Chapter 594 "Sister, Save Me"
"How are you feeling? Are you still uncomfortable?" William asked Michelle as he pressed an automatic button to raise the head of the hospital bed, allowing Michelle to lean against it.
Michelle frowned, squinted at William, and shook her head. "I'm okay, just my throat hurts."
"Then have some water." William went to pour a glass of water, leaned down, supported Michelle with one hand, and fed her to drink.
Michelle shook her head after taking two sips, indicating she didn't want more.
William laid her back on the hospital bed, put down the water glass, then sat on the chair beside the bed, looking at her. "You're so sick, why didn't you tell me?"
Looking at him, Michelle smiled weakly and said, "I was afraid you would think I was pretending to be sick to get your attention and you would be more annoyed with me."
Looking at her, William suddenly furrowed his brows.
"I'm sorry, William. For what I said and did to Hayden. It's just... I didn't want to lose you." Michelle looked at William, made an effort to smile again, and continued, "Hayden is the heiress of the Bush Family; she can have anything she wants. I'm really scared, scared that you might not want me, and go back to her, especially since she's carrying your babies."
"You're overthinking it." William leaned over, tucked the corner of the blanket for Michelle. "Now I am your fiancé. No matter what happens, I hope you can tell me and discuss it with me."
Looking at the gentle William in front of her, tears suddenly welled up in Michelle's eyes, looking aggrieved and excited. She said, "William, you really don't blame me?"
"As long as you can keep your promises and don't do what you shouldn't, there's nothing to blame." William looked at her with a gentle expression and a soft voice.
Michelle nodded heavily. "I understand, William. I won't let you down again."
"Are you hungry? Do you want to eat something?" Suddenly, William changed the topic.
"I'm hungry." Michelle nodded softly.
William said, "Okay, I'll have someone prepare it; you rest for a while."
"Okay."
In another VIP ward of the hospital, after lunch, Hayden looked at some documents for a while, finally feeling a bit sleepy, and dozed off. However, she didn't sleep for long.
Melissa came over with her phone and spoke softly. "Hayden, Jocelyn's call."
If it was someone else's call, Melissa could have answered and asked them to call back later.
But it was from Hayden's beloved younger sister, Jocelyn. Hayden made it clear that no matter the circumstances, if Jocelyn called, she was to be notified immediately. So Melissa didn't dare to delay.
Hayden wasn't in a deep sleep, so she woke up as soon as Melissa approached. When she heard that it was Jocelyn calling, she opened her eyes, took a moment to gather herself, then took the phone and answered with a smile, "Jocelyn, miss me?"
"Hayden..." Jocelyn had just spoken when a familiar male voice came through the phone.
"Hayden, it's me, Gabriel. Now put the phone on speaker and call Teresa."
Before Jocelyn could say more, a familiar male voice interrupted from the phone. It was Gabriel.
"Gabriel?!" Hearing Gabriel's voice, Hayden was surprised; her brows furrowed. "Aren't you on your honeymoon with Teresa at Maplewood Creek? How come you're with Jocelyn?"
"Hayden, it seems you don't know your sister very well! If she wasn't your sister, I would make her die a miserable death." Immediately, Gabriel's cold and fierce voice came through the phone, making Hayden shiver.
Jocelyn shouted, "Hayden, save me! Please save me..."
Jocelyn's voice sounded terribly off.
Thinking that Jocelyn was currently studying in Bumbleland, Gabriel wouldn't have said those words without reason. Hayden almost immediately exploded in anger and growled. "Jocelyn, what have you done?"
The nurse and Melissa, who were listening, couldn't help but shudder in fear.
Jocelyn uttered, "Hayden, I..."
"Hayden, Teresa has been looking for me for so long; she must be going crazy by now. Don't waste time. Put it on speaker and call Teresa." Gabriel's voice on the phone sounded urgent.
"Okay!" Without waiting to figure out what was going on, Hayden quickly agreed. "Gabriel, don't do anything to Jocelyn for now. Let's discuss everything. I'll call Teresa right now."
With that, Hayden initiated a three-way call and immediately dialed Teresa's number.
"Hello..." The call was quickly answered, and Teresa's hoarse and trembling voice came through, making Hayden's brows furrow even deeper.
Now, she really wanted to know what had happened.
