Chapter 449 Deep in the Desert

Fenrisdalsand.

The second-largest desert in the world.

Miles upon miles of yellow sand, with air temperatures soaring to 125 degrees Fahrenheit and ground temperatures nearing 160 degrees!

Without a water supply, an ordinary person would die of dehydration in less than 10 hours!

Even so, a caravan of seven people on camels was making its way across a sand dune in the middle of the desert.

They were all dressed in white robes typical of the local inhabitants, and their camels were loaded with supplies.

The leader of the group squinted into the distance, his expression suddenly alert.

A young man in a white shirt, carrying nothing, was walking towards them through the desert.

The leader whispered to the person next to him, "Someone's coming. Stay on guard."

The two groups slowly approached each other.

The leader put on a friendly smile and called out loudly, "Hey there! What are you doing out here all alone? You must be thirsty!"

Elbert shook his head slightly and walked forward, scrutinizing the caravan.

Instantly, various analytical data appeared in his field of vision.

Flaw one: Seven camels with full humps, indicating they had recently drunk water. But in the middle of the desert, it would take at least 14 days to travel here at a camel's pace. Where did they get enough water?

Flaw two: Based on the depth of the camels' footprints in the sand, it was clear that their loads were empty!

And flaw three: Seven red glows flickered in Elbert's eyes, his combat instincts warning him that the group posed a certain level of threat!

Elbert smiled lightly, "Offer me water, then find a chance to kill me and stuff me into your luggage?"

"Sorry, I don't know what you're talking about," the leader replied with a cheerful smile. "A monsoon is about to hit. You'd better come closer."

"Where did you get your water supply?" Elbert asked. "Or rather, where is your base? And your organization... is it called the Apocalypse Association?"

Elbert stood with his hands behind his back, his right eye glowing purple.

The leader's smile slowly faded, replaced by a cold, ruthless expression. "I said, come closer!"

Elbert's suspicions were confirmed. He smiled faintly, "The Apocalypse Association, huh? Even your gatekeepers are F-class cyborgs?"

The caravan members' faces twisted in rage!

One of them quietly pulled out a device to scan Elbert.

The next moment, he shouted, "Another damn fool! You're not even a cyborg, and you dare challenge us here!"

The leader sneered, "Capture him, cut off his limbs, and force him to reveal his backers. We'll root them out completely!"

In an instant, the seven members of the caravan leaped into the air, kicking up sand as they charged at Elbert!

Their fists aimed at Elbert with a force that made the air hum!

Elbert remained calm, his body moving swiftly as he analyzed his opponents.

Robert said, "No special abilities, just enhanced strength!"

Elbert nodded slightly.

The next moment, he struck!

He precisely caught an incoming fist and squeezed lightly.

The sound of bones breaking echoed, and the opponent's fist turned to mush!

The gap between F-class and Elbert was too vast!

The caravan leader attacked, but Elbert controlled his strength and kicked him away!

He showed no mercy to the remaining members!

The ground shook continuously!

When the caravan leader got up from the ground, he was stunned!

In just a few seconds, Elbert had killed all six of his subordinates, burying them headfirst in the sand dunes!

As Elbert walked towards him, calm and composed, the leader retreated, no longer fierce. "You... you're a natural gene holder!"

"Think what you want," Elbert said, his eyes narrowing as he stood before the leader, exuding a powerful aura. "Tell me, where is the Apocalypse Association?"

"You'll never know!" The leader's face was filled with fear, but he remained stubborn.

"You will talk," Elbert said, a black dagger appearing in his hand.

At that moment, a hot wind began to blow through the desert!

Elbert's eyes flickered as he looked into the distance.

The horizon turned yellow as countless grains of sand were blown into the air, forming a massive wave that surged towards them!

Even the sun above seemed to flicker!

A monsoon was coming, raising a colossal sandstorm!

Robert said, "Oh my God, the weather forecast was way off. This is at least a category 10 storm!"

The caravan leader suddenly laughed maniacally. "The sandstorm is here! You won't survive either. You'll never find our association!"

The massive sandstorm engulfed them in an instant!

The world plunged into darkness!

The howling wind whipped Elbert's clothes violently!

Even more astonishing, two currents of wind formed a vortex near Elbert, intertwining and quickly forming a tornado!

The enormous tornado, like a giant dragon made of sand, connected the ground to the sky!

The scene was both spectacular and terrifying!

The caravan leader's laughter turned to terror as he witnessed the natural disaster!

But Elbert stood firm in the storm, unmoved!

His eyes narrowed.

The pendant on his chest glowed, spreading to his feet and suddenly blooming.

One end wrapped around his feet, while the other transformed into countless tendrils that dug deep into the ground!

Elbert stood firmly on the ground!

He turned slightly, looking at the leader who was struggling to stand against the wind.

Even an F-class cyborg couldn't withstand the power of nature!

The leader looked at Elbert in horror, as if seeing a monster!

"You... you're like our president. You have awakened abilities!"

"I underestimated you!"

"But you'll never learn our secrets!"

The leader shouted in despair and tried to leap into the tornado, hoping to take his secrets to the grave!

But as his feet left the ground, a powerful force grabbed his neck.

An unyielding iron hand held him firmly!

Elbert's dark voice came, "You're not going anywhere. Wait until the wind stops!"

The leader struggled desperately, but his eyes were filled with despair!

The storm raged for 30 minutes!

Elbert stood like a mountain, unwavering!

The leader, however, had lost all hope and stopped struggling.

The desert wind was unpredictable, coming and going quickly!

Soon, it began to calm, and the sand slowly settled!

Elbert threw the leader to the ground, his eyes flashing coldly. "Talk!"

The caravan leader clutched his throat, coughing up mouthfuls of sand!

"I..." But as he spoke, his face contorted in pain!

Suddenly, a muffled sound came from his head!

Corrosive substances oozed from his eyes, mouth, and ears!

He died instantly!

Moments later, even his body dissolved into a puddle of liquid!
