Chapter 278 Departure
After an hour of stuffing his face, Elbert decided to whip up an automatic feeder for the stray dog.
He quickly patched himself up, bandaging his body and tending to the cuts on his face.
Once done, Elbert headed out, ready to catch a flight to Evalia. This time, he opted for a commercial flight—low-key and faster.
Just as he stepped out the door, a dark figure swooped down from the sky.
Quentin leaped a good 23 feet, backlit by the sun, with a metal baseball bat raised high, aiming straight at Elbert!
"Paul Three's strongman, Quentin, has been practicing hard! Check out his new move, Thunder Home Run!" a voice suddenly announced.
Elbert just shook his head, a bit exasperated. He quickly focused, and a shadow shot out from his wrist.
In a flash, the shadow turned into a small ball and nailed Quentin right in the chest.
It all happened so fast!
Quentin couldn't believe it, nor could he see it clearly!
He was sent flying, rolling several times before ending up hanging from a tree!
Quentin shook his dizzy head.
'What the heck just hit me? That was terrifying! Has Paul Three's strongman already mastered mental attacks?' Quentin wondered.
Quentin finally came to his senses, only to see Elbert driving away.
Elbert shouted back, “Look after the house!”
Elbert arrived at the airport and went through the usual procedures, pausing slightly at the security check.
'There's the metal detector gate. Will None set off the alarm?' he wondered.
Sure enough, as Elbert walked through the detector, the alarm blared.
The security lady, who had just checked out this handsome guy, blushed slightly, "Sir, what’s on your wrist?"
Elbert smiled gently, "Nothing at all, the machine might be acting up. Could you check again?" He rolled up his sleeve, showing just a tight black undershirt.
The security lady blushed again and let him pass.
As Elbert casually strolled through security, he extended a finger to the ground, and a black shadow that had bypassed security quickly darted into his wrist and disappeared.
In the cabin, the seat next to Elbert was taken by a stunning woman in a short skirt, who kept glancing at her phone, her eyes full of flirtation.
Elbert glanced sideways.
He saw the phone's headline.
#CoolHatHero #ThousandsCaptivated
The woman in the short skirt stared at the picture of the guy in the baseball cap, totally smitten. She murmured, "A man like this—mysterious and strong—is every woman's dream hero!"
Elbert pursed his lips, sighed softly, and looked out the window.
His movement startled the woman, who turned and said, "What, you got something against the baseball cap guy?"
But then she froze, taken aback by his handsome face.
Her tone changed instantly, and she shyly said, "Sir, even if you don’t have superpowers, it’s okay. You’re very handsome. Can we exchange contact info?"
Elbert shrugged and politely declined.
What puzzled him, though, was how many stewardesses kept coming by throughout the flight, constantly bringing him drinks and snacks.
They blushed and giggled, hiding in their cabin, sneaking peeks at him.
Elbert was confused and quietly asked, "Robert Williams, what’s going on?"
"Well, I used a bit of radiation energy to tweak your facial features to the golden ratio by another 5%. Your appearance and aura now surpass 98% of humans," Robert Williams replied.
Elbert pondered, covering his cheeks with his hand, looking out the window. "Robert Williams, don’t you know what low-key means?"
Robert Williams replied, "I just don’t understand. Can’t you humans control your mating desires?"
Meanwhile, in a dense forest known as Lab Graveyard, a strange humanoid figure twisted in the grass.
His skin was pale, and his hands and feet looked like newborn flesh balls, with no fingers yet.
Even his head was only half-formed!
A crimson eyeball blinked repeatedly, looking terrifying and eerie.
This person grinned viciously and bit into his own arm.
After a bloody bite, he tore off his underdeveloped arm and threw it into the grass beside him!
The arm quickly stopped bleeding and began to grow very slowly.
"Stopping me from getting close to my queen? I will tear you to pieces and send you to hell!," the strange humanoid, with blood all over his lips and teeth, laughed maniacally!
Then, he suddenly jerked his head to the side, saying in a low voice, “What do you think?"
In the grass beside him was another half-developed body, almost identical to the original one.
It was none other than the black-and-white joker with abilities similar to a flatworm.
Every cell of his carried the DNA sequence, capable of developing into a fully independent individual.
