Chapter 59 Miss Clark from Celestria City

Ethan and Aldrich stood perplexed, watching Mr. Brown's departure.

"Rex, why is Miss Clark here? This was never mentioned to us," Ethan blurted out.

"With her presence, our modest resources will surely be overshadowed," Aldrich added anxiously. "I've heard that Miss Clark holds immense sway within the Clark family. Her brothers and even Aaron Clark cater to her every whim."

"Don't fret." Rex's eyes gleamed. "This is a golden opportunity. Given Miss Clark's standing, she won't be overly critical. Furthermore, her presence demands that we showcase our strengths even more. If we earn her approval, we might secure a connection with the Clark family in Celestria City."

Ethan and Aldrich nodded in agreement.

Rex glanced at the nonchalant Elbert and sneered. "And Elbert, this stepping stone, we must utilize him to the fullest today. Let's go welcome Miss Clark and ensure we present our best selves."

The Audi rolled to a stop. The driver, clad in white gloves, hurried to open the left rear door. A long, slender leg emerged gracefully from the slit of a black dress. The high heels, adorned with matte diamonds, emitted a subtle yet dazzling gleam. The sight of just that leg left the men present in a daze.

Stepping out with a smile, she surveyed the gathering. Her flawless figure rivaled that of a world-class model. Her smooth, cascading hair elegantly framed her face. With a touch of makeup and bright red lips, she exuded both grace and stunning beauty. Rex and the others were captivated. Such a woman, with an exceptional background and unparalleled beauty, was the ideal woman for any man.

"Mr. Brown, I came uninvited. I hope you don't mind," she spoke, her voice as melodious as a nightingale.

"Miss Clark, your presence brings great honor to the Brown Family," Mr. Brown replied with a slight bow.

"Mr. Brown, do you know if Uncle Jeffery and Uncle Leonard have arrived?" Melissa inquired softly.

"They might still be on their way, Miss Clark. Allow me to introduce you to some of the young individuals present today," Alan said.

"Just call me Melissa, Mr. Brown."

"Alright, Melissa, they are my nephews, Ethan and Aldrich."

"Hello, Miss Clark." Ethan and Aldrich nearly bowed 90 degrees in flattery. Meanwhile, Rex, maintaining his composure, observed Aldrich and Ethan inwardly, finding their behavior rather embarrassing.

Straightening his hair, Rex extended his hand with a smile. "Miss Clark, hello, I'm Rex." However, Melissa's hands remained still. She simply glanced at other people and smiled. Rex awkwardly withdrew his hand, realizing that, given Miss Clark's status and gender, her hands couldn't be casually touched.

Mr. Brown proceeded to introduce each of the four Brown Family daughters. Melissa smiled and nodded at each one.

Suddenly, Melissa's elegant smile froze as she caught sight of a familiar figure—a man in a white shirt and jeans with a somewhat eerie purple prosthetic eye.

'Mr. Paul White?' she thought inwardly.

Her heart raced as she recognized him. Melissa's eyelashes were trembling slightly, and shewas taken aback. The leather handbag in her grip slipped to the ground.

"My name is Elbert," the figure approached with a gentle smile, causing Melissa to stiffen.

'This was indeed Mr. Paul White. Is he using his real name?' thought she.

When Melissa observed Elbert's sincere smile, her mind raced. She was smart and knew Paul clearly didn't wish to reveal his identity. Thousands of words hovered on her lips as she nodded slightly. "Hello, sir."

"Very good," Elbert nodded with a hint of a smile as he gazed at the striking woman before him.

Melissa, Aaron's daughter, the lady of the Clark family, was admired and adored by many. And she was Aaron's favorite and also the thoughtful and lovely sister of her two brothers. However, no one knew that behind her elegant facade lay the true leader of Wavehaven's underworld—the Black Fox. For years, she had operated from the shadows, expanding the Black Fox gang's influence without anyone suspecting her true identity.

She was a formidable woman indeed.

To outsiders, Melissa appeared refined and aloof, but inside, she harbored a rebellious spirit. Six years ago, with her sharp intellect, she established the Black Fox gang and steered it to dominance in Wavehaven's underworld. No one in the underworld knew she was Miss Clark, just as no one in the Clark family knew she was the Black Fox. She was a woman of exceptional cunning.

In Melissa's eyes, it was all a game—a means of shedding her obedient image and reveling in freedom. Becoming a gangster allowed her to be ruthless, and daring, and expand her influence. Melissa relished the challenge. However, everything changed upon meeting Elbert. He appeared before her like a deity, effortlessly exposing her secrets and asserting absolute dominance. Melissa, who once believed herself unconquerable, found her resolve wavering in his presence.

At that moment, Melissa's focus narrowed to Elbert, eclipsing everything else at the Brown Family estate. He seemed to be all that mattered.

"Miss Clark, are you alright?" Rex's gentle voice broke her reverie after a full two minutes.

"Miss Clark, would you like to retire to the pavilion for a moment and have a drink?" Rex inquired once more.

Melissa shook her head gently. "No need, I'll stay with Mr. Elbert."
