Chapter 526 William and Hayden
"Mom, you..."
"That's enough!" Grandmother had lived for many years. Her daughter was driven to jump off a building, and she couldn't say anything. However, this time, she would not be weak anymore. She wouldn't allow anyone to drive her granddaughter to her death again.
So, before Finn could speak, grandmother forcefully and angrily interrupted, then she stood up with Hayden and directly looked at the adulterous pair in front of her and said, "Unless I'm dead, you won't be able to force my granddaughter to her death again."
After leaving a harsh warning to Finn, grandmother then lovingly looked at Hayden and said, "Hayden, let's go, let's go home with grandmother."
Looking at her grandmother, Hayden was deeply moved and grateful. She smiled sincerely and nodded vigorously, agreeing with a "yes" before helping her grandmother leave.
Finn looked at the two of them, furious, but he didn't say another word.
In the following days, Hayden lived with Hayden's grandmother in the Petrova family mansion and didn't go anywhere. Jocelyn also moved to the Petrova family mansion to accompany Hayden.
Whenever Isabella had free time, she would buy all kinds of good things and give them to Hayden, eating with her and chatting together.
Watching her belly grow bigger every day and feeling the increasing activity of the little one inside her, even though she could only stay in the Petrova family mansion until she gave birth to the child, Hayden didn't feel bored at all.
Every day, they would eat, read, take care of flowers together with grandmother, chat with the child, and sleep—every day was fulfilling.
Unbeknownst to them, a month had passed.
Hayden's unborn child was already over five months old, and the weather had already turned hot. Her belly was so big that she couldn't hide it anymore, and even her walking posture had changed due to the size of her belly. Even her physical and mental state were undergoing subtle changes.
"What if Raymond doesn't want you anymore after you give birth to the baby?" Jocelyn suddenly ran into Hayden's room before bedtime, her eyebrows still showing a hint of childishness, and asked Hayden anxiously.
"Do you fear if Raymond really doesn't want us?" Hayden replied, looking at Jocelyn.
So far, Jocelyn was the one she felt most sorry for.
Because of her, Jocelyn killed Nikolai with her own hands, and the shadow of the murder still haunted her mind and wouldn't go away.
Now, she was being selfish again, completely ignoring Jocelyn's future because of her love.
She had failed her mother's instructions.
Looking at Hayden, Jocelyn pondered for a moment, then nodded and said, "I'm scared!"
"What are you afraid of?" Hayden asked, pressing on.
"What if Raymond doesn't want us anymore? I killed Nikolai; would Sophia have someone kill me, too?" Jocelyn asked fearfully, her beautiful eyes wide open.
Jocelyn's seemingly casual words made Hayden suddenly become alert and stiff.
That's right! If Finn didn't want her and Jocelyn anymore because of her stubbornness, what would they do?
Without Finn's protection, Sophia and the Johnson family would have no reservations about harming them.
How could she be so selfish? She could disregard herself, but how could she disregard Jocelyn's future?
She had promised before their mother's death that she would take good care of Jocelyn. How could she forget?
"It won't happen, Jocelyn." Coming back to her senses, Hayden went and hugged Jocelyn in fear, "Raymond won't abandon you. I will definitely protect you, definitely."
The next day, after breakfast, Jocelyn went to school. One of grandmother's close friends passed away, and they were commemorating her today, so grandmother went to her friend's funeral, and she also left after breakfast.
Less than an hour after they left, Finn appeared with more than ten bodyguards following closely behind.
Originally, Hayden was still hesitating whether to have a serious talk with Finn today and clarify everything about the child in her stomach.
Now, it was unnecessary.
Finn came with so many people, and the purpose was nothing other than one thing, which was to take her back and get rid of the child in her stomach.
Just like when they brought her back from Southern before.
"Raymond," Hayden called out to Finn in a calmer voice than she felt, her eyes revealing infinite sadness without any other ripples.
"So, you still know that I am Raymond." Finn sat down on the sofa, his face stern as he looked at her swollen belly, and asked in a deep voice, "Tell me, do you want this child in your stomach or do you want to maintain your status as a young lady?"
