Chapter 530 William and Hayden
Nearly ten hours later, William's private jet landed smoothly at Imperial Capital International Airport. The first rays of dawn slowly awakened the peaceful Imperial Capital.
It was still early, so William went directly to Sunset Haven Resort. He had a long-term reservation for a suite at the resort, where he could stay anytime. The suite was equipped with his personal belongings and clothing.
Arriving at the hotel, he took a shower and changed his clothes, tidying himself up. His phone rang right on time.
"William, we have roughly found out about Hayden's situation," the voice on the phone spoke respectfully.
"Tell me," William said calmly, standing in front of the dressing mirror, adjusting his tie.
"Hayden had been staying at the Petrova Manor without leaving the house for a month. However, half a month ago, CEO Bush Smith suddenly took a group of people to the Petrova Manor while Hayden's grandmother was away. Then, in the afternoon, Hayden had a severe hemorrhage and almost died when she was brought to the hospital."
She almost died when she was brought to the hospital.
As William listened, his deep pupils suddenly contracted. His heart ached. So, half a month ago, their child had died.
At this moment, William surprisingly did not feel sad or painful because of the loss of their child. Instead, he was grateful that Hayden was now healthy.
"What transpired subsequently?" William inquired, his voice roughened by emotion after a moment of heavy silence.
"Upon her discharge after a fortnight in the hospital, Hayden proceeded directly to the Johnson Villa. It was there that she began to engage regularly with Hall," relayed the informant on the line with prompt efficiency.
After being discharged from the hospital, Hayden didn't delay; she headed straight for Johnson Villa, where she initiated regular meetings with Hall.
William was familiar with Hall, Sophia's second brother, who divorced just over six months ago. He was not only turning forty soon but also had various bad habits.
Although Hall was the second child of the Johnson family, Pierre had always held real power in the family. Hall was obedient to Pierre.
Hall was that kind of man. William couldn't believe that Hayden had contact with him because she liked him. She must have been forced to do so.
"Where is Hayden now?" William asked finally.
"He is at the Bush Smith villa," the person on the phone reported. They thought of something else and immediately added, "By the way, William, there is a business cocktail party on the 4th floor of the Carlton Hotel tonight, and Hayden will also be attending."
"Get me a ticket," William instructed.
He might not necessarily need it, but he wanted to be prepared.
"Yes, sir."
After hanging up the phone, William checked the time and walked straight out of the suite.
The Bush Smith villa.
After breakfast, Hayden headed straight out to work at the Bush Smith Group.
Finn wouldn't be going to the office today because he had to accompany Sophia for her prenatal check-up.
Sophia was already three months pregnant. This was her first comprehensive examination, and Finn was there with her the whole way.
Now, no matter how much Finn doted on Sophia, Hayden no longer felt anything because when Finn insisted so firmly that she give up the child she had been carrying for over five months, her father died in her heart.
Now, besides Jocelyn, the people living together were pretending to be a family.
After Hayden's car left the Bush Smith villa, a black Bentley followed closely behind.
Hayden drove, and when she saw the black Bentley following behind her through the rearview mirror, she didn't think much of it and assumed it was just a passerby.
However, when her car reached a section of road with sparse traffic, the black Bentley suddenly accelerated, catching up to her and driving alongside her.
Immediately, Hayden sensed something was wrong and looked to her right.
The rear window of the Bentley was rolled down. Through the clear glass, Hayden immediately saw the man sitting in the back seat.
It was William. It was actually William.
Looking at him, Hayden's nose became incredibly sour in an instant. She felt like she was about to cry right away.
Just as she was about to burst into tears, a piercing car horn sounded, instantly bringing Hayden back to her senses.
