Chapter 381
Gabriel couldn't take his eyes off Teresa, utterly enraptured. It wasn't the first time he'd seen her in that bridal gown, but each time seemed to surpass the last in its effect on him.
"Do you like it, Hayden?" Teresa called out with a smile, observing the astonished and tearful expressions around her.
"Stunning!" Hayden cradled her baby bump and gazed at Teresa with tear-filled eyes that sparkled in delight. She meticulously scanned the wedding gown embellished with countless tiny diamonds worth millions. "It's beyond beautiful. Words can't describe it—you look a hundred times lovelier than a fairy."
Her excitement was palpable, and moisture brimming in her eyes—not just from the breathtaking sight of Teresa in her gown but also from the uncertainty of whether she would ever have the chance to wear such a dress herself, to walk down the aisle hand in hand with the man she loved.
Seeing her so worked up, Teresa reached out and gently caressed Hayden's swollen belly, chuckling, "You're over six months along with twins, darling. You can't get this excited—it's not good for the babies."
Hayden offered a playful glance. "I just couldn't help it!"
Gabriel snapped out of his daze and walked over. He gazed into Teresa's dark eyes, where a passionate flame seemed to overflow. "I had no idea I was marrying the most beautiful woman in the universe," he said.
Hayden turned to see Gabriel—his gaze was one of deep, mesmerizing devotion unlike any she had seen before.
Gracefully, she released Teresa's hand, glanced at the two housekeepers holding up the dress's train, and stepped away to exit.
The housekeepers, understanding the cue, quickly followed suit.
"Are you really that sweet or just good at flattery?" Teresa teased the man before her, her eyes playful and seductive like silk, once Hayden and the housekeepers had left and closed the door behind them.
Gabriel laughed huskily and sensually as he stepped closer, his fingers deftly lifting Teresa's chin. "Why don't you taste and find out if I'm really that sweet, sweetheart..."
Before she could respond, Gabriel leaned down and claimed Teresa's red lips with his own.
Teresa no longer resisted Gabriel's intimacy.
Gazing into the handsome face filled with devotion that loomed before her, Teresa slowly closed her eyes and responded to his kiss.
In the moment of their embrace, flashbacks of their passionate times over the past six months began playing in her mind.
When they were together, it felt like a raging tide, one wave crashing after another into the lake of Teresa's heart, sending ripples of fluttering emotions that resonated endlessly.
The feeling was so divine that Teresa couldn't help but yearn for more.
Instinctively, her arms wrapped around Gabriel's neck, responding to him with even more ardor.
Feeling Teresa's initiative and passion, Gabriel's repressed desires suddenly broke free from all constraints.
Yet he still struggled to restrain himself, his kisses slowly trailed downward, tenderly spreading...
Teresa's body had become more sensitive than before, and she melted completely into Gabriel's embrace quickly.
With his strong arms, Gabriel scooped her up and carried her toward the large bed.
"Sweetheart, may I...?" Gabriel, trying desperately to control himself, huskily asked the blossoming beauty in his arms.
Looking up at the devilishly handsome man above her, Teresa was replaying every moment they had shared in her mind.
Without hesitation, she nodded and let out an affirming hum, "Come..."
Before she could finish, Gabriel, impatient, dipped his head and captured her shimmering lips once again...
...
After recovering, Teresa was like a ravenous wolf that couldn't be sated, repeatedly initiating.
In the beginning, Gabriel, fearful of hurting her, was exceedingly careful.
With each moment of blossoming passion, Teresa's mind was flooded with images of her and Gabriel together.
Those images, too beautiful to believe, seemed unreal.
Yet Gabriel's kindness, his gentle consideration, convinced Teresa that it was all real.
Gabriel truly loved her, and she loved him deeply, irrevocably.
When the last round concluded, over four hours later, Gabriel lay beside Teresa, feeling utterly spent and drained for the first time.
Teresa was nestled in his arms, even more exhausted, feeling as if every part of her was no longer her own, barely clinging to her last breath.
"Sweetheart, are you still up for it?" Gabriel asked with a chuckle after catching his breath and gazing at the sweat-drenched beauty in his arms.
"Can you even manage?" Teresa teased with a smile, her glowing radiance almost blinding.
Gabriel laughed and moved over her again, sealing her lips with his.
"Darling, I just remembered," Teresa said, looking at Gabriel after another passionate kiss.
—Darling!
The word shocked Gabriel, his eyes widening as he gazed at the woman by his side, his expression overflowing with surprise and joy.
"Sweetheart, what did you call me? Say it again?" After a few seconds of stunned silence, Gabriel regained his composure and asked in disbelief.
Teresa lifted her hands, gently cradling his chiseled face, and looked into his eyes—sparkling and merry as if filled with the sweet bliss of stars. She leaned in and kissed Gabriel softly, whispering, "Honey, I remember now. I remember so many things that happened between us."
—She remembers!
Suddenly, a shadow crossed Gabriel's dark eyes; his heart clenched tight.
Could Teresa also have remembered the kidnapping?
"Sweetheart, do you remember just the two of us, or is there something else?" A flicker of anxiety passed, and Gabriel pressed her for more.
"And the baby."
"Nothing else?" Gabriel asked nervously.
Teresa looked at him and shook her head. "Right, when we got our marriage license, where did you put the vow you wrote me? I can't remember".
—The vow?!
Teresa remembered the vows Gabriel had written at the courthouse, but she had no recollection of their destruction, thanks to Madison's interference.
In other words, Teresa's memories were filled with only happy moments. Hurtful, unpleasant events seemed to have escaped her mind.
Fantastic!
Absolutely fantastic!
Realizing this, Gabriel felt an exuberant joy akin to a child's and lowered his head to kiss Teresa once more with a wide grin. "Babe, I'm starving. Let's eat, then I'll find that vow for you, okay?"
After a battle lasting over four hours, Teresa was famished too. Since Gabriel had suggested it, she nodded in agreement without objection.
Overjoyed, Gabriel laughed heartily, swung out of bed, and scooped Teresa into his arms, heading toward the bathroom...
