Chapter 646 The Grand Finale (3)

With the influence of the Smith family, it's quite easy to locate someone on Earth.

The next day, John informed Sarah about Lindara's specific address abroad.

Having obtained Lindara's address overseas, before setting off on the weekend, Sarah called her again.

However, Lindara still didn't answer.

From yesterday till now, she tried to message Lindara several times, but Lindara never replied.

Sarah grew increasingly worried about her.

"Honey, why is Lindara not answering my calls or messages now? Has something happened to her?" Sarah, feeling helpless, turned to John for help.

John came over and hugged her. "Don't worry, she's fine abroad, nothing has happened."

"Then why is she not replying to my messages or answering my calls?" Sarah asked with a worried expression.

John shrugged, indicating he didn't know.

Regardless, he wouldn't let Sarah know about John's kidnapping incident.

"Tomorrow morning, I'll fly to the United States of America. I must see Lindara and find out what's going on." Sarah said firmly.

"Alright, I'll accompany you," John nodded.

He knew he couldn't stop Sarah, so he could only accompany her.

Sarah shook her head. "No need, I can go by myself, I'm not unfamiliar."

"But I want to go with my wife, is that not allowed?" John hugged her, pretending to be cute.

"..." Sarah glanced at him sideways, then pushed him towards the bathroom. "Go take a shower quickly."

"Let's shower together."

"I've already showered, didn't you see?"

"Then I'll shower again." John held her and didn't want to let go.

"Are you annoying? Go and shower quickly." Sarah immediately urged him.

"Then lie down on the bed and wait for me." With these words, John lowered his head and planted a kiss on her forehead before letting go and heading towards the bathroom.

Watching him, Sarah was speechless. However, as soon as he entered the bathroom, Sarah took out Liam's number and dialed it.

"Liam." As she sat down on the bed, the call connected, and Liam's gentle voice came through.

"Liam, have you been in contact with Lindara recently?" Sarah leaned in, asking directly.

"No," Liam's response was simple and straightforward.

"Why did Lindara resign back then?" Sarah inquired further.

"He said he wanted to study abroad." Liam replied, a prearranged answer to deceive Sarah.

At this moment, Liam had just finished his social engagement and was on his way home, feeling a sense of exhaustion.

"Is that the real reason?" Sarah confirmed.

"Yes," Liam nodded. "Do you think we would all lie to you?"

"Lindara is pregnant, did you know?" Sarah asked directly again.

"I know." Liam also answered directly.

Listening, Sarah furrowed her brows slightly. "Whose child is it?"

"Not mine."

Listening, Sarah furrowed her brows again. "How can you be so sure, why?"

"Because she had an amniocentesis and a paternity test." Liam answered truthfully.

"So, Lindara resigned and went abroad for further studies because she's pregnant, but the child is not yours, is that right?" Sarah summarized.

"Probably." On the phone, Liam leaned back in his seat, rubbing his tired brow.
Sarah bit her lip, furrowed her brows in thought for a moment, then asked again, "If the child in Lindara's belly is yours, would you marry Lindara?"

"Yes." Liam answered without hesitation.

He himself had been taken away from his biological mother by Yvonne. How could he let his child repeat his own history and tragedy? So, if the child in Lindara's belly was his, he would give Lindara a home no matter what.

"Lindara is just pregnant, but recently she has become more and more distant from me, not even answering my calls. Why?" Getting a definite answer from Liam, Sarah was relieved, but she couldn't understand why Lindara had become so cold towards her.

"I don't know, maybe she's not in a good mood or too busy." On the phone, Liam sighed almost imperceptibly and comforted Sarah, "It's said that women's moods change after pregnancy, don't worry too much."

"That's true." Sarah nodded, pondered for a moment, and then said, "I understand. You should rest early."

"Okay, you too." With that, Liam hung up the phone and continued to rest his eyes.

Soon, the car arrived at the Smith family mansion.

"Young Master, you're back." As Liam got out of the car, the butler immediately greeted him, his face showing a hint of urgency.

"What's the matter?" Liam walked towards the main hall, asking casually.

"Young Master, Miss Times has been waiting for you. I was going to call you, but Miss Times didn't want to disturb your work, so she told me not to call." The butler followed respectfully.

Liam's steps involuntarily paused at the mention of Alice from the Johnson family.

The Johnson family was a well-known artistic family, with Alice's father being a renowned painter domestically and internationally, while her mother was a famous ballet dancer. The Johnson family and the Smith family had been close friends since Liam could remember.

However, the Johnson family was not in River North.

As far as Liam knew, Alice's father, Cyrus Times, was a close friend of his father's, and the two had served together in the military. Cyrus Times had once saved his father's life.

Alice's mother had passed away from cancer a few years ago, and just a month ago, Cyrus had been in a car accident. Before he passed away, he entrusted his only daughter, Alice, to his father.

His father was on a business trip these days and had called him early in the morning to inform him that Alice would come to River North today to seek refuge with the Smith family.

From now on, Alice would be his father's daughter, Liam's sister, and the young lady of the Smith family.

It was just that the Smith family would now have one more person to care for, so Liam had no objections to this matter.

However, he was too busy today and had actually forgotten about it for a moment. Moreover, he hadn't seen Alice in many years. In his memory, Alice was still a little girl with two braids.

Calculating the time, even now, Alice should only be seventeen or eighteen years old, still a young girl.

"Has she had dinner?" Remembering his father's instructions in the morning, Liam asked immediately.

The butler shook his head. "Miss Times said, there's no reason for guests to eat before the host returns."

Looking at the butler, Liam's face immediately darkened, and the next moment, he strode towards the hall.
