Chapter30 No Need to Worry

"Iron Four, you said you had something important to tell me?" Elbert changed the subject.

"To be honest, it's a bit embarrassing," Iron Four replied, shaking his head with a chuckle. "The reason I wanted to test you today is because I stumbled upon some news."

"What news?" Elbert asked, curious.

"In the Wavehaven underworld, someone has put up a 5 million dollar bounty on your head," Iron Four revealed, smiling wryly. "It seems ridiculous now. Since you're a member of the ApexGuardians, those thugs and assassins are nothing but trash to you. I couldn't understand why anyone would want to kill you. Now it makes sense—a distinguished member of the ApexGuardians surely has some enemies."

Elbert's eyebrows furrowed slightly.

'A price on my life? From the underworld? That's interesting. For the past twenty years, I've led an unremarkable life with no enemies. Only after joining the Brown Family did I make two. Rex, who sees me as an obstacle to his power grab, and Curtis from Elysium Care Center, whom I pressured into buying 2 billion worth of equipment.' he thought.

"Interesting," Elbert chuckled.

Iron Four, noticing Elbert's reaction, asked tentatively, "The Iron Family has some influence in the Wavehaven. Should I send Iron Six and the others to help resolve this matter?"

"No need," Elbert replied calmly. "Where did you say the bounty came from?"

"The issuer is Black Fox, the underground boss of the Wavehaven," Iron Four explained.

'Black Fox?' Elbert instantly recalled Rex contacting someone by that name via text message. A cold flash appeared in his eyes. "Don't worry about the bounty. Let's continue our boxing practice another day," he said, standing up.

Iron Four, still smiling wryly, commented, "The ApexGuardians indeed have their own way of handling things."

As Elbert was about to leave, Iron Four caught up. "Elbert, there's more good news. My old Chief, Jeffery Gray, recently came to the Wavehaven. He was promoted to an Chief at ApexGuardians two years ago. You must know him. He said he would visit Mr. Brown in three days and see me as well. If he knows you're here, he'll be thrilled."

Elbert was silent.

'Do you have to expose me so soon? If everyone knows my capabilities, how can I explain it?'

Seeing Iron Four's excitement, Elbert couldn't refuse. "Alright, please notify me before Mr. Gray arrives."

"Yes, sir."

Elbert left with a wry smile, planning to leave before noticed. Just as he opened the door, Lori rushed towards him.

"Are you okay?" she asked, her hands tightly holding his.

"Miss Lori, this isn't appropriate in public," Elbert teased.

Realizing her abruptness, Lori released his hands. Elbert smiled and walked away confidently. Lori watched him leave with a complex expression.

When she turned around, she saw Iron Four with a bruised face. "What happened inside?"

"Miss Lori, forgive me for not being able to explain much. I can only say that with Elbert protecting you, there's no need to worry."

Iron Four then approached the other Iron Family Brothers, who instantly surrounded him.

"Who exactly is Elbert?"

Iron Four simply gestured. "The ApexGuardians."

"The ApexGuardians?."

"This is classified. I can't say more."

Upon hearing that, they looked at Elbert with newfound respect and admiration.

After Elbert and the Iron Family Brothers left, Lori, Mary, and Susan were still puzzled.

"What were they doing in the yoga room?" Mary wondered.

"Why do Iron Four and the others respect that annoying Elbert so much now?" Susan added.

"Two men in a room. Could it be..." Mary speculated.

"Oh my," Susan exclaimed as they pushed open the door to the yoga room.

"Sis, come take a look." The two stood dumbfounded at the door.

Lori arrived and was equally stunned. The once-tidy yoga room looked like it had been hit by a typhoon. All the mirrors were shattered, the walls had large dents, and the floor was torn up.

"What happened to my lovely yoga room? " Mary picked up a deflated yoga ball, her face full of disbelief.

Lori murmured, "Could this be the result of a fight between Elbert and Iron Four? But is there any other possibility? If this is true... Iron Four's strength is more terrifying than I imagined. What's up with Elbert? He could fight Iron Four and create such a scene? And it seems like he even beat Iron Four."

A terrifying thought suddenly emerged in Lori's mind, scaring her stiff.

'Elbert's muscles aren't just for show. He's a master. A master even stronger than Iron Four. The funniest part is that I actually tried to teach him boxing before. And there were times when Elbert acted shamelessly. I even wanted to beat him up.'

Despite her shock, a strange feeling began to grow in Lori's heart.

"Sis, don't be surprised. Elbert definitely couldn't have beaten Iron Four. It must be that during their fight, Elbert was running around, and Iron Four, like a bear, was smashing around, causing all this." Mary calculated. "Elbert destroyed our yoga room, and I'll make him pay for it later."

Lori shook her head helplessly. Iron Four's parting words still echoed in her mind—"With Elbert protecting you, there's no need to worry, Miss Lori."

Elbert returned to his basement room and casually turned on his phone. Due to the sheer volume of TikTok notifications, the notifications had become a single red dot. Despite being mentally prepared, Elbert was shocked when the data popped up.

The video "Imagine" had 6 billion views, 2 billion likes, over a billion comments, 3.5 billion followers, and over a billion shares. These numbers had already made it a phenomenon-level short video.

Elbert quickly glanced through the comments. More than half were praises, with many heartfelt reactions and emotions after listening to the song. There were countless fans of all ages and genders wanting to meet him. In the past day alone, there were millions of comments urging for more content.

In his direct messages, aside from fan messages, most were collaboration invitations. Numerous influencer agencies and entertainment companies wanted to meet and sign him. Countless companies wanted Paul for endorsements or performances, with the highest offer reaching 3 billion.
