Chapter 130His Overflowing Affection Makes Her Reckless

As Teresa entered the bathroom and swung the door open, all it took was one look, and she was rooted to the spot.

Blood. There was so much blood.

Liam lay unconscious in the glass shower stall, the cold shower still raining down on him relentlessly.

But it wasn't just the sight of him; it was the blood, oozing from his forehead, dripping down the walls and pooling on the floor.

"Liam!" At the realization of what she was seeing, Teresa let out a cry of fright and dashed in.

Meanwhile, Yvonne, monitoring the surveillance footage, sensed something was amiss and immediately alerted the bodyguard outside.

Ignoring the chilly water spraying over her, Teresa rushed to Liam's side, knelt down with palpable fear and touch of panic, her hands trembling as she caressed his face. "Liam, wake up, Liam!"

No matter how loudly she called, Liam remained unresponsive, eyes shut tight, motionless.

Aware of the gravity of the situation, Teresa frantically retrieved her waterproof phone from her pocket. Kneeling under the spray, her hand shaking, she dialed emergency services.

Luckily, the water did not impede her phone's function. Soon, the call connected, Teresa's voice was trembling as she explained the situation and gave their precise address.

Just after Teresa had finished the call, the bodyguard burst in. Upon seeing Liam lying there with blood matted in his hair, unconscious, he was taken aback. Regaining his composure, he immediately called Yvonne to report the situation.
"What are you standing around for? Get him to the hospital, now!" Realizing Liam would rather knock himself out than hurt Teresa, Yvonne didn't know whether to feel more heartache or rage as she bellowed into the phone at the bodyguard.

"Right away, Madam." The bodyguard hung up, darted to Liam's side, and attempted to lift him.

"What are you doing? Let go of Liam!" Teresa, unaware of the bodyguard's identity, immediately stepped in front of him to intervene.

"Teresa, I need to get our young master to the hospital, please step aside," the bodyguard implored with urgency.

He never imagined things would turn out this way.

Teresa, taken aback at first, quickly got it and moved aside. She then grabbed a towel from the rack, wrapped her drenched body from head to toe, and hurried after the bodyguard who was carrying Liam out.

Unable to wait for the ambulance, Teresa joined the bodyguard in the car parked outside the apartment and they sped off towards the hospital.

Upon arrival, Teresa briefly explained the situation to the doctor before Liam was swiftly wheeled into the ER.

Shivering outside the emergency room, soaked to the bone by cold water on a chilly autumn night, Teresa couldn't stop sneezing.

But how could she leave at a time like this?

Thinking of how Liam had completely severed ties with the Evans family for her, making him as good as an orphan, and how he'd rather knock himself unconscious than lay a finger on her while under the influence of a drug, Teresa's guilt deepened.

She had loving parents, an elder brother, an adorable son, and Gabriel, a wonderful husband. The Garcia family treated her exceptionally well; she was truly blessed.

But Liam? Because of her, he was now all alone and at the mercy of Yvonne's schemes.

With these thoughts, Teresa truly pitied how miserable Liam’s situation was.

"Achoo!"

"Teresa!" “Slap!”

Just as Teresa sneezed again, huddled on a chair outside the ER, a sharp, familiar voice cried out. She looked up abruptly to see Yvonne charging towards her, delivering a fierce slap across her face.

Caught off guard, Teresa's head jerked to the side, her pale face instantaneously met a crisp slap, resulting in a distinct imprint of five fingers. A buzzing noise filled her ears from the impact.
"You trashy slut, leaving my son only to marry that Gabriel, and now with him by your side, you dare come back and seduce my boy? Drugging him, too! Teresa, how shameless can you be, with your twisted and vile schemes? I'll never understand what blinded my son to fall for a worthless whore like you." Yvonne's hand cracked against Teresa's face in a vicious slap, her breath never pausing as she pointed and spat out her anger with venomous fury.

The emergency department, aside from Teresa, was populated with other patients and their families. The commotion caused by Yvonne's outburst had drawn an audience. While Teresa's head had been covered with a towel, her face nearly hidden due to her soaked hair, made her unnoticed. But as Yvonne's cries cut through the air, coupled with Teresa's recent high-profile romance with Gabriel, "Teresa" became a beacon, turning all heads in their direction. Some onlookers even pulled out their phones, eager to capture the drama as it unfolded.

A whore? Drugging Liam? Seducing him?

Dazed from the slap, it took Teresa a moment to regain her composure. Yanking off the white towel that had enshrouded her head, she stood up, and her piercing gaze locked onto Yvonne. A cold, mocking laugh escaped her lips, "Yvonne, I dare you to let Liam speak for himself when he awakes..."

"Slap!"

Before Teresa could finish, Yvonne, fearing what Teresa might reveal, swung another hard slap across her face.

Caught off guard, Teresa didn't move swiftly enough to dodge or halt the blow, feeling yet another stinging slap as her head jerked to the side.

"You two, seize her!" Yvonne commanded, her voice seething, "I want this shameless hussy, who had the nerve to drug my son, trying to sleep with him after marrying Gabriel to be brought to the Garcia estate. I want to see if everyone in the Garcia family is as blind as he is, if they would still harbor such a filthy whore among them."

"Yes, Madam," responded the two bodyguards trailing her, as they moved swiftly to grab Teresa by the arms.
