Chapter 597 Stop Until She Learns Her Lesson

After a night of rest, the next day, Hayden's cesarean section incision had improved a lot, and she could slowly walk around the bed. Apart from not being able to take a shower temporarily, her movements had basically returned to normal.

The next morning, after breakfast, she spent nearly an hour with Chloe and Logan, watching the professional nurses feed them, change diapers. Hayden really wanted to do it herself.

However, they were just born, and she was afraid that she was not so professional enough that might hurt them.

Just as Hayden was staring at Logan absentmindedly, Melissa came in and whispered to her, "Hayden, Jocelyn will be here in about ten minutes."

Hayden came to her senses and coldly ordered, "Bring them directly to my ward."

"Okay, Hayden." Melissa nodded and went out to instruct the bodyguards.

"Hayden, what's wrong?" Isabella, who was beside her, noticed that Hayden's expression was bad and asked with concern.

"Isabella, I had someone bring Jocelyn back," Hayden said to Isabella without hiding anything.

"Isn't she studying at Frostpeak Republic? Why did you suddenly have her brought back? Does Jocelyn know you've given birth and want her to come back to see you and the children?" Isabella asked curiously.

Hayden shook her head. "I've spoiled Jocelyn too much over the years, letting her have her way in everything, which almost led her to make a huge mistake. This time, I had her brought back to properly discipline her."

"What big mistake did Jocelyn make?" Isabella became even more puzzled.

"Isabella, you'll know later. But when I discipline Jocelyn, you can't intervene or plead for her. Otherwise, it's better for you not to be present," Hayden said directly.

Isabella looked at her and knew that she was decisive, so she nodded and went back to the ward with her. When they returned to the ward, Hayden sat on the bed, leaned in, closed her eyes, and waited quietly for the bodyguard to bring Jocelyn in.

She always felt that Jocelyn, who was ten years younger than her, was still just a child, so she always indulged her, never blaming her once. She also always thought that Jocelyn was simple and kind. The most outrageous thing she had done was to let people abuse Daniel, who was trapped in Radiant Valley City. Daniel used to bully Jocelyn every day, and now letting Jocelyn bully him back was understandable.

However, Hayden never expected that Jocelyn would be so arrogant as to dare to imprison Gabriel and even threaten Gabriel to divorce Teresa, asking him to have sex with her and marry her.

Gabriel was someone even she had to respect. Jocelyn was too ignorant to know what kind of person Gabriel was. She was too arrogant to do such a thing. This time, if she didn't discipline Jocelyn properly, make her fully aware of her mistakes, and let her know the consequences of making such a big mistake, then perhaps Jocelyn would make even bigger mistakes in the future.

And if she didn't handle her properly, she wouldn't be able to give Gabriel a satisfactory resolution.

"Hayden, Isabella, Jocelyn is here." Melissa came in shortly after and reported respectfully.

Hayden opened her eyes, her expression dark. "Bring her in."

Melissa replied, "Yes."

"Hayden, Isabella," Jocelyn said softly, walking into the ward, knowing that she had made a big mistake that upset Hayden, so she put on a pitiful and obedient look. At this moment, all she was thinking about was how to make Hayden not angry and let her off, without any thought of why Hayden was in River North, why she was in the hospital, why her belly had flattened, and whether the two children were still safe.

Isabella sat on the sofa, watching Jocelyn. Then she glanced at Hayden and nodded without saying a word.

Hayden looked at her, took a deep breath, and tried to calmly say, "Speak up. Tell me everything you did to Gabriel in detail."

Jocelyn mumbled, "Hayden, I..."

"I want to hear the truth. If you lie, I will slap your mouth shut." Hayden interrupted Jocelyn before she could speak pitifully.

"Hayden, don't be angry. You just gave birth, getting angry will affect your health." Isabella looked at Hayden and immediately sat beside the bed, holding her hand to comfort her.

"Hayden, Chloe and Logan were born, are they okay? Can I go see them?" Thinking quickly, Jocelyn immediately changed the topic.

"No, you can't." Hayden's expression turned even more grim as she stared at her. "Don't try to change the topic. If you don't explain things today, reflect on your mistakes, sincerely apologize to Gabriel and Teresa. I'm not your sister anymore."

Jocelyn said, "Hayden, I..."

"Didn't you hear what I said clearly?" Jocelyn tried to act cute and pitiful, but Hayden stopped her immediately.

"Hayden, it was me who saved Gabriel's life, you know." Jocelyn, from The Bush family, had been indulged by Hayden for years, with everyone yielding to her ideas. She had never been disciplined. She was used to being stubborn, willful, and had a fiery temper.

So, instead of pretending to be pitiful, she got angry, started yelling at Hayden confidently, "I saved Gabriel's life. What's wrong with him divorcing Teresa and marrying me? Teresa's family used to be just a small fishing village; her grandfather even went to jail. Even though her family is wealthy now, she's just a nouveau riche daughter at best. Can she compare to me in status, appearance, or character? Why can't I ask Gabriel to divorce Teresa and marry me? I'm doing this for his own good."

"You..." Hayden was so shocked by Jocelyn's lack of shame after committing a grave mistake and her arrogant attitude that she couldn't even speak for a moment. "What are you saying? Say it again."

Over the years, what had she done to spoil her only sister into becoming this arrogant and self-important person?

"Hayden, don't be angry." Isabella looked at Hayden, then sat by the bedside, held her hand to comfort her, and turned to Jocelyn with a stern expression. "Jocelyn, who taught you to say such things? How can you say such things?"

"Hayden taught me. She said that if it's yours, you should strive to get it. I like Gabriel; I saved his life; we are a perfect match. What's wrong with him divorcing Teresa to marry me?" Without feeling any wrongdoing, Jocelyn continued proudly.

Watching her, Hayden was so angry that she couldn't even speak a word. After forcibly suppressing her anger, she directly ordered the bodyguard beside her, "Hit her. Hit her face until she learns her lesson."
