569 William and Hayden

As the elevator doors closed and ascended towards the top floor, William pressed against her, trapping her between his chest and the elevator wall, kissing her fervently.

Facing the magnified wrath in William's handsome countenance, Hayden ceased struggling and endured silently.

With a "ding," the elevator reached the top floor. As the doors opened, William finally released her and then dragged her into a suite.

After shutting the door, William pulled her into the bedroom and forcefully threw her onto the large bed.

"What are you up to, William?" Angered, Hayden flipped on the bed, glaring at William and shouting loudly.

William stared intently at her, tearing off his tie and throwing it away. Swiftly discarding his suit jacket, he questioned, "Hayden, what do you think?"

"William, you..." Before Hayden could finish, William trapped her beneath him, roughly tearing her dress apart.

William today was truly unhinged, completely unlike his former self.

Initially, Hayden struggled, but eventually she fell silent, allowing him to vent his rage recklessly.

After what seemed like an eternity, just as Hayden was about to reach her breaking point, he reached his peak and abruptly stopped.

Before Hayden could catch her breath and regain her composure, William got off the bed to dress himself.

His movements were swift and elegant, swiftly dressing in a dignified and graceful manner.

"If you dare to leave like this, I'll loathe you forever, William." Angered, Hayden growled lowly as she watched William preparing to depart.

William paused, elegant and composed as he adjusted his cufflinks, then turned back. Briefly glancing at Hayden on the bed, he lowered his head and coolly remarked while fixing his cufflinks, "You should send more blue roses every day. This way, when I present them to Michelle, she will be happier."

Without further words or glances at Hayden, he departed, resembling a cold, heartless figure, worlds apart from his earlier demeanor.

"William, you bastard!" Furious as she watched him leave, Hayden exploded, picking up a pillow to hurl, only to be met with the sound of the door closing.

"Bastard, don't you dare touch me again!" He truly left like that. Hayden's tears flowed uncontrollably, rendering her a pitiful sight.

Once she regained her composure and requested clothing, William sent clothes to her instead.

The size was perfect, the colors and styles were to her liking. Hayden found a modicum of solace in her heart.

As she dressed and prepared to leave, her gaze fell upon a nearby garbage bin. Quietly lying inside was a used condom, containing William's "Armed Forces."

The main reason William now hated her so intensely was that she had knowingly killed their child.

If she were to have their child once again, would everything be different?

Hayden hurried to the living room, opened the fridge, and retrieved an ice pack.

Grabbing the ice pack and a clean bag, she returned to the garbage bin, picking up a small umbrella.

Leaving the club, Hayden returned to her car to retrieve her phone. She immediately called Justin and contacted the doctor. She needed her sperm to be frozen.

Five days later, at a prestigious private hospital in the Imperial Capital.

The doctor conducted a comprehensive examination on Hayden and discovered she had undergone a termination surgery before, causing significant damage to her uterus. It would be challenging for her to conceive naturally again, unless through IVF.

Upon hearing the doctor's advice, Hayden promptly agreed without hesitation. She informed the doctor of her wish to have twins.

The doctor, after a moment of contemplation, responsibly replied, "Hayden, given the current condition of your uterus and body, aiming for twins may not be advisable. Towards the later stages, it might become challenging for you. For safety reasons, we suggest that having one child would be more suitable."

"You'll be there for me, right?" Smiling at the doctor, Hayden's lips curved into a radiant smile. "I believe you'll ensure my and the baby's safety, won't you?"

The doctor sighed helplessly as he gazed at her, "Very well, since you're determined, we will do our best."

Expressing her gratitude, Hayden nodded sincerely, "Thank you!"

"Next, it might be quite challenging for you. You must cooperate with us. Will that be okay for you?" the doctor inquired.

Hayden nodded once more, saying earnestly, "As long as I can give birth to a pair of healthy babies, no matter how tough it gets, I can endure it."

"Very well, we will strive to help you achieve your wish."

"Thank you."

Subsequently, Hayden cooperated with the doctor and began taking ovulation-stimulating medications.

To ensure the health of her eggs, she ate on time every day, ensuring sufficient nutrition. She rested adequately, avoiding late nights.

Two weeks later, the doctor arranged for egg retrieval.

After a successful retrieval, she rested for a night. The next day, she boarded The Bush Smith family's private jet, flying to River North.

The collaboration with Capital Construction had been confirmed. On this trip to River North, apart from signing the contract with Capital Construction, the more crucial event awaited in two days—a grand annual charity auction banquet in River North.

She had researched thoroughly and knew that William would be attending this charity auction banquet.

