Chapter 600 Can You Understand My Sister?
When Hayden had a cesarean section, she experienced severe bleeding, but thanks to top-notch obstetricians and gynecologists, the bleeding was promptly stopped and minimized to the lowest level.
With a cesarean section and severe bleeding, Hayden's body was already very fragile. Now, less than a day later, she experienced another episode of severe bleeding. It was critical.
William received the news while he was planning to visit Michelle. When Lily approached him with the news that Hayden had been rushed into surgery again due to severe bleeding, he was stunned.
After two or three seconds, he regained his composure and immediately asked Lily as he walked quickly toward the elevator, "What happened exactly? How could she have another episode of severe bleeding?"
"I heard that Jocelyn made a big mistake and was brought back from Frostpeak Republic. They had a fierce dispute in the hospital room," Lily truthfully reported.
—Jocelyn made a big mistake and was brought back from Frostpeak Republic.
William's brows furrowed as he thought about the incidents in Frostpeak Republic involving Gabriel, Hayden's bleeding during the cesarean section, Jocelyn being brought back from Frostpeak Republic, and then Hayden being rushed to the operating room for bleeding again.
Could there be a connection between all these events? With this in mind, William immediately took out his phone and dialed Teresa's number.
"William." The call was quickly answered, and Teresa's cheerful voice came through.
"Teresa, tell me honestly. What happened to Gabriel in Frostpeak Republic? Who did it?" William asked directly.
"Why are you asking about this? It's all in the past." Teresa didn't expect William to ask her about this, but she didn't want William to have any misunderstandings about Hayden because of Jocelyn, so she didn't intend to speak.
"Do you know that Hayden had episodes of severe bleeding again because of Jocelyn, and she was just rushed into the operating room again? You must tell me everything in detail," William urged anxiously, his voice raising a few notches.
"What?!" Teresa was instantly shocked. "How could this happen?"
"Don't waste time. Tell me now. What exactly happened?" William's tone was almost commanding.
With such a situation, Teresa naturally wouldn't hide anything anymore and immediately told William everything truthfully. After then, William's expression darkened almost to the extreme. Jocelyn had threatened him before, but now she had taken concrete actions. Despite her young age, she had done so many malicious things, which was truly unbelievable.
"How is Hayden now? Is she in danger?" Teresa asked William urgently.
"I don't know," William replied in a low voice.
"Then go see Hayden now!" Teresa was very anxious, shouting, "You must ensure Hayden's safety! If I knew things would turn out like this, I wouldn't have punished Jocelyn."
"Okay. I'm going to the hospital now." With that, William hung up the phone, got into the car, and instructed the driver to go to the hospital where Hayden was.
At the hospital, Isabella and Jocelyn were waiting outside the operating room. If Jocelyn had not felt afraid before when she abducted Gabriel, drugged him, forced him to have sex with her, marry her, or even when Hayden ordered someone to forcibly bring her back, then now, she was truly starting to be afraid.
Over the years, Hayden had not only been her sister but also played the role of a mother to her, being her biggest support. Of course, she did not want Hayden to be in any danger.
"Isabella, will Hayden die?" Jocelyn began to restrain her temper because of fear and anxiously asked Isabella, holding her hand.
"Don't talk nonsense." Isabella held her hand affectionately, patting the back of her hand gently.
"Your sister will be fine, she will definitely be fine."
"Okay." Hearing Isabella's words, Jocelyn quickly nodded. "Yes, she will definitely be fine."
"Go take care of your face, put some medicine on it. I'll be here waiting for you." Seeing her swollen face with bloodshot eyes, Isabella felt a bit sorry for her.
Jocelyn nodded, let go of Isabella's hand, and went with the nurse to treat the wounds on her face. After all, she didn't want to leave scars on her face.
So when William arrived, he only saw Isabella waiting outside the operating room. However, Isabella was somewhat surprised to see him; William was unwilling to even look at Hayden yesterday, but today he appeared so timely.
"Isabella, how is Hayden?" Sitting down next to Isabella, William asked with a heavy expression.
"She was upset by Jocelyn, but she should be fine." Isabella sighed deeply.
"And Jocelyn?" William inquired with a slight frown.
Jocelyn walked over and appeared in his sight.
"Why are you here? What right do you have to see my sister?" Unexpectedly Jocelyn sneered at him disdainfully.
"Jocelyn, how can you speak to William like that?" Isabella, who had always been gentle and loving, now had a stern face and reprimanded her in a low voice.
Jocelyn shouted, "Isabella, did I say something wrong? He is not worthy of my sister at all. Otherwise, why was Dad so against him being with my sister..."
Suddenly William strode over to grab her collar before she could react, pulling her toward the nearby safe passage. Several bodyguards wanted to rush over to stop him, but Isabella raised her hand to stop them.
Jocelyn was indeed too arrogant, even Hayden couldn't control her anymore. It was a good thing for William to give her a lesson.
"William, let go of me!" Dragged by William with her collar, Jocelyn struggled and shouted loudly, "Who do you think you are? What right do you have to touch me?Let go of me!"
However, no matter how she screamed and struggled, William didn't let go, but instead increased his pace.
"Are you all dead? Come over here and protect me. If something happens to me, you will all be responsible!" Seeing that her struggles and shouts were in vain, Jocelyn shouted at the several bodyguards, but they listened to Isabella and stood there motionless. Melissa stood by and watched indifferently.
Jocelyn truly needed to be taught a lesson. Hopefully, William could straighten her out for Hayden.
William dragged Jocelyn to the fire door behind the safe passage and immediately closed the door, then let go of her.
"William, just because my sister likes you doesn't mean you think you're all that..." Once she was free, Jocelyn started shouting again, but before she could finish, William kicked her in the knee pit, causing Jocelyn to scream in pain, her knees giving out, and she knelt on the floor.
"Jocelyn, are you trying to anger Hayden to inherit everything from the Bush family by yourself?" When Jocelyn knelt on the ground, William leaned down, grabbed her long hair, forced her to look up, and questioned her through gritted teeth.
Jocelyn glared at him with hatred, saying, "That's my business, not yours."
Staring at Jocelyn, William's deep eyes were filled with anger, almost through gritted teeth. "Jocelyn, do you think just because you're Hayden's sister, I wouldn't let you die?"
"You wouldn't dare." Jocelyn was full of contempt, then smugly said, "I've told you before, in Hayden's heart, you can never be more important than me and wealth and status. Hayden once chose to abort her five-month-old baby in her belly for me and to get everything from the Bush family."
Looking at Jocelyn, who was only nineteen years old, with a pure and innocent face, William couldn't help but sneer. "Are you so sure?"
"Of course!" Jocelyn raised her eyebrows triumphantly, saying, "I've been with my sister since birth. How long have you been with my sister? Can you understand her better than I do? If she had given up everything for you, she would have lost her current status and position as the heir of the Bush family."
