Chapter 32 Unwelcome Advances

Teresa's cry for help was a choked whisper, "Somebody... help..."

"You want us to get caught?" Gabriel was mocking. His kisses had smothered her protests until she could hardly breathe. When she tried to scream, his hand snapped over her mouth, his smirk darkened with silent threats.

Panic flickered in Teresa's eyes, she cried out of fear.

The temprature of her tears jolted Gabriel, and he let her go abruptly.

"Please, Gabriel," Teresa's voice shook, "Let me go. What we had wasn’t anything serious!"

He was like a specter that wouldn't fade, and her fear was palpable. Since fighting back seemed useless, she resorted to pleading.

Gabriel, struck by an unfamiliar pang of conscience as he saw her tears, loosened his grip. He tenderly wiped her cheeks, his voice was low and seductive, "Leave Liam. Marry me instead. What do you say?"

"You've gone mad!" Teresa pushed him away.

Gabriel regained his stance. "I mean it. Consider it." he added.

"Go to hell!" she shouted back. "I wouldn't choose you even if you were the last man alive."

His eyes narrowed, his hand lifting her chin, "Am I so repugnant to you, Teresa? What's so good about Liam?"

She met his gaze with pure loathing. "Liam is more of a man than you'll ever be."

"Really?" His tone was challenging as he leaned in, a dangerous spark in his eyes, "Shall we test that theory?"

"You despicable!" she hissed, and tried to push him away with all her strengths.

"I am shameless in my desire for you," he replied.

A sharp gasp escaped her.

"Miss, are you alright?" Beatrice's voice approached.

"Call the police, quick, there's a ..."

Before Teresa could finish, Gabriel's hand was over her mouth again.

"Sure, call them," he taunted, "but then you'll be mine."

He stepped back, his gaze holding hers, a confident smile playing on his lips.

"Miss, should I?"

"Forget it." Teresa knew the kind of chaos a police report would bring. It would drag both families through scandal, and she couldn't risk that.

"The more you touch me, the more I hate you," she warned Gabriel, her was glare sharp as knives. With that, she stormed off to the safety of the villa with Beatrice.

Gabriel watched her leave, although there was a still a smile on his face, but inside he was blue.
