Chapter 618 Could It Be Love?

Although Hayden said it was over with William, the sadness in her expression easily betrayed her true feelings.

But now, more words wouldn't help the situation. With a sigh, Finn thought of something else and asked, "By the way, did Jocelyn do something serious again? When I came back today, I saw the servants watching her clean, and apart from saying hi to me, she hasn't spoken."

"Yes." Hayden nodded and told Finn everything Jocelyn had done without hiding anything.

The reason why Jocelyn had turned into such a selfish, ruthless, and malicious person today was indeed partly her own responsibility, but Finn had a greater responsibility than her as a father.

She had gone abroad to study, then spent three years at the overseas branch, a critical time for Jocelyn's growth in nearly five years. However, Finn hadn't devoted much attention to Jocelyn during this time, leading to the serious mistakes she made today.

She told Finn everything to make him understand clearly what kind of person Jocelyn was now and how, he should educate and guide Jocelyn onto the right path as a father.

Finn was truly shocked after listening. Although Jocelyn only threatened William and did not take any action, it once again refreshed his understanding of his daughter.

"Dad, in my memory, from childhood to now, you haven't really paid much attention to Jocelyn. She and you have never been close. Plus, those years when Daniel always bullied her, and my excessive indulgence, that's why she has the personality now."

Hayden sighed deeply and continued, "Jocelyn is only nineteen. Her life journey is still long, so her current personality must be corrected. Otherwise, she is likely to cause a big disaster."

Finn furrowed his brows tightly and nodded heavily. "I will spend more time and effort on Jocelyn in the future. I will also have someone invite education experts and psychologists to come back to accurately analyze Jocelyn's current situation, and then develop a more professional education plan."

"Okay." Hayden nodded. "Then I'll go check on Chloe and Logan."

Finn nodded in agreement. Afterward, he fell into contemplation, and Hayden didn't say anything further, heading downstairs directly to accompany the two children.

The next morning, when Finn and Hayden were both at home, Jasper and Nico came to the Bush family, and everyone discussed the wedding arrangements.

Unexpectedly, as soon as they arrived at the Bush family and stepped into the main hall, they heard a scream. Looking in the direction of the sound, they saw Jocelyn crouching on the stairs cleaning the handrail. When she turned her head to look at them, she lost her balance and slipped, rolling down the stairs.

Everyone was shocked at the scene, but Jasper reacted the fastest and quickly rushed toward the stairs.

Fortunately, he was close enough. After rushing over, he took three steps up the stairs and caught Jocelyn who was rolling down, lifting her up.

Hayden shouted, "Jocelyn!"

Hayden, despite her recent disappointment with Jocelyn, couldn't easily change their deep sisterly bond built over many years. Following Jasper closely, she also rushed over, as did the servants.

"Jasper." With tears in her eyes, Jocelyn furrowed her brows and looked up at Jasper's handsome face with concern. She smiled and closed her eyes, fainting the next moment.

"Jocelyn!" Seeing Jocelyn faint with blood all over her face, Hayden panicked. "Quick, take her to the hospital."

Jasper glanced at Hayden and nodded. Then immediately he turned around and ran out with Jocelyn in his arms. Hayden, Finn, and the maids followed behind.

In fact, Jocelyn's injuries were not severe. She had no fractures or internal injuries, just a large cut on her forehead that required seven stitches, some minor abrasions in other places, and a slight concussion.

However, for safety, Hayden decided to keep Jocelyn in the hospital for observation for a day, planning to discharge her the next day if there were no complications, with the family doctor taking care of her.

Since anesthesia was used when stitching the wound on her forehead, when Jocelyn woke up, she found herself lying in a VIP ward, with Hayden and Jasper by her side.

"Hayden, Jasper." Seeing them, Jocelyn weakly called out.
Hayden looked at her, sighed deeply, wanting to say something but swallowed her words.

At this moment, anything she said to Jocelyn seemed inappropriate.

