Chapter 490 William and Hayden (91)

"Sorry, William. I need to go to the bathroom." With these words, Hayden didn't even wait for his response and passed by him directly, heading outside.

"William," as William was about to catch up with Hayden, Nico appeared out of nowhere and called out to him.

Seeing that it was Nico, William had to stop and look at her, politely saying, "Nico."

"Let me introduce you. This is my daughter, Quinn, who just returned from overseas a few days ago," Nico said, pulling Quinn along and smiling as she introduced her. Quinn, this is William. You've always wanted to meet him."

"Nico's daughter has grown up so much." Looking at Quinn, who was the same age as Jasper, William smiled politely and warmly, saying, "Miss Hart, hello."

"William, you can call me Quinn. I heard your name long ago, but I didn't want to disturb you when I saw you were busy," Quinn looked at William and smiled confidently.

Quinn Hart was Nico's daughter, Miss of The Hart family, and she looked just as flawless in appearance and demeanor.

William nodded and smiled, raising the glass in his hand to clink with Quinn's glass. "I'm so lucky that Nico and Quinn value me."

"Quinn, you entertain William for me," Nico said reassuringly, Seeing that William had a good attitude toward Quinn.

"Mom, don't worry," Quinn said playfully.

Nico smiled, exchanged a few more words with William, and then walked away.

As soon as Nico left, several other wealthy ladies who were eyeing William approached, wanting to get to know him, and even asked for his contact information.

Just as the two ladies were asking William for his contact information, his phone vibrated in his pocket.

He took out his phone and glanced at it, politely saying to everyone, "I'm sorry. I will excuse myself for a moment."

With that, he took his phone directly and walked in the direction Hayden had disappeared.

In the restroom, Hayden stood by the sink, using her fingers to stimulate her throat and vomit out the alcohol she had just consumed.

Although the alcohol content was not high, it could still affect the development of the fetus. She couldn't risk affecting her baby, but in such a setting, she couldn't refuse to drink either.

So, her only option now was to vomit out the alcohol.

Hayden rinsed her mouth, used tissue to wipe off the water stains on her face and hands, and then fixed her makeup in front of the mirror.

Once her makeup was done and she felt that she looked normal in the mirror, she finally opened the door and went out.

However, as the door opened, a tall and imposing figure immediately approached. Before she could react, she was engulfed in a warm and familiar embrace, and her body was spun around. The door closed with a soft click, and she found herself pressed against the door.

Realizing what was happening, Hayden looked up and saw the handsome face she had been yearning for.

Unexplainably, her nose started to tingle, but she tried hard to control her emotions, maintaining a calm and composed exterior and avoiding any emotional fluctuations.

Seeing Hayden so close, William couldn't restrain himself any longer. He lowered his head and captured Hayden's lips with his own.

Hayden beheld his handsome face's sudden proximity, and she was taken aback. She understood the situation they were in. She immediately pushed against William's chest with both hands, forcefully pushing him away.

Caught off guard, William took two steps backward, releasing Hayden.

"William, what do you think you're doing?" Hayden angrily questioned him, glaring at him.

Watching the captivating and vibrant Hayden before him, William furrowed his eyebrows. He spoke directly, "Hayden, marry me. Let's get married tomorrow."

Hayden looked at William, who was even more impulsive than she had imagined. Despite feeling joy in her heart, her anger grew stronger. She sneered. "William, we broke up a long time ago. Did you forget?"

If she dared to marry William tomorrow, then Finn would dare to have William abducted before their wedding and have her baby terminated.

"Hayden, I know you're pregnant. That's our child. How can I let you bear the pain alone?" William couldn't understand Hayden at this moment, but he had to express his thoughts to her.

"Pregnant? With your child?" It seemed like she had heard the biggest joke. Hayden sarcastically smiled, "William, where did you hear that? We broke up a long time ago. Do you think I would be foolish enough to have a child with you? Even if I were pregnant, I would never keep the baby."

"Hayden." William looked at Hayden in disbelief. "What are you saying?"

"I'm saying that I'm not pregnant, and we have truly broken up. Even if I were carrying your child, I would never give birth to it. Do you understand?" Hayden looked at him, enunciating each word.

At this moment, she must not show any weakness. Otherwise, she couldn't predict the consequences.

"Isabella was your best friend; she told me that you were pregnant," he said, looking at Hayden with firm denial and indifference. William's brows furrowed tightly. His heart felt as if it was being torn apart, an indescribable discomfort.

Looking at him, Hayden coldly smiled. "Isabella said I am pregnant, and you believe her, but why don't you believe me when I say I'm not?"

"Whether you are pregnant or not is simple: let's go to the hospital and get a check-up," William said, reaching out to grab her wrist, intending to pull her along.

Hayden panicked, immediately pulling her hand forcefully out of his grasp and yelling, "William, we have broken up. Stop bothering me, alright?"

"Broken up?" Looking at her, William grew annoyed, "Hayden, who said we broke up?"

Looking at him, Hayden sneered. "William, are you always going to be this selfish? Look at all the wealthy people out there. Who among them has a worse background than you? Why should I choose you? Furthermore, you only want to marry me to become part of the Smith Family, to rely on them for support."

Hayden's words were like bombs exploding in his ears, one after another, causing William's mind to roar.

He couldn't believe that Hayden would say such things to him.

"Hayden, are these your true thoughts?" William asked her, unable to believe it.

At this moment, all the strength in his body seemed to be drained. He was left barely standing.

"What do you think?" Hayden coldly laughed, avoiding directly answering, "Why do you think I must choose you? Can you provide me with a better life than what I have now? If you can't, what gives you the confidence?"

He looked at her; her question was like a sharp knife, viciously stabbing into William's heart, but his determination remained unwavering. So, he nodded and firmly said, "Yes, I have that confidence. I will work hard and give you everything."

William slowly reached out to Hayden as he spoke, "Hayden, let's face this together, okay?"

"No!"

Hayden's previous mental preparation was almost shattered, but just before she was about to reach out her hand to William, she snapped back to reality.

She roared lowly, rejecting him, slapping away the hand William extended to her, and mockingly sneered. "William, wait until the day you can stand shoulder to shoulder with The Smith Group, then come and talk to me about facing it together."

With those words, she immediately turned around, forcefully opened the bathroom door, and swiftly walked out.
William reached out his hand, wanting to grab her, but all he caught was the cold air. Hayden quickly disappeared from his sight.

He smelled the faint scent of Hayden that still lingered in the air. William clenched his teeth and closed his eyes, but he couldn't control himself and fiercely punched the wall.

"Hayden, don't worry, I will never let you down!"
