Chapter 511 William and Hayden

After receiving the treatment, Hayden was discharged from the hospital and returned to the hotel that evening.

During the next two days in River North, Hayden was extra cautious. Whenever she could sit instead of standing, she would, and whenever she could lie down instead of sitting, she would.

Fortunately, the little one inside her belly behaved well and didn't throw any more tantrums. The negotiation ended successfully and she returned to Imperial Capital unscathed.

Back in Imperial Capital, she continued to go to work and come home every day, minimizing her time spent with Sophia as much as possible.

Hayden worried that if she spent too much time with the shrewd Sophia, she would notice something unusual and figure out that she was pregnant.

On weekends, she also tried her best not to stay at home. Even when she did, she would stay in her own room and study or work.

Finn noticed her efforts and was satisfied with her performance at the company.

After working in the business department for another month, one evening, Hayden came home from work and was called into Finn's study.

"Raymond."

In the past two months, not only did Hayden perform exceptionally well at work, but she also became more obedient and respectful. When interacting with Finn, she would often speak with an admiring tone, like that of a well-behaved daughter.

"Hmm, working overtime again?" Sitting behind the desk, Finn looked at Hayden as she entered the study. Compared to before, his expression seemed much more affectionate. He gestured toward the couch and said, "Have a seat."

Hayden sat down on the couch and nodded. "Yes, I am preparing some materials for tomorrow's business negotiation."

Finn nodded approvingly and looked at her. "Now that you have learned what you needed to, have you considered switching departments?"

As Hayden looked at Finn, she smiled happily and spoke with a particularly obedient tone, "If I can receive Raymond's affirmation, then all my efforts in the past two months were not in vain."

Finn felt pleased hearing this, and he spoke like a caring father, "You are my daughter, Hayden, and of course, you can't let me down."

"Raymond, I will work even harder in the future and I will never let you down." Hayden looked at Finn with a determined tone and an extremely positive attitude.

However, he suddenly changed the topic. "But, Raymond, I feel that it will be difficult for me to enter core management of the company with my current level of knowledge and culture. Apart from a few elders who helped you start the company, the senior executives in the company who were hired by you all have master's degrees from top foreign business schools."

Looking at her, Finn instantly understood her meaning. "What's the matter, do you want to continue studying at Southern Business School? Do you really want to study or do you want to do something else?"

"Raymond, I don't necessarily have to go to Southern Business School. If you're worried, Wharton Business School is also an ideal choice for me. If I do something disappointing again this time, I will let you deal with it however you want."

"Oh, Hayden is back!" Just as Hayden finished speaking, Sophia's voice suddenly interrupted, which was quite abrupt.

Hayden turned his head and saw Sophia walking in with a cup of coffee, smiling and radiant.

He didn't hear any footsteps just now, so how did Sophia suddenly come in? Could it be that she was already standing outside?

"Sophia," Hayden called her without any change in expression.

"Oh, have you had dinner? If not, I'll have someone prepare it right away." Sophia put the coffee in front of Finn, but her face was filled with concern for Hayden.

Hayden smiled, "I had dinner with my colleagues while working overtime at the company."

"Then I'll have someone prepare some desserts for you later. You work so hard every day, you should take better care of yourself." With utmost thoughtfulness and love, Sophia smiled.

Hayden nodded, "Will do, thank you for your concern."
