Chapter 543 William and Hayden
"Take good care of Hayden. Nothing can happen to her anymore." After a deep sigh, Finn solemnly instructed Wesley, who was standing beside him.
"Yes, Mr. Bush Smith." Wesley nodded. As he looked up at Finn, he suddenly felt that Finn appeared more than ten years older.
Finn glanced at Hayden, who lay unconscious on the hospital bed, her face pale to the point of being frightening. He turned and walked out of the ward, his voice heavy as he commanded, "Find out how many people Hall has killed."
"Yes, Mr. Bush Smith." Bill immediately set out to carry out Finn's orders.
"What about Pierre?" Finn asked after taking a few steps.
"He has already been taken to the operating room with Mrs. ..." Bill realized something and quickly added, "He has been taken to the operating room with Sophia."
Finn nodded and strode toward the direction of the operating room.
His doctor respectfully handed him a medical report when he arrived outside the operating room.
"Just tell me directly," Finn said, glancing briefly at the report.
"Mr. Bush Smith, based on the test results, you are currently unable to conceive. As for when you lost your fertility, we cannot determine that based on the current tests," the doctor said, looking at Finn with respect.
Finn didn't seem too shocked by this result. He didn't feel any sorrow either, just asked in a deep voice, "What about Daniel? Is he my biological child?"
Subsequently, Finn had a paternity test done using Daniel's DNA sample and his own.
"Yes, Daniel is your biological child," the doctor nodded in response.
Upon hearing the answer, Finn felt less despondent.
Since Finn was no longer able to conceive, Mia, even after giving birth to Jocelyn, never became pregnant with Finn's child again, despite trying various medications until her death.
Meanwhile, after giving birth to Daniel, Sophia did not conceive again for twelve years. It was only when she felt her position in The Bush Smith family was secure, and she believed she had completely confused and controlled Finn, that she dared to have Pierre's child.
By that time, Sophia would give birth to the child. If it was a boy, Sophia would slowly poison Finn, and the boy would directly inherit everything from The Bush Smith family.
Hayden, Finn's only capable daughter, might also have been harmed by them at that time.
Therefore, Nikolai is Sophia and Pierre's child.
Sophia and Pierre had long-term plans and deceitful schemes. They intended to gradually eliminate the entire Bush-Smith family and take everything for themselves.
They were ruthless.
Finn had lived for fifty years, experiencing countless things, but he had never seen anyone more ruthless than Sophia and Pierre.
He thought, 'Since you are so ruthless, don't blame me for being even more ruthless.'
"Prepare to begin, doctor," Finn ordered calmly, his voice as merciless as a devil's.
As soon as he finished speaking, he walked into the operating room.
"Yes, Mr. Bush Smith," the bodyguard replied and immediately went to inform the doctor.
In the operating room, Sophia was strapped to the operating table, unable to move. She had been awake for a while, and in a corner of the room, Pierre was tied to a chair, also unable to move.
The two of them looked at each other, desperately trying to communicate with their eyes, wanting to ask countless questions. However, they couldn't say a word because their mouths were taped shut. They could only whimper, unable to speak.
At this moment, they both knew deep in their hearts that a disaster was about to befall them.
They could never be happy again.
When the large doors of the operating room were opened, Sophia and Pierre turned their heads in terror. When they saw Finn walking in, Sophia immediately began to struggle and whimper, tears streaming down her face as she begged Finn for mercy.
Finn looked at her, his gaze icy and devoid of any sympathy.
He walked to a chair that had been prepared on the side and sat down, then he directly ordered the doctor, "Begin."
Sophia and Pierre had no idea what was about to happen. They could only watch in terror as the doctor stood in front of the operating table.
Upon hearing the command, the doctor nodded and picked up an incredibly sharp scalpel. Then, a nurse stepped forward and lifted Sophia's clothes.
The doctor took a step forward, his hand slowly descending onto Sophia's swollen belly.
Sophia suddenly understood what Finn was about to do and felt immense fear and dread. She struggled and whimpered intensely.
But it was futile, utterly useless.
Finn sat there, watching her, as if observing a rat awaiting dissection.
