Chapter 595 Should Go and See

"William, Hayden's anger has made her current condition very unstable. She has been pushed into the operating room and will undergo a cesarean section immediately."

In another hospital, in Michelle's ward, Lily received a call from Jeffrey and immediately entered the ward, leaning toward William's ear, reporting to him in a low voice.

Michelle was originally staying in a regular ward. When she woke up and her condition slightly improved, William arranged for her to be transferred to a VIP ward. For several hours, William stayed in the ward without leaving. At this moment, Michelle had eaten something and fallen asleep again. Although her high fever had decreased a bit, her temperature was still around 100.4 degrees Fahrenheit, and there was no complete improvement.

Listening to Lily's report, William's handsome brows suddenly furrowed tightly. Almost without any hesitation, he stood up and was about to stride out.

"William..." However, as he reached the door, a weak voice immediately came from behind.

"Where are you going?" Michelle opened her eyes, looking at William who was about to leave in big steps, propped herself up from the bed and sat up.

Suddenly, William's steps stopped, his handsome brows furrowing even tighter.

Why was he going to see Hayden again now? Wasn't he supposed to let her go completely, to give up completely? Was he running over now to give her hope again? Why bother! If he wanted to be ruthless, he should be more decisive, more thorough.

"I'm not going anywhere. I just need to walk around outside after sitting for a while." After a moment of hesitation, William turned back, looked at Michelle, and said coldly.

"Is Hayden about to give birth?" Michelle looked at him, smiled gently and considerately. "Then you should go; after all, it's your baby."

Looking at her, William did not respond to her words, just coldly said, "I'm going outside to smoke a cigarette and then come back."

With that, he turned around again and walked away in big steps. Lily smiled at Michelle, following behind.

"William, are you really not going to see Hayden?" When they reached the garden downstairs and saw that William was just finding a quiet place to smoke, Lily curiously asked.

"Is Finn at the hospital?" William did not answer Lily's question, just lit a cigarette by himself, took a deep drag, and asked.

"Finn is already at the hospital." Lily nodded and added, "Isabella is there too."

After hearing this, William nodded and didn't say anything more. With Finn and Isabella there, it didn't matter if he was there or not. Now, the only thing he needed to do was to pray to God to bless Hayden and their baby with safety.

In the hospital where Hayden was, outside the operating room, Finn, Isabella, Melissa, and a group of bodyguards were all waiting there. In fact, it was just a routine cesarean section, and there was no need to worry at all with so many obstetric experts in the operating room. However, both Finn and Isabella were full of anxiety, because the doctor had previously said that given Hayden's condition, there was a high possibility of severe bleeding. Finn also instructed that in case of a crisis, Hayden should be prioritized over the baby. Of course, what Finn most strongly hoped for was their safety.

Regardless of whether Hayden eventually reconciled with William or ended up with another man, babies she gave birth to must be the babies of the Bush Family, as they were the third-generation heirs of the Bush Family.

About half an hour after Hayden was pushed into the operating room, faint cries of babies could be heard from behind the heavy doors of the operating room.

"Finn, did you hear that? Hayden has given birth." Although Isabella was eighty years old, her hearing and vision were still sharp. Upon hearing the baby's cries, Isabella was almost dancing with joy like a child.

"Yes." Finn also felt extremely happy upon hearing the cries. "From the sound of it, both babies should be safe."

"Indeed." Isabella nodded happily. "They are both safe, truly a blessing from God."

Finn nodded repeatedly. "That's great. The Bush Family has heirs again; that's great."

About ten minutes later, two nurses came out carrying the babies, one wrapped in a blue towel and the other in a pink towel.

As premature babies born at less than 29 weeks, both babies were very small. Logan weighed only 2.48 pounds, and Chloe weighed 2.618 pounds. When the nurses carried them out, they had their eyes closed, looking wrinkled and tiny, making it impossible to tell who they resembled.
But even so, Finn and Isabella looked at them with great joy.

"How is Hayden? Is she okay?" After looking at the two babies, Isabella immediately asked the nurse.

