Chapter 466 William and Hayden (67)
In an instant, a sense of frustration surged from the depths of his heart.
He knew that with his and the Bennett family's current status, they were no match for the Smith family.
But no matter what, he would never let go of Hayden's hand, never!
....
After a heavy snowfall on the weekend, Hayden, William, and Jasper went skiing.
After skiing and upon returning Monday morning, I held the Master's degree awarding ceremony at the business school.
William obtained his MBA from the prestigious Southern Business School, graduating with flying colors.
However, Jasper wasn't so lucky; he still needed to complete all his credits and required at least another half-year to graduate and receive his MBA.
Obtaining an MBA degree usually takes two years, but because William was exceptional, he finished the coursework that normally took others two years in less than eighteen months. Moreover, he didn't neglect his career, which flourished alongside his studies.
After the graduation ceremony, they left the auditorium, said goodbye to their classmates, and got into the car. Then Hayden handed William a high-end black velvet box.
After securing her seatbelt, William looked at the black velvet box, his lips curling into a smile, "What's this?"
"A graduation gift," Hayden replied with a playful smile.
William smiled and took the box from her hand, opening it.
Inside was a men's wolf head lapel pin, meticulously crafted with top-quality diamonds and sapphires. Its design was unique and unlike anything he had ever seen.
Upon examining the logo, I noticed that one of the world's most prestigious jewelers had meticulously crafted the pin. This jeweler is renowned for crafting pieces exclusively for royalty and the wealthiest families.
Looking at the valuable wolf headpin in his hand, William couldn't help but chuckle. He looked up at the woman before him and said, "Hayden, this is too precious."
While William frequently gave Hayden various gifts since they officially became a couple, none were as valuable as the brooch he held in his hands at that moment.
Hayden smiled, lifted her hands to loop around his neck, and leaned in to gently kiss his lips. "No worries. If you think it's valuable, then you can take a lifetime to pay me back."
Looking at the woman so close to him, William's lips curled into a contented and happy smile. He couldn't help but press his head down, capturing Hayden's soft, red lips. In a deep, husky voice, he murmured, "Deal..."
Several meters away from the car window, outside the hall entrance, Michelle stood at a corner, watching the two entangled in an embrace inside the car. A smirk formed on her lips, full of sarcasm, yet inside, she seethed with rage and envy.
She had been confined to bed for over a month, and even now, she had not fully recovered, still relying on crutches to walk. Meanwhile, Hayden and William were wrapped in each other's arms day and night, enjoying a carefree and luxurious lifestyle.
Seeing Hayden grow more radiant and beautiful by the day, knowing it resulted from the man she had loved first, only heaven knew how jealous and hateful Michelle felt.
However, she hadn't been idle these past two months.
She had someone uncover the family backgrounds of Hayden, William, and Jasper back in the United States.
Hayden was the eldest daughter of the Smith family, one of the top three wealthiest families in the Imperial Capital, and also held the title of Miss Smith.
What a pity that after her mother's suicide and the stepmother's takeover of the Smith family, Hayden had become less valuable.
"Since I can't break up Hayden and William myself, I'll just get someone who can," Michelle thought, eager to watch the drama unfold.
...
At noon, William celebrated his successful acquisition of a Master's degree with a group of friends at the business school graduation.
Among these friends was another who, like William, had graduated early with a Master's degree.
After the celebration, Hayden, William, and Jasper headed back to the apartment together.
As the car entered the underground parking garage and came to a halt, Hayden got out and glanced up to see three black cars parked near William's spot.
Suddenly, Hayden's eyes darkened, her heart seemed to clench tight, and her breathing was heavy with confusion.
William exited the car and walked around from the front, seeing Hayden frozen in place. Following her gaze, he also looked toward the three black vehicles.
The vehicles were high-end and luxurious, strikingly familiar.
"Where have I seen them before?" William pondered, racking his brain for a memory.
The three cars belonged to Finn. William remembered the morning jog when Finn had taken Hayden with him and Finn had been sitting in these three cars.
William's brows slightly furrowed, but he quickly regained his composure and walked over to Hayden.
"Hayden."
Hearing her name, Hayden gradually came back to her senses, shifting her gaze from the trio of black sedans in front of her to look at William.
With a tender and indulgent smile tugging at his lips, William reached for her hand and softly said, "Let's go upstairs."
"No, William. I just remembered something. I must go back to the Orion Nash mansion. You go ahead..."
"Whoa, where did these three Bentleys come from? And they're all matching—whose grand display of wealth is this..."
Hayden's words were interrupted by Jasper, who had just parked his car and was now stepping out.
Seeing the three black Bentleys, Jasper also abruptly stopped talking.
After taking a good look and confirming his suspicions, he slowly turned his head toward Hayden and William with a furrowed brow. "Hayden, these cars are from your family, right?"
