Chapter 491 William and Hayden (92)

"It seems like William is quite popular!" Finn glanced at Hayden, who was sitting beside him, playing with her phone, and casually remarked as they walked back after the banquet.

Although he didn't like William, he had been observing him.

William's behavior at The Hart family's banquet had won him the favor and admiration of many people.

"Yes!" Hayden looked up from her phone screen, casually raising her eyebrows. "Finn, look, I'm also popular among men. Just tonight, I added at least fifty new friends."

She was saying that Hayden had handed her phone to Finn.

Finn glanced at her phone and saw many unread messages from business elites on the open Facebook page.

[Bring Nikolai over to our house. You guys can spend more time together and get to know each other.] Finn withdrew his gaze and said with indifference.

"Nikolai." Finn's words didn't surprise Hayden at all. She wasn't annoyed but instead smiled and asked, "Do you think he's suitable for me?"

Finn's expression darkened. "Nikolai genuinely likes you."

Hayden raised an eyebrow, still smiling. "He's just useless."

"So, you and I don't have to worry about him making achievements in the Smith Family and The Smith Group." Finn's words made Hayden's eyes flicker with surprise. She felt a lot of astonishment.

Could it be that she had always misunderstood Finn's intentions? He didn't want to find someone who would pose a threat to the Smith Family, or perhaps he didn't want to find a son-in-law to share everything that belonged to Daniel.

Hayden looked at Finn, and with a pleasing smile, she said, "Finn, I don't necessarily have to get married. Maybe I can stay at home."

"You being with Nikolai is also your aunt's wish. I don't want to owe her." Finn didn't hide anything and told Hayden the truth.
Hayden listened and found it amusing, but she didn't show any signs of surprise. She nodded and said, "I'll talk to Nikolai, as Finn suggested."

Finn, satisfied with Hayden's obedience, nodded approvingly. "As long as you have power and money, men will obey your commands. I believe you can control Nikolai."

This is what Finn had in mind.

He seemed to be getting more and more abnormal.

Hayden obediently nodded and said, "Yes, Finn has a long-term vision."

......

In the blink of an eye, Christmas arrived.

Daniel's leg was encased in a heavy cast, and he was brought back home.

After breaking his leg, his temper had become even more irritable, while Jocelyn became more well-behaved and clever, feigning an innocent expression.

Finally, Finn scolded Daniel and told him not to bully Jocelyn anymore.

Hayden took Jocelyn to visit the Petrova family.

When they returned home after two days with the Petrova family, Hayden looked up and immediately spotted the Johnson family sitting on the living room sofa.

Pierre, Sienna, Nikolai, Ophelia Johnson, and Pierre's younger brother were all present.

However, Donovan's sweetheart was nowhere to be seen.

In order to deal with the Johnson family, Hayden had thoroughly investigated every member.

Today, the Johnson family had come to congratulate Finn.

Upon seeing them, Jocelyn couldn't help but roll her eyes.

Hayden immediately nudged her with her elbow.

Jocelyn understood and quickly regained her demure and obedient appearance.

"Hayden and Jocelyn are back. Come over here," Sophia said as she stood up, approaching them with a smile.

"Finn, Auntie," Hayden greeted with a light smile.

"Finn, Auntie," Jocelyn echoed Hayden.

"You arrived just in time. Nikolai and the others are here. We'll be able to have dinner soon," Sophia said, pulling them along with a cheerful smile.

Nikolai sat on the sofa, looking up at Hayden. He almost drooled.

By his side sat his uncle Donovan, 38 years old, who was still attracted to Hayden despite being much older than Nikolai.

As Hayden and Sophia approached, she did not look at Nikolai and Donovan, but their gaze made her feel particularly disgusted and repulsed. However, she didn't show it on her face. She walked past them and greeted Mr. Johnson and Mrs. Johnson politely.

"Hello!" Hayden greeted proactively, which was the first time. Pierre and Sienna nodded immediately, with Pierre even praising, "Hayden and Jocelyn, becoming more beautiful, and your demeanor is the best among the noble ladies of Imperial Capital. You truly live up to being a Miss of the Smith Family."

Hayden smiled slightly. "Mr. Johnson is too kind. It's all thanks to the care from the Johnson family."

"Finn, look at Hayden. She is becoming more considerate and thoughtful. We won't have to worry when she gets married," Sophia said, glancing at Nikolai.

Finn smiled and nodded but remained silent.

"Hayden." Finally, Nikolai snapped back to reality and grinned at her.

Hayden smiled back and turned her head to greet Nikolai politely, "It's been months, Nikolai. Is your body fully recovered now?"

"Yes, I'm fully recovered, fully recovered!" Nikolai immediately nodded vigorously like a pecking chicken.

"That's good!" Hayden gently smiled. "I still feel apologetic about the incident where Southern accidentally injured you. Now that I see you've fully recovered, I don't have to blame myself so much."

"Yes, you don't have to blame yourself," Nikolai immediately nodded again with a smile. He patted his chest and said, "My body is even better than before."

"Yes, I can see that," Hayden smiled and then said to Finn and Sophia, "Finn, Auntie, Jocelyn, and I will go upstairs to change our clothes."

"Sure, go ahead!" Sophia smiled and lovingly agreed.

Hayden nodded and took Jocelyn upstairs.

"Sis, the way Nikolai stared at you was disgusting. Why did you say those things to him?" Jocelyn snarled once they were upstairs and in the room.

"Acting requires attention to detail. You don't understand," Hayden released Jocelyn's hand and walked to the wardrobe, taking out a loose set of clothes. As she changed, she continued to speak to Jocelyn, "Perhaps I really need to marry Nikolai. He is your brother-in-law."

"You must be joking. Nikolai is like a pig," Jocelyn exclaimed in surprise.

Hayden glanced at her and couldn't help but smile. "Don't get worked up."

"Is marrying Nikolai part of the act, too?" Jocelyn asked.

Hayden changed her top and then walked up to Jocelyn, raising her hand to brush her long hair behind her ear. She reiterated. "Jocelyn, we have no choice now. It would help if you remembered my words. To achieve our goal, we must be ruthless."

"But marrying Nikolai, isn't that too ruthless?" Jocelyn pouted, feeling sad for Hayden.

Hayden laughed and shook her head, "If I marry, I can also get a divorce."

"You mean you'll divorce Nikolai once you have control over the company?" Jocelyn asked.

"Yes, that's what I mean," Hayden nodded.

She also wanted to take back everything The Johnson family had taken from the Smith Family.

"But how many years will that take?" Jocelyn pouted.

Hayden smiled, "You just need to cooperate with me and act in front of everyone. Do you understand?"

"Yes, I'll do everything you say," Jocelyn replied.

"Hurry up and change your clothes. Let's go downstairs."

"Okay."

One month later, Hayden started working at The Smith Group with Finn. She was assigned to the Business Department and became an employee there.

Because of Hayden's low profile, protected by Mia, no one in the Business Department, except the minister, knew that she was Miss Smith from The Smith Group.

Finn handed Hayden over to Minister Maddox in the morning, instructing him to give Hayden some experience.

As his daughter, since she had joined the company, Finn didn't want Hayden to become a joke. He wanted her to become his pride.

"Should I show you around the department first so that everyone can get familiar with you?" After coming out of Finn's office and entering the elevator, Minister Maddox looked at Hayden and asked for her opinion.