Pierre anticipated what was about to happen. When the doctor's scalpel fell, he felt pain and despair, so he chose to close his eyes.
He couldn't understand how everything had unfolded. He had planned and arranged everything so meticulously. And it had been over a decade, yet Finn had somehow discovered everything. But how?
"Open his eyes," Finn commanded coldly, seeing that Pierre had dared to shut his eyes.
"Yes," the bodyguard replied. He immediately pried open Pierre's closed eyes.
Finn watched as Sophia, lying on the operating table, was cut open like a pig, her blood gushing. And then, for the first time, Finn saw his son.
Sophia wailed and struggled, and finally, she passed out from the pain.
The whole process didn't take long, but Finn felt a sense of relief.
After everything was done, Finn stood up and coldly ordered, "Stitch her up haphazardly, as long as she doesn't die."
He wanted Sophia to live and suffer.
After uttering those words, Finn turned and left without a second glance.
"Mr. Bush Smith, how should we handle Pierre's lover and daughter?" Bill respectfully asked as they left the operating room.
"Find some thugs to do something to them, and let Pierre watch the whole thing," Finn coldly commanded.
After playing with Finn for over a decade, Pierre's fate was far worse than just this.
"Yes, Mr. Bush Smith."
Sophia woke up in the afternoon.
However, she was no longer in the prestigious VIP ward but lying on the floor of a dark, damp, and sunless basement.
Suddenly, she shivered all over. Then, the pain from her abdominal wound intensified, causing her to grimace in agony.
"Is anyone there? Anyone?" Sophia endured the pain and immediately screamed.
But no matter how she called out, no one paid any attention to her.
After a long time, just when Sophia felt like she had no strength left to even utter a word, the iron door of the basement was forcefully pushed open from the outside.
Upon hearing the sound of the door opening, Sophia immediately regained her senses, opened her eyes, and looked toward the entrance.
"Finn, Finn!" Seeing Finn at the door, Sophia exerted all her strength to crawl toward him. Then, she hugged Finn's leg and looked at him, pleading in immense pain, "Finn, what has happened? Please tell me, why are you treating me like this?"
Before Sophia could finish speaking, Finn forcefully kicked her away.
Sophia's body arched in the air, and she landed heavily on the damp ground. Instantly, she winced in pain as the wound on her abdomen reopened, blood gushing out.
Watching Sophia, who was once beautiful, gentle, and charming, now in such a miserable state, Finn felt nothing but hatred and disgust in his heart.
"Tell me, what did you do to make me lose my ability to conceive?" Finn glared at Sophia, who lay on the ground like a worm, his voice icy.
"Finn, I don't understand what you're talking about." Sophia curled up in immense pain, continuing her act, "I love you so much. I am the woman you love, so how could I ever hurt you?"
"You don't want to tell me, do you?" Finn stared at her, his voice turning even colder. "Fine, let's see how long you can keep up this act."
As soon as Finn finished speaking, he glanced at Wesley beside him.
Understanding his signal, Wesley immediately instructed the several housekeepers behind him, "Dump everything in there."
"Yes." The housekeepers replied and promptly entered the sealed basement, emptying the bags containing dozens of rats and de-fanged snakes next to Sophia.
"Ah!"
Sophia, who had been enduring the pain with her eyes tightly shut, opened them in fear and immediately recoiled when she heard the sound. She screamed uncontrollably, her voice echoing loudly.
"Stay here and think about everything you've done over the past decade. You should know where to start," Finn said, watching Sophia trembling in fear, blood dripping from her abdomen. After these words, he turned and left without looking back.
"Finn, Finn, don't go." Sophia reacted and threw herself forward, but all she got in response was the sound of the door slamming shut.
"Ah!" Seeing the snakes and rats crawling toward her, Sophia screamed in terror. She pounded on the door, shouting desperately, "Finn, let me out. I will tell you, I will tell you everything. Let me out, let me out."
But there was no response.
In Hayden's bedroom on the second floor of The Bush Smith villa, Mia was taking care of Hayden. She had been brought back home by Finn and was being looked after by the family doctor. Finn had also arranged for Jaqueline to come to The Bush Smith villa to accompany Hayden, as they were the closest people to her.
