Chapter 580 William's Parents Come Knocking

Hayden replied, "Imperial Capital."
Although she showed up at William's engagement ceremony with a big belly, and many media outlets witnessed it, not a single one dared to report on it. The Smith family is the top dog in the domestic news media industry, and no one dares to upset them. It's like asking for trouble.

But after returning to Imperial Capital, Hayden didn't make a special effort to avoid anything. Every day, she would just go in and out of The Smith Group with her big belly.
As a result, the news of her pregnancy and impending childbirth quickly spread, and the entire social circle in the Imperial Capital knew about it within just a few days.

Nico knew about Hayden's pregnancy and immediately asked Jasper if he knew who the father of Hayden's child was.
Jasper raised an eyebrow, still maintaining his casual attitude, and said, "How would I know? It's not my concern anyway."

Mason listened on the side and couldn't help but sigh, "It seems like I was wrong in the beginning. I shouldn't have let William make such a promise."

Mason watched Hayden grow up, and with his keen eyes that had seen so much, how could he not understand Hayden's character?
Hayden couldn't have just had a casual relationship with another man, the child in her belly could only be William's.

To confirm his suspicions, Mason had someone look into it and found out that Hayden used William's sperm to create a pair of test tube twins.

"Dad, what promise did you make William?" Jasper asked immediately, looking at Mason with a full face of inquiry.

At this point, Mason felt there was no need to keep hiding things from Jasper. Furrowing his salt-and-pepper brows, he pondered for a moment and replied, "Back when William was being chased by Hall in the Imperial Capital, his life hanging by a thread, he sought my help. Thinking of your well-being, I made William promise that he would never be with Hayden again."

"Dad, you..." Jasper looked at his biological father, grinding his teeth in anger, "You've gone too far! Can emotions be forced? If not, should I go pursue Hayden now, marry her, and give you a grandchild as well?"

"Jasper, why are you talking to your dad like that!"

Nico glanced at Jasper and immediately comforted Mason, saying, "Dad, you can't be blamed for this. It was William who agreed to it in the first place. You didn't force him, and besides, if he hadn't agreed, you would have helped him anyway."

"Nico, you stood firmly with him, what benefits did you finally gain?" Jasper glared at them, somewhat annoyed.

Nico stared at me without saying a word.

Mason sighed deeply, stood up from the sofa, and looked at Jasper, saying, "All this mess is because of you. From now on, I'm done with trying to control you. You can do whatever you want, I never counted on you anyway."

After saying that, Mason turned around and left.
Jasper was extremely depressed.
William and Hayden are not together now. Did he end up being the mastermind behind it all?

"Jasper, tell Nico the truth. Do you really still like Hayden?" Nico asked Jasper seriously after Mason left.

Jasper also looked at her, smirked, didn't say anything, and then turned around and walked away.
Nico felt very helpless.
Although there were increasing discussions about her unmarried pregnancy and giving birth, Hayden remained unaffected. She continued to do what she should do every day, just as she always did.

A week after returning from River North to Imperial Capital, she had just finished a meeting that afternoon. As she walked out of the conference room and back to her office, Melissa rushed over to report that Patrick and Sophia wanted to see her. They were waiting downstairs.

She didn't have much entanglement with William, no matter when. Hayden had never formally met Patrick and Sophia. Now, even though she and William are no longer involved, Teresa is her good sister, and for the sake of Teresa's dignity, she couldn't neglect their nemat.
So, immediately, Hayden asked Melissa to invite them up.

"Patrick, Grace, please have a seat." Melissa said as she led Patrick and Sophia into her office.

Hayden personally stood up to greet them, smiling and gesturing for them to sit down.

"Hayden, don't be so polite, please have a seat." Seeing her belly was really big, Sophia hurried over and helped her walk to the sofa.

Hayden smiled, "Sophia, you don't need to be nervous, I'm fine."

"Hayden, I'm really sorry for all the trouble. You've worked so hard," Patrick said, looking at Hayden with a bright and cheerful smile, not a hint of complaint on his face, genuinely feeling sorry for William.