"Dear, it's me!" On the other end of the phone, Gabriel spoke very gently. "I'm fine. Don't worry about me. I'm at Frogtown now, at Jocelyn's villa; I'll be back soon, back to our cabin. Stay there and wait for me."
"Teresa, what happened between you and Gabriel?" Hayden was extremely puzzled.
"Teresa." Gabriel on the phone couldn't hear Teresa's voice and called out urgently.
"I'm here." On the other end, Teresa's trembling voice was almost inaudible. "Dear, I'm here..."
Listening to Gabriel and Teresa's conversation, Hayden was extremely confused. When they were almost done talking, she couldn't help but ask again, "Teresa, Gabriel, what exactly happened?"
"Hayden, now you inform all the bodyguards at the villa to prepare a car for me to leave." Gabriel's voice toward Hayden instantly turned cold and stern.
"Gabriel, what exactly happened? Please tell me so I can make arrangements." Hearing Gabriel's voice, Hayden was getting anxious.
"Teresa and I were skiing at the ski resort when we encountered an avalanche. Your sister happened to be there too. She saved me and then drugged me, confined me, forced me to have sex with her. She wanted me to divorce Teresa that she can marry me. Do you understand now?" Immediately, Gabriel's angry voice followed.
"What?!" Hearing Gabriel's roar, Hayden was shocked, almost dumbfounded.
She couldn't believe that her sister, whom she loved like a daughter, would do such a thing.
"Hayden, save me!" Before Hayden could fully react, Jocelyn's trembling plea for help came through.
Upon hearing Jocelyn's plea for help, Hayden finally regained her composure, couldn't contain her anger, and roared angrily, "Jocelyn, tell me, is what Gabriel said true?"
"Gabriel wants to kill me." Jocelyn wasn't afraid of Hayden, but she was afraid of Gabriel at the moment. Because she felt that Gabriel was really about to strangle her.
Hayden said, "Gabriel, don't act rashly. Jocelyn was wrong, but don't kill her; let's discuss everything." Jocelyn was young and naive, not understanding Gabriel's ruthlessness, but Hayden did, so she immediately felt scared, negotiated with Gabriel with pleading. Then she said, "I'll immediately notify all the bodyguards at the villa to safely send you away, and no one will trouble you again."
Hayden immediately instructed Melissa to call the security guards at Jocelyn's villa and had them follow Gabriel's arrangements to escort him away.
"Gabriel, all the security guards and servants at the villa now follow your instructions. Release Jocelyn, and I will handle her. I will give you a satisfactory explanation." After instructing the bodyguards, Hayden immediately promised Gabriel again.
"Okay. I'll wait for your explanation." With that, the call was immediately hung up.
Hayden put down the phone; she was very angry, looking haggard; her brows furrowed tighter.
Melissa noticed something was wrong with her and immediately asked the nurse to call the doctor.
"Melissa, immediately bring Jocelyn to River North." Clenching the phone tightly, Hayden instructed Melissa, completely ignoring her own discomfort and the restlessness of the two babies in her belly due to her anger.
"Okay, Hayden. I'll arrange it right away. Please don't get angry; the doctor said you can't get angry; you need to stay calm," Melissa urged urgently.
Hayden now remembered her situation, so she nodded, trying hard to calm her emotions, and then ordered, "Don't let anyone know about Jocelyn's situation for now."
Melissa nodded. "Okay, Hayden."
After her words, Hayden continued to try to calm down, but it was too late. Her anger had overwhelmed her just now. And the two little ones in her belly felt her immense anger and were particularly restless in her belly.
Gradually, a series of obvious pains came one after another.
Uncontrollably, Hayden clenched the bed sheet with one hand while gently caressing her swollen belly with the other. "Babies, don't be naughty. Mom promises not to get angry, listen to me, okay..."
Soon, several expert doctors rushed in, lifted Hayden's blanket, and saw the bright red on the white sheet. The lead doctor frowned and immediately said without hesitation, "Quick, prepare for surgery."
Hayden groaned, "Doctor, can we..."
"Hayden, no, we can't wait any longer; we must ensure the safety of you and the two babies. You must have surgery immediately." Before Hayden could plead, the lead doctor interrupted her firmly.
With immense pain, Hayden closed her eyes and nodded.
The lead doctor instructed. "Quick, take her to the operating room."
Someone replied, "Got it."
