Chapter 612 Jasper Wants to Marry Hayden
Jasper wanted to marry Hayden, and Finn had no objections, but Maxwell disagreed.
Maxwell said, "Hayden's children must bear the Hart surname, or there's no deal."
However, Jasper was never one to obediently follow orders. Otherwise, after all these years, would Maxwell, his own father, still criticize him so much?
However, Hayden was not Jasper. She was clear that Jasper's willingness to marry her was not for any ulterior motives, but because he genuinely cared for her and wanted to help her. Therefore, she could not afford to treat Jasper poorly.
The second day back in the Imperial Capital, Jocelyn went to the Hart family with sincerity.
However, Maxwell was astute. He understood Hayden's purpose in visiting the Hart family.
So when Hayden arrived, Maxwell waved his hand before she could speak. "Hayden, you're like a child I've watched grow up, and I do like you. I've always wanted you to be Jasper's wife. However, a son of the Hart family cannot humbly move into your household; your children must bear his surname."
"Maxwell, I never said Jasper had to move into my home, nor did I say that Chloe and Logan couldn't have the last name Hart." After all, Hayden grew up in the Hart family and knew Maxwell's temper too well.

Jasper and his older brother, along with his brother's wife, Nico, sat nearby, stunned to hear Hayden's firm words.
They had never expected Hayden to make such a significant concession. After all, everyone now knew Hayden was the heir of The Smith, and marrying her meant inheriting most of the Smith's assets.
"Not only that, if..." looking at Jasper beside her, Hayden smiled and continued, "if Jasper accidentally has children outside in the future, I will definitely treat them as my own." Jasper looked at her, furrowing his brows.
Hayden's implication was clear. After they married, they could live separate lives. If Jasper had relationships outside their marriage, she wouldn't mind. Jasper hesitated but remained silent.
Seeing that Jasper didn't object and Hayden had spoken so clearly, Maxwell felt it would be unkind to nitpick further.
"Maxwell, Hayden is so understanding and willing to compromise. What are you still hesitating about?" Nico asked with a smile, reaching behind her husband and discreetly pinching him.
Understanding her signal, Jasper's brother also smiled and said to Maxwell, "Maxwell, Jasper and Hayden grew up together, it's great. Moreover, if Jasper gets married, you can rest assured. "
Since everyone was in agreement, it would be inappropriate for Maxwell not to make a decision. So he sighed deeply, nodded. "Alright, as long as you don't regret it later, then do as you wish."
Hayden nodded. "I will never regret it, Thank you, Maxwell."
Jasper looked at Maxwell, saying, "It's okay, if we regret it, we can always get a divorce."
Hayden looked at him speechlessly.
"Jasper! There is no talk of divorce in the Hart family." Maxwell immediately shouted.
Jasper felt speechless looking at Maxwell.
"Jasper, you haven't even gotten married yet. You can't joke about this." Seeing Maxwell angry, Nico immediately intervened to ease the tense atmosphere, "Once Hayden's marriage is settled, you have to be serious. You can't act like you did before, playing around."
"Yes, Nico is right. We won't get a divorce!" Jasper nodded with a smile.
Whether they will divorce in the future or not, it's up to Jasper and Hayden to decide, not anyone else.
"Then let Nico handle the wedding arrangements, do as you wish." Maxwell finally spoke.
"Okay, thank you, Maxwell." Jasper grinned.
"Thank you, Maxwell." Hayden also smiled and nodded.
Nico happily nodded, "Dad, rest assured, our family hasn't had a celebration in a long time. I will make Jasper and Hayden's wedding a grand event that will shake the entire Imperial Capital."
