Chapter 330 Comfort and Confidences: A Heart-to-Heart Between Sisters

Chapter 330 Comfort and Confidences: A Heart-to-Heart Between Sisters
People often say that Gabriel spoiled his sweetheart to an extreme degree and cherished his wife above all else. Witnessing it firsthand, the rumors seemed undeniably true.
If he had a gorgeous and captivating sweetheart like Teresa, he'd treasure her just as much.
"Honey, I'm fine now. Let me down." Feeling the manager's unease, Teresa gently released her hold on Gabriel's neck and tried to step away.
But Gabriel, instead of letting go, held her even tighter. "My Sweetheart—I'll hold her if I want to. Why should we care about other people's feelings?"
Teresa just looked at him, speechless.
"Exactly, exactly—no need to mind us," The manager quickly spoke up, nodding enthusiastically with his head bowed even lower.
Shortly after, the elevator made a soft sound as it reached the highest floor. Gabriel then took Teresa out and went directly to Hayden's fancy suite.
Outside the suite, the bodyguards stood to watch, familiar with Gabriel and Teresa, of course.
Spotting Gabriel carrying Teresa toward them, one offered an apologetic frown, saying, "Sorry, Gabriel, Teresa. Hayden's not looking for company right now."
"See what I mean!" Gabriel growled, glancing down at the petite woman in his arms. "Let's go."
"Honey, wait up!" Teresa said, her arms draped around his neck. "We're already here. Can't you at least let me give it a shot, pretty please?"
Gabriel felt his heart soften when he saw Teresa pouting at him. Giving a serious glance to the bodyguard, he ordered, "Well, what are you waiting for? Tell Hayden to open the door."
The guard, used to intense situations from years with Hayden, still trembled under Gabriel's cold stare. He quickly nodded and opened the door to convey the message.
Soon, the bodyguard returned, addressing them formally, "Teresa, Hayden will see you now. However, I am sorry, Gabriel, you're not allowed in.
"Why the hell can't I go in? If she can't go, we both walk!" Gabriel was furious, and the atmosphere around him became even colder.
Teresa was still recovering; how could he leave her side?
"This is..."
"Honey!" Teresa interrupted with that sweetly cloying voice of hers. "I'm not going in there to fight Hayden. I'll have a quick chat. You can wait here or join the others downstairs, okay?"
Gabriel's cold attitude softened as she talked. After a short pause, he reluctantly agreed with a nod, "All right, I'll wait here. Just don't take too long."
"Thank you, babe!" Teresa smiled brightly and, feeling emboldened by their time together, kissed Gabriel on the cheek in front of everyone.
At last, Gabriel smiled and carefully put her down. Teresa quickly headed inside the suite.
"Hayden!" Upon entering the suite, she called out, her expression turning worried as she didn't see Hayden right away.
"Sweetheart."
The sound of retching interrupted her from the bathroom's direction. Anxiety gripping her, Teresa raced over.
Indeed, Hayden was hunched over the sink, violently ill.
"Hayden," Teresa said as she reached her, compassionately rubbing her back. "You're nearly six months along. Why are you still getting sick like this?"
Halfway through a bout of sickness, Hayden lifted her head slightly and caught Teresa's reflection in the mirror. She was about to speak when another heave forced the last of her stomach's contents out.
After relieving herself, she felt much better. Without hesitation, Teresa got her a glass of warm water.
Hayden accepted the glass, rinsed her mouth, and Teresa gave her some napkins to wipe her lips.
"How are you feeling? Need to see a doctor?" Teresa asked, worried by Hayden's pale face.
Having wiped the corner of her mouth and thrown the napkins into the nearby trash can, Hayden playfully glanced at Teresa and chuckled. "Are you more concerned about me or the twins?"
Teresa reached out to support her arm. "I'm worried about all of you. Maybe we should head to the hospital?"
"No need, I'm not that delicate," Hayden reassured her, taking Teresa's hand as they walked out together. "I've been having regular check-ups abroad. The babies are doing just fine. Don't worry."
"Hayden, I'm so sorry!" Teresa said, her apologies deep and sincere.
Despite Hayden's expression remaining as casual as it was when they first met, the only noticeable change was her expanding belly, with no other signs of distress.
But Teresa could see that the laughter never quite reached Hayden's eyes.
"What are you apologizing for, you silly girl?" Hayden teased, leading them to the living room, where Teresa quickly helped her to the couch before sitting down herself.
"Hayden, can you tell me what exactly is going on between you and my brother."
"Oh, yeah! I heard you got stabbed after I left for my trip. It was serious. How are you healing?" Interrupting Teresa, Hayden swiftly changed the subject, preferring not to talk about William.
"Do I look like someone who was seriously injured?" Teresa shot back wryly, then earnestly added, "Look, if something is bothering you, just let it out, okay?"
Hayden laughed, then suddenly turned her head to look out the window. "Bothering me? Not at all. I felt much better after throwing up just now."
Her morning sickness was mainly during the first trimester, and after four months, it had almost completely subsided.
She felt the need to vomit when she returned to her room today, possibly a physical response to something William and Michelle had said or done.
It wasn't just her; it had upset the twins, hence the violent reaction.
"Are you hungry? I can have someone bring up some food," Teresa offered with a concerned expression.
Hayden had been so nauseous that she likely vomited everything from her stomach.
Expecting twins meant Hayden already had to eat smaller, more frequent meals.
"I can't eat a thing right now," Hayden shook her head, then quickly changed the subject. "Isn't your boss out there? I thought I heard him. If he's kept waiting, he's probably going to lose it. Maybe you should go down to him first, and we can catch up later."
"Hayden, are you trying to get rid of me?" Teresa frowned. "I won't go back to my brother's engagement party, even if I'm not staying with you."
Looking at her, Hayden smiled, "Why not?"
"Because I'd rather be here with you and my little niece and nephew," Teresa said, gently resting her hand on Hayden's round belly.
Hayden cast a sidelong severe glance at her, "They're my kids and have nothing to do with the Bennetts."
"Hayden, my brother may be a jerk, but my parents and I..."
"Stop right there!" Hayden cut her off, knowing what Teresa was about to say. "I've said it before; these kids are mine, with no connection to the Bennetts."
Teresa's eyes lit up with an idea, "But they must be related to me somehow, right?"
