Chapter 610 The Cry of the Child

William said angrily, "Michelle, you have disappointed me too much."

William finally released Michelle after dragging her all the way to the car and shoving her inside.

After he got into the car from the other side, William leaned back in his seat, closed his eyes, concealing the anger in his eyes. However, the tone of his voice couldn't hide the anger.

Michelle looked at him and laughed softly. "William, you're with me, engaged to me, but your thoughts are with another woman. Isn't it you who were disappointing from the start?"

"Yes, I was wrong." Suddenly, William opened his eyes, his cold and sharp gaze swept toward Michelle. "But you left the Imperial Capital, left James, tried so hard to get close to me, bribed the Bennett Group's HR director, came to interview at the Bennett family, and disregarded everything just to protect me, aren't you doing all this just to be with me?"

"You..." Michelle looked at William, her eyes widened in shock. "You investigated me!"

"Michelle, all of that wouldn't have mattered considering you and your family saved me twice. But you failed because, knowing that Hayden is the one I care about, you repeatedly provoked and angered her in my name." William's deep eyes were intensely cold as he spoke with barely contained anger.

"So it's all my fault in the end." Michelle said with a self-deprecating smile. "But you have been cooperating with me quite well, haven't you? William, why do you have to live so tired?"

"Michelle, even if we can't be husband and wife, I hope we can be friends. I will also treat your parents like my own," William said, changing the topic, though his voice remained icy. "But if you just want to show off in front of Hayden and don't want anything, then I will definitely fulfill your wish."

"What do you mean?" Hearing William's blatant threat, Michelle suddenly felt a bit scared.

"It's simple, if you provoke Hayden again, whether it's as my wife or the 3% stake in the Bennett Group, you won't get either." Closing his eyes again, leaning back in his seat, William said calmly.

Whether it's as my wife or the 3% stake in the Bennett family, you won't get either.
Michelle looked at William, who was so ruthless toward her for the sake of Hayden, gritting her teeth in anger.

The next day, Teresa sent Hayden, Chloe, and Logan back to the Imperial Capital together.

Teresa sent them to the Imperial Capital that she were most likely going to stay overnight.

Gabriel was worried and reluctant that he followed along to take care of some business at the Imperial Capital branch.

However, despite accompanying them to Imperial Capital, Gabriel did not join Teresa in returning Hayden and the two children to the Bush family residence because he absolutely did not want to see Jocelyn. Just seeing her made him want to throttle her.

But considering the relationship between Teresa and Hayden, it was unlikely for Gabriel to strangle Jocelyn.

The two children still needed to stay in incubators. Hayden didn't want to keep going back and forth between the hospital and home, so they set up a sterile room in the Bush family residence and had the incubators and medical staff brought to the house.

Jocelyn had been forcibly kept at home. Upon hearing that Hayden had returned, she was overjoyed and immediately rushed downstairs to greet them. However, she didn't expect to see Teresa arriving with Hayden.

Instantly, a flash of hostility crossed her eyes.

But hostility disappeared the next moment, replaced by a joyful expression as she ran over, happily calling out, "Hayden, Teresa."

Teresa and Hayden walked into the hall, each holding a child. When they heard someone calling them, they looked up and saw Jocelyn running toward them with a joyful and light-hearted expression. Teresa couldn't help but shudder all over.

She really couldn't reconcile the Jocelyn in front of her with the one who had drugged Gabriel, forced him to have sex with her, and forced them to divorce.

One was so pure and good, the other was so sinister and malicious. They were clearly not the same person, yet this was who Jocelyn had become.

"Hayden, it's great that you and Chloe and Logan are finally back." Jocelyn ran to Hayden, full of joy.

Hayden glanced at Teresa, then at Jocelyn, knowing that Teresa definitely didn't want to see Jocelyn, so he spoke coldly, "Chloe and Logan are still very fragile now. Don't touch them. Go back to your room first."

Jocelyn whispered, "Hayden..."

"Don't you understand my words?" Hayden's tone hardened as Jocelyn tried to act affectionately.

"Okay." Jocelyn obediently agreed who dared not argue with Hayden anymore, then drooped her head and went upstairs to her room.

Her pitiful and aggrieved appearance made people feel sorry for her.

But no one knew, Jocelyn almost hated herself to the point of tearing a piece of flesh from her palm.

She was Hayden's own sister, the heir of the Bush family. Why did Hayden treat Teresa better than her?

After Jocelyn went upstairs, Hayden smiled and took Teresa to the sterile room with the children.

After settling the two children, Teresa stayed with Hayden for nearly an hour. Originally, they were supposed to have dinner at the Bush family residence, but around six o'clock in the afternoon, Gabriel called and said he was waiting outside the Bush family residence for her.

Since that was the case, Hayden didn't keep Teresa and personally escorted her out.

When Hayden returned after sending Teresa off, she heard the cry of the child as soon as she entered the hall. Although the voice was weak, Hayden could hear it clearly as a mother.

She immediately rushed to the sterile room on the first floor.

Upon reaching it and pushing open the door, she saw Jocelyn standing in front of the incubator without wearing sterile clothing, holding Logan's tiny hand.

Instinctively, Hayden shouted in anger, "Jocelyn, what are you doing?"
