Chapter 573 Keep Being Happy and Joyful Forever
Winter has arrived in the blink of an eye, and Hallstatt Town has started to snow, presenting a completely different yet beautiful scene.
That day, just after a heavy snowfall, Hayden finished a video conference and couldn't wait to go out to the balcony to enjoy the snow-covered scenery outside. However, shortly after stepping outside, the housekeeper brought her coat and phone, helped her put on the coat, and handed the phone to her.
At first glance, it was a call from Teresa.
Over the past two to three months, Teresa often called her, usually every two to three days at most.
Now, she and William really have nothing to do with each other at all, but she and Teresa, on the other hand, have a very close relationship. They seem like true sisters.
Actually, every time she thinks about how she befriended Teresa just to get close to William, she can't help but feel a little guilty.
In this world, there are some people who are not worth befriending for a lifetime, but there are others who, once befriended, will always accompany each other, just like her and Teresa.
Every time Hayden chats with Teresa, she feels relaxed because Teresa genuinely cares for her without any ulterior motives.
They were chatting when Teresa suddenly changed the subject, mentioning that she hadn't seen her for a long time and wanted to video chat with her. Hayden was afraid that Teresa might figure out where she was based on the outdoor scenery, so she waited until she was inside the house before video chatting with Teresa.
"Hayden, I told my parents about you being pregnant with William's child. They apologized on behalf of William and expressed their desire to visit you. They want to see you. Can you accept that?" On the video call, Teresa looked at Hayden, who only had the camera facing her own face, with a sincere apology evident in her furrowed brow.
Hayden looked at her and smiled brightly, "Why did Patrick and Grace apologize to me? They are elders, saying that, I really can't bear it."
"But they ended up with a troublemaker son like William, and now you're the one bearing all the pain of carrying a baby. William really needs a lesson, I wish my dad could just give him a good beating like he used to when we were kids," Teresa gritted her teeth, expressing her frustration.
Hayden listened and laughed, "William, you still remember when your dad scolded you? I didn't realize that!"
"No way!" Thinking about being able to gossip about William with Hayden to cheer her up, Teresa immediately became interested and enthusiastically said, "William was so naughty when he was young, causing a lot of trouble. I heard that once, he secretly went to the beach to play alone, almost being swept away by the waves, barely clinging to life. Luckily, a kind couple found him in time and rescued him. When he got home that time, my dad gave William a good beating."
"Really? How old was he then?" Hayden asked with a smile, naturally following up.
Perhaps, she had truly let go of the past in her heart, letting go of William, so she could now chat with Teresa about William so naturally and happily.
Teresa furrowed her delicate brows and thought, "I was nine years old, I think. Anyway, I had already started to remember things by then. When my dad was beating up William, I was crying on the side, begging my dad to stop."
"Really, haha," Hayden chuckled heartily. "Since I met William, I've always felt like he must have been the 'golden child' in his parents' eyes since childhood. Not only is he a top student, but he's also obedient, sensible, and talented in many ways. Whatever he does, he can do it perfectly, scoring 100 points every time."
Teresa pursed her lips, shook her head, and said, "No way, he only started getting smarter when he entered junior high later. It was like he suddenly transformed into a different person, truly becoming the kind of child that all parents see as someone else's."
Hayden nodded with a smile, "In middle school, around twelve or thirteen years old, it seems like William changed quickly."
"Yes, after becoming smarter, William became more and more outstanding. He never failed at anything he did."
"So that's how it was," Hayden chuckled.
"By the way, Hayden, can you tell me where you are right now?" Seeing that Hayden seemed to be in a good mood, Teresa quickly asked.
However, Hayden wouldn't reveal her address. She looked at Teresa with a smile and said, "It's a secret. I want to stay quiet with my child, and I don't want any of you to disturb me."
Teresa,“.......”
Just then, the screen of Hayden's phone suddenly shook violently, and Gabriel's somewhat aloof face appeared on the screen.
"Gabe, what are you doing? Give me back my phone."
"You don't even bother to check the time, and you're still chatting!"
"Turn off the lights and go to bed."
"I still..."
Listening to the flirtatious voices coming from the phone, Hayden smiled and ended the call.
Knowing that their feelings are as strong as ever, to be honest, Hayden is truly happy for them. She hopes that they will always be as happy and joyful as they are now, living a lifetime of happiness together.