However, a whole day had passed, and there was no sign of Hayden waking up.
"Grandmother, when will Hayden wake up?" Jocelyn sat by Hayden's bed, looking at Jaqueline with a worried expression.
Knowing that Finn had discovered the truth and dealt with The Johnson family, Jocelyn felt relieved. Her eyes were filled with joy, just like when her mother, Mia, was around.
But Jocelyn was truly worried about Hayden.
Jaqueline sat by the bed, holding Hayden's cold hand with great concern and affection, gently rubbing it. She sighed deeply and said, "Your sister is just tired, so let her sleep. She will be fine after a few more days of rest."
Jaqueline knew everything that had happened.
Because of The Johnson family, she had lost everything she had tried so hard to protect, her unborn child and the love of her life. And no one could bear such a result.
Although The Johnson family was completely finished now, Hayden might never recover.
When a person's heart dies, everything is lost.
"How many days will Hayden sleep?" Jocelyn's eyes suddenly turned red, and she asked Jaqueline with tears in her eyes.
"I don't know either." Jaqueline looked at Jocelyn, smiled with great tenderness, and gently wiped away the tears that fell from her eyes. "Don't be afraid. For you, Hayden will definitely wake up."
"Okay."
"I need my mom. I want my mom, mom."
Downstairs, Daniel suddenly shouted.
Since coming back from school, Daniel had been looking for Sophia to see her.
Seeing him causing a commotion again, Wesley could only step forward to comfort him. "Daniel, your mother had a miscarriage, so she is in the hospital. You can't disturb her."
Knowing Sophia's current situation, Wesley didn't dare to call her "Madam" even in front of Daniel.
"Get lost, you annoying ghost!" Daniel rudely pushed Wesley away and continued to shout, "I want to go to the hospital. I want to go to the hospital to see my mom!"
Wesley stumbled back a few steps from the push, almost falling. After regaining his balance, he could only helplessly continue to console, "Daniel, Mr. Bush Smith told me that you can't go to the hospital to see your mother."
"Shut up, and I don't want to hear you talk. I'm going to tell my dad to fire you. I want you to leave our family, you..."
"Daniel, you should be quiet!"
Just as Daniel was still shouting, Jocelyn appeared at the railing on the second floor. She picked up a crystal glass and threw it down at Daniel while shouting loudly.
Although the crystal glass didn't hit Daniel, it shattered near his feet, startling him.
"Jocelyn, you little bitch. How dare you throw something at me? Do you want me to beat you to death?" Startled by the sudden action, Daniel looked up at Jocelyn on the second-floor railing and angrily cursed. He rushed toward the staircase in a fit of rage.
"Daniel, Daniel." Wesley quickly moved forward to stop him.
"You old bastard, get out of my way. If you dare to stop me, my dad will make sure you're finished when he comes back."
"What are you doing?"
Just as Daniel was yelling at Wesley, a stern and indifferent roar came from the entrance. Everyone was frightened, and they all shrank back.
"Dad, you're finally back." Seeing Finn, Daniel immediately ran toward him, crying as if he had seen a hero coming to his rescue. As he ran, he complained, "Jocelyn and this bastard are bullying me. They won't let me see my mom, Jocelyn..."
Suddenly, a loud sound rang out.
As Daniel ran toward Finn to complain, Finn raised his hand and slapped him hard across the face.
The slap sent Daniel stumbling and falling to the side, landing on the floor.
Everyone took a deep breath as they watched.
"Take him to Woodland and assign two people to take care of him. He is not allowed to come back without my permission," Finn said, not even wanting to spare another glance at Daniel.
Had Daniel not shared his bloodline, his destiny would have been a swift and unforgiving end.
"Understood, Mr. Bush Smith," Wesley affirmed, nodding in acknowledgment. He signaled to two aides, who lifted Daniel from the floor and escorted him away.
"Please, not Woodland. I don't want to go there. I need my mother, I want Mom! Dad, please, I want to see Mom."
Jocelyn observed the scene unfold from the vantage point of the second-floor balcony. The sight of Daniel's exile and the sound of his pitiful pleas filled her with a dark, swelling gratification.
