Chapter 333 Unanticipated Desires and Consequences

Chapter 333 Unanticipated Desires and Consequences
Whoever Liam chose to be with was none of her concern; she shouldn't trouble herself with it. With this thought, a faint smile played on Diana's lips as she walked toward the elevator to wait for Liam.
As she arrived, the elevator chimed softly, signaling its approach.
When the elevator doors opened, Diana saw Liam inside, leaning against the wall with his clothes in a mess. His suit jacket was open, shirt untucked, exposing his well-defined chest. He seemed upset, breathing heavily. Diana stood there, a bit surprised.
As the elevator doors fully opened, Liam turned around and glanced up, discovering Diana standing frozen outside. His intense gaze quickly darkened, and in a moment, he stepped out and took her hand, briskly leading her toward his car.
"Liam..." Diana stammered, taken by surprise as she felt the scorching heat of his palm. Her body involuntarily shivered, and panic seeped in. "Liam, what's the matter? What happened?"
Oblivious to her questions, Liam just kept moving, his firm grip guiding her to his car.
The driver, seeing them approach, promptly opened the car door. Automatically, with Liam still holding her hand, the two settled into the back seat of the vehicle.
Once they were inside, the driver promptly closed the door behind them and then took his place behind the wheel to start the engine.
"Liam, what's going on? " Diana's voice conveyed urgency and tension.
"Diana, help me!"
She glanced at Liam, who appeared to emanate intense heat, his entire presence engulfed in waves of it. She could speculate about what was unfolding, but she couldn't bring herself to believe it.
Before she could complete her sentence, he pressed the control switch above, raising the partition that separated the front and back of the car, cutting off her words.
Diana furrowed her brow deeply as she instinctively pulled away from the man whose demeanor was becoming increasingly ominous. "Liam, weren't you with Faith when—"
"She drugged me." But just as Diana was about to finish speaking, Liam interrupted her. He grabbed her shoulders and looked into her eyes with a strong sense of urgency. "Diana, I can't control it anymore."
"Liam, I have a boyfriend now." Even though Diana looked worried, she didn't move away from him. Her thoughts were confused about what action to take.
"Please, help me..." Liam pleaded, his head lowering to capture Diana's lips.
With his face coming closer, Diana's mind went blank.
After a few seconds of stunned silence, reality snapped back as Liam's fervent pursuit pressed on, and she found her senses.
"Liam." She tried to push him away hurriedly.
But after experiencing such pleasure, Liam's rationality had again given in entirely to his basic instincts, urging him to seek and crave more.
Ignoring all caution, he firmly held Diana and became fervently aggressive with his advances.
As Liam lost himself in a wildfire of passion just inches away, Diana silently closed her eyes, surrendering bit by bit, and slowly began to reciprocate his fervor.
Before long, the small car was filled with the beautiful sounds of a symphony.

...

The drive from Harmony Suites to the airport took about an hour. Once they arrived, the driver parked the car in the underground lot at the airport and promptly got out. He closed the door and then stood nearby, keeping an eye out.
The storm outside gradually subsided, returning to calm.
Liam gazed at Diana, her forehead glistening with sweat, feeling a newfound tenderness towards her. For the first time, he softly kissed her forehead. Then, he got up, picked up his suit jacket, and placed it over her shoulders. With a husky voice filled with tenderness, he asked, "Would you like to stop by someplace nearby to freshen up?"
Diana shook her head at him, then sat up and quietly started to get dressed, picking up her clothes. As she pulled her shirt over her head, she said, "Our flight's boarding in less than an hour; we better not."
However, pausing mid-motion as if a thought struck her, her expression darkened, and she asked, "Is there a pharmacy in the airport?"
She hadn't noticed that detail before. It seemed like such details were optional to her.
"Is something wrong? Are you feeling okay?" he asked with that same heart-melting softness.
"No," Diana said with a smile, looking down. "I just need to buy a morning-after pill."
Liam had given something important to her.
"Diana," he said, looking at her and reaching out to take her hand with sincerity. "If it happens because of this, I'll marry you."
Diana's heart skipped a beat, and she looked at Liam with incredulity. "Liam, did you really say that?"
"I'm sorry for my mistakes before." Liam held her hand, and his thumb gently caressed the back of her hand. "If you're pregnant, I will take full responsibility."
Confused, Diana looked at him, still trying to understand what was happening.
‘Was Liam starting to have feelings for me?’
‘No!’
What would this mean for Douglas if she and Liam became an item?
Coming back to her senses, Diana quickly withdrew her hand from his grasp, looked down, and said, "Sorry, Liam, I already have a boyfriend."
"Diana, you didn't do anything wrong. There is no need to apologize," Liam said as he reached out once again, taking hold of her shoulders with an earnestness in his eyes. "Listen, Diana, if you're willing, I can announce to everyone right now that you're my girlfriend."
"No, don't!" Diana quickly turned to Liam, shaking her head decisively. "Please, Liam, don't do that."
If Douglas discovered what happened between her and Liam today, he would be extremely angry, wouldn't he? Would he end up despising her?
"Liam, do you think I've stopped liking you?" Liam furrowed his brow as he looked at her.
"Liam, I'm with someone else." Diana's heart trembled as she looked at his mature and handsome face just inches away. She struggled to contain her emotions, but her thoughts kept reminding her not to betray Douglas.
She couldn't!
So, once again, she lowered her head, striving to contain her feelings with reason, "Liam, today I was just helping you out! Aside from our professional relationship, there's nothing more, please understand."
Reading her expression, Liam understood exactly what her pleading tone meant.
With a mysterious smile, Liam's lips curved slightly as he let go of her shoulders and reached for his clothes.
"Is your suitcase in the trunk? Let me get your clothes for you," Liam offered after getting dressed.
"Sure." Diana nodded without glancing at him. "Thanks."
With a smile, Liam exited the car to retrieve her clothes. Once he was gone, Diana let herself sink back into the seat and closed her eyes.
‘Oh Lord, you must be playing tricks on me!’