Hayden took a seat across from him, looking down at her belly, gently caressing it with her hand, and smiled, "What do you mean?"
"You gain something, you lose something! If you want to obtain what you desire from this Raymond, you must do as I say," Finn's words were commanding, without a hint of joking, as he looked at Hayden.
If you want to obtain what you desire from this Raymond, you must do as I say.
Listening to Finn's words, Hayden smiled softly, closed her eyes, and tried her best to hold back her tears. Her voice, slow and heavy like never before, said, "Okay, I will listen to Raymond and get rid of the child."
"Are you sure you have thought it through? You really want to get rid of the child, not trying to be clever?" Finn confirmed, looking at Hayden.
Now, his heart and eyes were filled with Sophia and the son in her belly. He no longer had any feelings for other people or matters.
Without opening her eyes, Hayden nodded heavily and answered, "Yes."
Finn nodded, "Okay, I will arrange the abortion procedure for you right away."
Arrange it right away.
Hayden smiled bitterly, suddenly opened her eyes, and looked up at Finn, asking, "Raymond, he is also your great-grandson. Can't you let him live for one more day?"
Meeting her angry and even hateful gaze, Finn furrowed his brows and felt deeply moved.
But it was only for a moment. Finn returned to his cold-hearted self and said coldly, "Having a son is enough for me now. I don't need a great-grandson."
Having a son is enough.
Okay! So, she must endure all of this.
"No need to trouble Raymond. I will take care of it myself," Hayden said faintly, coldly laughing.
"Fine, I hope by tomorrow, this bastard child is no longer in your belly. If not, it won't only bring harm to yourself but also to your sister," Finn left these harsh words for Hayden before turning and leaving directly.
But although he left, most of his bodyguards who came with him did not leave; they stayed.
Hayden knew that these bodyguards were here to monitor her.
If she didn't get rid of the child today, after tonight, these remaining bodyguards would naturally take her away and send her for an abortion.
After Finn left, Hayden stood up and walked to the floor-to-ceiling windows in the living room. She gently placed her hands on her stomach and stood there, lost in thought for a long time.
It wasn't until her legs went numb and she felt unsteady that she leaned against the wall, with one hand supporting herself and the other cradling her stomach. Slowly, she made her way to her grandmother's medicine room.
Her uncle had passed away from cancer, and in order to try to cure him, her grandmother had started studying medicine herself.
She remembered that there was medicine in her grandmother's room.
When she arrived at her grandmother's medicine room, Hayden grabbed a handful of medicine and anything else she could find. She took all the medicine she could see, intending to give it to her unborn child.
She intended to kill her child.
She was truly wicked. She was really evil!
As she looked at the water in the cup, she suddenly started laughing. Her mouth stretched wide, and tears streamed down her face like a fool.
She was crying and laughing at the same time.
"Hayden, what are you doing?" The butler, Mr. Alan, came in to check on her.
"Did the medicine help with your stomachache?" the butler asked, noticing that traditional remedies were not being used.
Hayden, gently touching her stomach, nodded and smiled. "It worked. Grandmother said one dose should do the trick."
"Good, let me get you some water to help you swallow it." The butler went to get a glass of water and returned to hand it to Hayden along with the medicine.
The pill was small and seemed harmless, but Hayden's hand trembled as she reached for it. Inside her, the baby, who had been calm all morning, now seemed to sense the tension and became restless.
"You must hate mommy, don't you? Hate me!" she whispered.
With her eyes closed and a determined effort to steady her trembling hands, Hayden clenched her jaw and counted to three. Then, she quickly swallowed the pill, downing it with water as it traveled down her throat and into her stomach.
"It must taste bitter, right? Let me get you some water," the butler said after witnessing Hayden's struggle. He assumed she was just afraid of the bitter taste and smiled as he turned to fetch some water.
"No need." Hayden shook her head and called out to the butler before he could leave. Then, supporting herself against the wall with one hand on her stomach, she slowly made her way outside.
Sophia was taken aback by Hayden's decision to terminate her pregnancy. When she heard the news, Sophia pretended to be shocked and saddened, expressing a strong desire to visit Hayden at the hospital.