"She had severe bleeding, but the doctor has just stopped it, so there should be no more danger." The nurse smiled respectfully and answered Isabella.

Isabella was startled at first, but she immediately felt relieved after hearing the nurse's words and nodded. "That's good."

"Finn, Isabella, the babies are premature and must be taken to the neonatal intensive care unit immediately." At this moment, a doctor reminded them.

"Okay, quickly, take them there." Finn nodded and instructed the butler to take several bodyguards and nurses to send Logan and Chloe to the neonatal intensive care unit.

In the garden of another hospital, William had been smoking all along. It wasn't until Lily received another call, ran to report to him that the babies were born, and Hayden and her children were relatively safe. William finally extinguished the cigarette in his hand, nodded in agreement, and his tightly furrowed brows finally relaxed.

In the VIP ward upstairs, Michelle got out of bed and came to the window, staring at William smoking in the garden below since William left the ward.

Seeing him standing in the garden for half an hour, smoking all the time, she knew he must be worried about Hayden. But so what, at least now William was by her side. Even if William didn't love her, she still would be his legitimate wife.

Michelle thought, 'Hayden, even if you were the heiress of the Bush Family, so what? If you could, just killed me. Otherwise, you would never have a chance to be with William in your lifetime.'

Watching Lily stride over to William downstairs and brief him briefly, William extinguished the cigarette that was only half-burnt, turned around, and walked back to the hospital building. Seeing this, Michelle quickly returned to the bed and lay down.

When William returned to the ward, he saw Michelle quietly leaning against the head of the bed, holding a tablet in her hand, browsing through company emails.

"William." Seeing William come in, Michelle smiled gently and called out to him.
William walked over, took the tablet from her hand. "Company matters can wait until you're feeling better."

Michelle smiled. "I'm just bored."

"I have something to do; I need to go back to the company. I'll come see you tonight, rest well." William's tone remained calm and devoid of any noticeable emotion as he looked at her.

"Okay." Michelle smiled and nodded. "If you're too busy, don't come. I'm fine now."

William smiled slightly. "Call me if you need anything."

"Okay." Michelle obediently agreed.

William glanced at her again, then turned around and left in big steps.

After leaving the hospital, William originally intended to return to the company, but he couldn't resist. After driving out of the hospital for a while, he instructed to go to the hospital where Hayden was.

He didn't need to see her, but the children were his; he should go and see.

When William arrived at the neonatal intensive care unit of the hospital where she was, Logan and Chloe had already completed a full examination and were placed in incubators.

As premature babies born at seven months, their heart and lung functions and various organs were not fully developed, so they needed to be carefully cared for in the incubator for the next month.

However, despite being premature, due to the timely surgery, they did not inhale amniotic fluid or experience any oxygen deprivation. Apart from incomplete physical development due to being premature, they had no other complications.

After Hayden's surgery was over and she was out of danger and back in the ward, Isabella came to the neonatal intensive care unit to see the two babies.

Although the two babies were tiny and wrinkled, Isabella looked at them with great joy. For many years, she had faced death and departures. Now, facing two babies, no one else could understand more deeply and joyfully than Isabella.

As the babies were in incubators, everyone entering the ward had to wear sterile clothing. After William learned about the condition of the two babies from the doctor, he changed into sterile clothing outside the ward and, entered the ward under the guidance of a nurse. When he saw the two little ones sleeping soundly in the incubators, he suddenly felt like crying without warning.

More than five years ago, he had longed Hayden give birth to their child so much. At this moment, he was so happy and excited to truly become a father. This kind of happiness and excitement was indescribable in words.

"William, you're here." Hearing the movement, Isabella turned to look toward the door. When she saw William at the door, Isabella didn't surprised at all, just smiled and greeted him with affection.

William calmed down, trying to control his excited emotions, nodded and walked toward Isabella, politely greeting her, "Isabella."

Isabella nodded with a smile, then looked at Chloe and Logan in the incubators, and said with a smile, "Look, the children know their father is here; they seem to be smiling."

William had just managed to calm down, but he became excited again because of Isabella's casual remark.