Just then, Hayden's phone vibrated in her pocket. She took it out and saw that it was a call from a senior executive at The Smith.

Knowing it was important, she told Jasper, "I'll take this call." Then she left the ward with her phone.

"Jasper." When Hayden left, Jocelyn looked at the large bloodstains on Jasper's clothes and asked with a smile, "Why is there so much blood on your clothes?"

Jasper looked at her, smiled slightly, and asked back, "What do you think?"

As Jocelyn looked at Jasper, memories of the moments before she fainted flashed through her mind, making her feel very shy.

Except for elders, Jasper was the first man to hold her. When she fell down the stairs, Jasper rushed over to intercept her and lifted her up, looking very handsome.

"Thank you, Jasper. I'll wash your clothes when we get home." Understanding what happened, Jocelyn shyly said in a low voice.

"You know how to wash clothes?" Jasper raised his eyebrows, teasing, "Is that something you recently learned?"

Jocelyn shook her head. "No, but I can learn."

Suddenly, Jasper found Jocelyn quite interesting. He sat down by the bed and stared at her, asking, "Why are you blushing? Could it be that you've fallen for me?"

Seeing him, Jocelyn quickly shook her head.

But she shook her head too hard, accidentally pulling at the wound on her forehead, causing a sharp pain that made her gasp.

"Does it hurt?" Looking at her cute expression, Jasper asked gently.

After all, they were siblings. In terms of looks, Jocelyn was no less beautiful than Hayden, just their temperaments were very different.

Hayden had a queenly aura, while Jocelyn had a princess-like Barbie doll aura.

At this moment, her delicate face revealed a pitiful look, which was quite endearing.

Looking at Jasper, Jocelyn nodded tearfully. "It hurts."

Jasper nodded and got up, poured a glass of warm water, adjusted the bed to a 45-degree angle, took a painkiller, and handed it to her along with the water. "If it hurts, take this pill."

"What is this?" Looking at the pill in Jasper's hand, Jocelyn curiously asked.

Jasper smirked and asked, "Why, are you afraid I'll harm you?"

Hastily, Jocelyn shook her head again.

"Stop shaking your head." Immediately Jasper reached out and held her chin to stop her, preventing her from touching the wound on her forehead.

Jocelyn looked at him with wide watery eyes, her heart beating faster.

"Painkiller. Take it quickly." Saying that, Jasper brought the pill to her lips, comforting, "Come on, open your mouth, Hart."

Looking at him, Jocelyn obediently took the pill.

Jasper placed the pill in her mouth and handed her the water.

Jocelyn took it and swallowed the pill.

"Thank you." After taking the pill, Jocelyn looked at Jasper softly.

Jasper nodded, reached out, gently rubbed Jocelyn's hair with tenderness and a hint of indulgence, saying, "Be a good girl in the future, don't always make your sister angry."

Jocelyn looked at him with teary eyes, nodded obediently. "Okay."

At that moment, Hayden finished her call and came back in.

Jocelyn saw her and softly called out, "Hayden." She looked like a pitiful child who had made a big mistake.

Hayden sighed and asked angrily and helplessly, "How are you feeling? Is there anywhere else that hurts?"

Jocelyn looked at her and shook her head gently. "No."

"Then behave and stay in the hospital. If there's nothing wrong tomorrow, we'll pick you up. Jasper and I have things to deal and need to leave first." Hayden's expression wasn't very good.

Jasper's brother and Nico were still waiting at the Bush family residence to discuss their wedding plans. They couldn't keep them waiting forever.

"Okay." Jocelyn nodded obediently again. "Hayden, Jasper, goodbye."

Hayden glanced at her, then turned and left directly. Jasper smiled at her and followed Hayden.

As Jocelyn watched Jasper smile at her, she became lost in thought.

Jasper was really gentle.

But why were all the good men Hayden's? Gabriel before, and now Jasper too.

Was it because she was her sister?
