Chapter 94 You're just a foil.

The next morning, in Gavin's office at Wavehaven University, Gavin tossed a patent application to the side in disappointment.

Students often brought their technological achievements to him, but none of the materials had ever piqued his interest.

'They're all too ordinary. Can it be that in this vast Wavehaven University, we can't produce a single impressive patent?' Gavin sighed.

As he lamented, he suddenly received several emails. "Which kid sent so many materials at once? Alright, take it slow. I'll look at them one by one," he muttered, putting on his glasses.

He opened the materials and found six sets of technical plans, including operational principles, technical analysis, design drawings, and so on.

The list was as follows:

Biomimetic sonar material

Silicon-based battery

Triple-refractive photovoltaic

Constant voltage regulation chamber

Superconducting wire

72-micron chip welding gun

"Six inventions? This kid is impressive!" he exclaimed.

Ten minutes later, Gavin slammed his fist on the table, eyes full of excitement.

"This biomimetic resonant material can almost absorb all radar detection waves, and it's cheap to produce. Once it's applied to buildings, no matter how large, it can make them invisible to top-tier detectors!"

"This silicon-based battery has an electron binding capacity 13 times that of lithium batteries! Triple-refractive photovoltaic is an optimization of solar power technology! The 72-micron chip welding gun can produce chips far ahead of current technology!"

"They're all groundbreaking creations!" Gavin found it hard to keep his cool. "Which student of mine is this excellent? Why didn't I know?"

Gavin flipped through the materials and found a name: Elbert.

Gavin quickly adjusted his glasses and read a passage from Elbert.

[Student Elbert, who graduated from Wavehaven University, mentored by Gavin, has achieved some academic success and is willing to share his results with his alma mater, hoping for some support in return.]

"It's actually Elbert? He's not destroyed by that accident! He is still as excellent as ever!" Gavin quickly printed out all the materials and hurried to the dean's office.

Thirty minutes later, in the dean's office, Lysander Frost, a renowned economist and the current president and dean of management at Wavehaven University, trembled slightly as he held the materials.

He knew that any one of these patents could represent the academy in evaluations and win countless awards. Any one of them could be developed into a project, easily securing government funding. Any one of them exposed could make Wavehaven University the center of attention for cultivating such talent.

"Gavin, are you sure this is from your student?" Lysander asked excitedly.

"Yes, I just saw him yesterday!" Gavin nodded firmly.

Dean Lysander pointed to a passage at the end of the materials. "What does he mean by needing some support from the alma mater? What kind of support can we give him? Does he want money?"

Gavin frowned and thought for a while. "He said he wants to buy the 'experiment graveyard.'"

"It seems he's really not with Alex?" Lysander was stunned. "He wants that old house?"

"Yes!" Gavin nodded.

"Is it worth it?" Gavin asked.

Lysander slapped the table. "Absolutely worth it! Gavin, contact Elbert immediately; I want to talk to him in person! Also, bring Alex here. This time, I'll make him give up on developing that place for good!"

"Got it!"

An hour later, Alex arrived at the dean's office in high spirits, only to see Elbert leisurely drinking tea on the sofa. Alex's eyebrows instantly furrowed as if he had seen an eyesore.

"Elbert, you actually dared to come?" Alex casually sat on the sofa to the side. "The world has really changed. Now, even you dare to do real estate business."

Elbert smiled slightly. "My goal is different from yours. But out of my respect, let’s have a fair competition."

"Fair?" Alex gritted his teeth. "You dare talk to me about fairness? In college, you were the star; everyone revolved around you, and nobody ignored me. Even my goddess, Emily, rejected me and became your girlfriend!"

'Emily Thompson?' Elbert hadn't heard that name in a while; she was his girlfriend in college.

They had a good relationship, but three years ago, when Elbert injured his eyes, and his future was uncertain, he chose to break up with her. Recently, Elbert had asked Kimberly for her Facebook account, but he still hadn't added her. After all these years, Elbert no longer had feelings for Emily. He wanted her Facebook just to apologize for the sudden breakup back then.

Elbert sighed lightly and said, "So it was out of jealousy. Knowing the reason makes it easier to accept."

"Easier?" Alex's expression suddenly became strange, and he whispered, "Let me tell you something! Emily is my girlfriend now! And it was at her mother's strong insistence that I agreed! Do you know why? Because I have money, and you're poor!"

Elbert smiled faintly. "That wasn't important."

Alex's face turned purple with anger, shouting, "Stop boasting! I'm telling you, you'll lose everything you had before, and you won't get that piece of land today either!"

He added, "I'm telling you, that old science hall is worth at most $4-5 million, and I have prepared $10 million today! Let's see what you have to compete with me! Today, Lysander called me here to sell the land to me. You should just fuck off!"