Upon arrival in River North, the contract signing with Capital Construction went smoothly. Two nights later at the charity auction banquet, she finally saw William as she had hoped.

Her expectations were shattered.

In her envisioned world, it had always been just her and William, with no others. But this "other" was Michelle, the woman who William once detested immensely.

At the banquet, Michelle not only appeared as William's girlfriend in the public eye but also stayed by his side, displaying great intimacy. It was evident to all how tenderly William cared for her.

Due to Michelle's presence, Hayden suffered a significant setback in the first half of the banquet.

Seizing a rare opportunity, she followed William into the men's restroom. She had the other men in the restroom dismissed. When William forcefully kissed her, she thought she had won a round.

As Michelle knocked on the restroom door, William immediately released her, suppressing all desires in his gaze, then turned and left.

She pleaded with William not to open the door, but he did so without hesitation, exposing her humiliation and disgrace to Michelle.

This was the first time she lost to Michelle, and in such a pitiable manner.

When Michelle's gaze turned challenging and mocking toward her, Hayden surprisingly felt no anger.

Instead, she felt an unprecedented chill, causing her to tremble uncontrollably.

Teresa helped her win a round. Surrounded by a dozen outstanding young talents, she finally left with a newcomer from an internet company who was no less than William.

Though she appeared victorious on the surface, the depth of her defeat was known only to herself.

Leaving the banquet venue, she returned to the hotel with the internet newcomer. They both resided at the Sunset Haven Resort.

They intended to head to the hotel bar, but Hayden, dressed in a dazzling starry gown, found it inconvenient. She returned to the suite on the top floor to change clothes.

Hayden intentionally sought to stir up a scandal. She invited him to the suite herself.

The internet newcomer's name was Eric Lee, in his thirties.

After changing, Hayden planned to go to the bar. However, she changed her mind at the last minute, opting to open a bottle of wine in the suite. They chatted while sipping, discussing business matters.

There were some flaws in The Bush Smith Group's accounting system that were difficult to solve on the existing basis. Hayden hoped that Eric could develop a new financial system specifically tailored to The Bush Smith Group's needs.

Suddenly, Hayden's phone vibrated.

Glancing at her phone nonchalantly, Hayden's heartbeat skipped a beat upon seeing the numbers dancing on the screen.

However, she chose not to answer and instead proceeded with discussing the various requirements for the new financial system with Eric.

"Hayden, your phone," Eric, seeing Hayden ignore the persistently vibrating phone, politely reminded her with a smile.

Hayden glanced at her phone and replied with a smile, "It's probably just a nuisance call, nothing to worry about."

Eric nodded in understanding and they continued their conversation.

After a while, Hayden said abruptly, "Excuse me for a moment, I'll print some documents for you to look at."

She rose and headed to the bedroom.

Just as Hayden entered the bedroom, her phone vibrated once more. Eric, noticing that it was the same number as before, suspected that it might not be a nuisance call. The repeated calls likely indicated something urgent.

Eager to help, Eric picked up Hayden's phone and made his way towards her room.

As it was their first meeting, Eric felt uneasy about entering casually. Thus, he remained at the doorway, observing Hayden seated in front of the computer. "Hayden, I believe someone important is trying to reach you," he said, smiling.

Briefly glancing at her phone, Hayden pretended to be engrossed in work and replied, "Could you please answer it for me? Thank you."

Accepting Hayden's request, Eric answered the call politely, "Hello, who's calling? Hayden is currently occupied and unable to take the call."

After voicing this, the caller remained silent at the other end.

Furrowing his brows slightly at the lack of response from the caller, Eric observed Hayden's gesture next and heard her emit a tender and alluring call, "Eric, come over, and take a look."

Taken aback by Hayden's suddenly soft voice, Eric was momentarily surprised. He smirked, held the phone, and strode over to Hayden's side. His tone turned notably gentler, "What seems to be the matter?"

"Come closer and take a look here." Hayden rose from her seat and gestured for Eric to take her place.

Nodding in response, Eric intended to hand the phone to Hayden but found that the call had been disconnected.

"This..." Eric chuckled as he observed the disconnected call, "It's probably a pestering call after all, there was no response from the other end."

Taking back her phone, Hayden smiled brightly. "My computer can't connect to the network. Could you check if there's a problem with my laptop?"

"Sure, I'll look into it," Eric responded with a smile. He then took a seat and began checking the network.

Standing behind him, Hayden unlocked her phone and glanced at the call that lasted only eleven seconds. She wasn't sure if she should be happy or wryly amused.

‘William, is your trust in me worth only eleven seconds? Or have you never truly trusted me at all?’
