about to ascend into the sky.

Everyone was astonished.

The massive structure rising before them was at least a thousand short tons of sand.

It just floated up out of nowhere.

Then, an even more shocking scene appeared.

Beneath the sand, a tower tip slowly emerged.

The tower tip was made of some kind of metal, weathered and worn by time.

Terry's heart pounded.

This tower tip must be the metal detected earlier.

There was indeed something beneath it.

As the massive amount of sand continued to rise, the underground structure gradually revealed itself.

An ancient city!

They could see over a dozen buildings of varying heights.

All in the medieval Gloriana style.

The buildings were made of greenish stone bricks, some partially collapsed, but overall well-preserved.

Everyone's breathing quickened, unable to describe their feelings.

It was too overwhelming.

Elbert also saw the buildings below.

The massive sand mass in the air split in two, pouring down on both sides.

Even so, a huge sand pit about 150 feet deep formed before them.

Some buildings were fully exposed.

Elbert slowly clasped his hands behind his back; the operation had taken a toll on him.

"Congratulations, this must be the Golden Kingdom ruins."

The entire archaeological team was completely stunned.

They couldn't snap out of it for a long time.

Including Rachel, who was also dumbfounded.

Their minds were blank.

They were still immersed in Elbert's astonishing ability.

Several people turned their heads woodenly to look at Elbert.

Elbert stood with his hands behind his back, his expression serious.

"Elbert!"

Terry stammered, addressing Elbert directly, "Are you even human?"

"This is insane!"

"I've seen people with abilities, but nothing like this!"

"This is practically a miracle, like Moses parting the sea!"

"How did I not see this before?"

"Please don't hold my previous recklessness against me!"

Terry said, bowing deeply to Elbert.

Elbert's ability was absolutely extraordinary!

This archaeological team had seen a lot, but they knew very well that even if Elbert were placed in any power in the world, he would be the strongest presence!

Terry was completely convinced.

The other team members were also dumbfounded.

He must be the pioneer the elders spoke of, one in a million, someone who could support an entire family!

Their doubts were instantly resolved.

No wonder he could walk alone in the desert!

No wonder he dared to come looking for the ancient city alone!

With this ability, the sand was his domain!

After several minutes, a professor-like team member frantically rushed down the sand pit.

He reached out with trembling hands to touch the building's wall.

The wall was covered in intricate carvings, winding and complex, like some kind of totem.

However, he could clearly see many pry marks.

"This must be the Golden Kingdom!"

"Look!"

He excitedly pointed at the carvings, "This must have been where gold was embedded, but someone took it!"

"So the Golden Kingdom wasn't made of gold, but had gold embedded in the walls!"

Above the sand pit, several team members still stood like statues.

Compared to the shock of the ruins, Elbert's special ability was even more astonishing!

Rachel also slowly approached, her eyes flashing, "Elbert, it's been a few days, and your ability has improved again!"

Elbert nodded but remained silent.

Terry also ran up, nodding and smiling, "Elbert... from now on, you're my idol!"

"This golden ancient city is one of the world's unsolved mysteries!"

"It has immense research value!"

"It has a thousand-year history, and every item is priceless!"

"Our team just wants to analyze the data and ancient civilization technology."

He said, pulling out a bottle of water from his pocket, wiping off the sand, and handing it to Elbert, "This discovery is all thanks to you!"

"I beg you to let our team study it, and the value is all yours!"

"Or, if you want to cash out, our company can pay, and you name the price!"

Rachel frowned at Terry, "What are you talking about?"

"Don't move."

"I'm pleading with Mr. Perry for the family!"

Terry arrogantly glanced at Rachel, then turned to smile at Elbert, "Mr. Perry, what do you think?"

Elbert shook his head slightly, "This isn't what I'm looking for."

With that, Elbert turned and walked away, saying over his shoulder, "Rachel, take care. If you encounter a problem you can't solve, remember the bell."

Everyone was speechless.

Then, another unbelievable but somewhat understandable scene occurred.

Elbert took a step on the sand, and his body instantly moved dozens of feet!

If you looked closely, you would see the sand grains under his feet rapidly moving, carrying his body!

"What is going on!"

"Didn't he say he was here to find a city?"

"This Golden Kingdom is priceless, and he just walks away?"

Terry stared at Elbert's back, his mind almost short-circuiting, completely unable to understand.

Rachel sighed softly, "You're really dense. With Elbert's ability, why would he care about this little treasure?"

"What he's looking for is probably something beyond ouyou'dr imagination."

Rachel also looked at Elbert's back, her expression complex, and slowly took out a small copper bell from her pocket.

The chip inside was still faintly flashing.

Terry's eyes widened.

Now he understood why Rachel always carried this little bell!

He suddenly grabbed the bell, turned his half-sleeve inside out, and reverently wiped the bell.

Then he handed it back to Rachel, "Ms. Nguyen, you better keep this safe. It could save us in a critical moment!"
