Chapter 624 Unexpected Changes in Wedding Plans
Inside the residence of the Smith family.
Hayden had been incredibly busy these past few days, juggling company matters, wedding arrangements, and dealing with Chloe and Logan. She felt like a spinning top, never stopping from the moment she woke up each day.
She was truly exhausted.
So, after taking a shower, she fell asleep as soon as her head touched the pillow.
At five in the morning, she was awakened to get ready for the day.
However, when she fully woke up, she didn't see Jocelyn among the crowd.
Normally, on her wedding day, Jocelyn would surely be up early to accompany her in getting ready.
"Where's Jocelyn. Hasn't she woken up?" Sitting in front of the vanity, Hayden asked the maid.
"Jocelyn went out last night, and it seems she hasn't returned." The maid hesitated for a moment before answering.
Everyone had been too busy last night to notice whether Jocelyn had returned.
Upon hearing this, Hayden furrowed her brows and immediately instructed, "Quickly go and see if Jocelyn has returned."
"Yes." The maid responded and went out to search for Jocelyn with the others.
However, there was no sign of Jocelyn anywhere.
"She hasn't returned since she went out last night." The maid quickly reported after searching around.
"Last night, Jocelyn went out with the driver and bodyguards, ask where they are now," Hayden instructed again.
"Okay." The butler nodded and immediately made the call.
It was then that Hayden learned Jocelyn had been in Jasper's suite the whole time, without leaving.
Upon hearing this news, Hayden breathed a sigh of relief, at least nothing would happen to Jocelyn in Jasper's suite.
But why did Jocelyn stay in Jasper's room without coming back? It wasn't normal for her not to return on the day of Hayden's wedding.
So, Hayden took her phone and dialed Jocelyn's number.
However, the phone kept ringing with no answer.
Unable to reach Jocelyn, Hayden had no choice but to call Jasper.
Yet, Jasper's phone also kept ringing without anyone answering.
What was going on with them?
"Are you sure Jocelyn has been in Jasper's suite the whole time without leaving?" Hayden asked the butler.
The steward nodded firmly. "Jocelyn brought two bodyguards who have been stationed outside the suite. After she went in, she hasn't been seen leaving."
"What about Jasper?" Hayden inquired.
"Jasper is also in the suite, but last night he might have had a bit too much to drink. I heard he was helped into the suite and wasn't very coherent," the butler respectfully replied.
Hayden furrowed deeply upon hearing this and dialed Jocelyn's number again.
Still, there was no answer.
"Have the bodyguards go in and check if anything has happened to Jocelyn and Jasper inside," Hayden immediately instructed.
"Okay." the butler nodded and promptly called the bodyguards by Jocelyn's side.
After giving instructions to the bodyguards over the phone, the butler received a call from them five minutes later.
Not only did they call, but they also sent a photo.
The butler was left dumbfounded after the call and even more shocked when he saw the photo, standing there motionless.
"What's going on?" Seeing the stunned butler, Hayden urgently asked.
The butler regained his composure and slowly looked at Hayden. "Hayden, Jocelyn and Jasper..."
Seeing the hesitant butler, Hayden grew even more anxious. "What happened, just tell me."
The steward hesitated for a moment, then handed his phone to Hayden. "Hayden, it's about Jocelyn and Jasper..."
Hayden took a look at the phone handed over by the butler and was instantly stunned.
Jasper and Jocelyn had actually engaged in a sexual relationship.
In the photo, on the messy bed with white sheets, Jasper and Jocelyn were lying together, intertwined without any clothes on, deeply asleep. Even when the bodyguard went in to take the photo, they didn't wake up.
How could this happen? How could this happen?
In an instant, Hayden's mind went blank.
She was supposed to marry Jasper, but on their wedding day, Jasper had a sexual relationship with Jocelyn, her own younger sister.
Although she didn't marry Jasper out of love, facing such a situation on their wedding day, she didn't know how to accept it.
"Hayden, what do we do now?" the steward asked, his voice filled with concern, mirroring Hayden's shocked state.
"Get the car ready. We're going to the hotel now." Hayden reacted and instructed immediately.
"Okay." The butler agreed and went to make arrangements.
Hayden stood up, grabbed a coat from the wardrobe, put it on hastily, and then walked out quickly.
"Hayden, where are you going?" As Hayden came out of the bedroom, Finn had just finished getting ready and came to see his daughter who was about to get married.
Seeing her extremely distressed expression and in a hurry to leave, Finn quickly stopped her.
"Dad." Hayden paused, eased her heavy expression, thought for a moment, and then honestly said, "Jocelyn went to the hotel last night to deliver something to Jasper on my behalf, but she stayed in Jasper's suite all night and didn't come back."
Finn looked at her, seeming to have guessed something, and his expression quickly turned dark.
Seeing Finn's reaction, Hayden continued, "I sent someone to check just now, and Jocelyn and Jasper were found... together."
As expected, the situation was just as he had guessed. Instantly, Finn felt extremely disappointed.
He slapped the armrest of his wheelchair heavily and growled, "This unfilial daughter, Jocelyn."
"Dad, don't be angry first, I'll go and figure things out." Hayden hurriedly tried to comfort Finn.
"Let's go together," Finn said angrily.
"Dad, you better not go, so as not to alarm others," Hayden immediately stopped him. "Don't worry, I will handle things properly."
Seeing Hayden taking charge, Finn always trusted her abilities. After a moment of contemplation, he nodded and instructed, "If anything happens, call me immediately."
"I will." Hayden nodded in agreement and then left quickly.
