Chapter 546 William and Hayden
A year later, in the foreign land of Viva City, Hayden completed her research project and made plans to dine at a newly opened restaurant with a few classmates. Despite its recent establishment, the restaurant's ambiance, cuisine, and reputation were exceptional. Securing a reservation was a feat in itself; Hayden had managed to book a table just the day before.
Upon entering the restaurant, the decor exceeded her expectations, resonating with a style she particularly favored. Each corner whispered a sense of familiarity, captivating Hayden's curiosity.
Eager to learn more, Hayden politely inquired with the restaurant's head manager about the designer behind the restaurant's aesthetic.
Smiling gently, the manager replied, "The design style of our restaurant is mandated by headquarters. As for the specific designer, I am not privy to that information."
Graciously acknowledging the response, Hayden then followed the waitstaff with her classmates to the reserved private dining area, mirroring the elegance and unique taste of the main dining space.
As she leisurely admired the surroundings of the private room, her gaze drifted towards the window. Absentmindedly looking outside, she caught sight of a sturdy, handsome gentleman departing the restaurant's entrance amidst a group of people, making his way towards a black luxury car parked not far from the entrance.
'Who is that man?' she pondered.
Observing with intrigue, Hayden found herself unexpectedly drawn to the man leaving amidst the crowd.
Just as the driver respectfully opened the car door, and the man paused to give instructions to his entourage, Hayden couldn't help but scrutinize his striking features – the sharp contours of his face, his well-defined nose, and those eyes...
'Why does he seem so familiar? It's as if I've seen him before, or known him somewhere. Where could it be? Who is he?' she wondered.
Fixated on the figure below, Hayden furrowed her brow in contemplation, but no recollection surfaced.
Suddenly, she spun around and hastened towards the door of the private room.
Her classmates, noticing her departure, swiftly caught up and questioned her intent.
Brushing off their inquiries, Hayden remarked, "I seem to have spotted an acquaintance. I'll just go say hello."
With those words, she vanished from sight, leaving her classmates momentarily puzzled.
However, by the time she sprinted downstairs and out of the restaurant, William had already boarded the car. The black luxury vehicle began to move, gradually distancing itself from her view.
"Hey, wait, wait!" Acting impulsively, driven by an inexplicable urge, Hayden found herself at a loss, chasing after the departing Cadillac, calling out desperately.
In the front seat of the black car, Jeffrey caught a glimpse of Hayden chasing them through the rearview mirror, prompting a moment of surprise. After swiftly recognizing the situation, he turned to the man seated in the back and noted, "William, it appears someone is pursuing us, seems to be Hayden."
"Really?" William, leaning back with closed eyes in the rear seat, transitioned from aloof to irate after a brief pause, somewhat displeased as he inquired, "Which Hayden?"
Noticing William's sudden shift in demeanor and his displeased tone, Jeffrey was startled, realizing the impropriety, and promptly responded, "Apologies, I must have been mistaken."
Meanwhile, as Hayden trailed a distance behind, the black luxury car accelerated, eventually speeding away, vanishing from her sight.
Resigned, Hayden came to a halt, gasping for breath, then turned back towards the restaurant.
"Madam, are you alright? Do you happen to know William?" When Hayden returned, the general manager of the branch inquired curiously.
"William?" Hayden furrowed her brows, slightly surprised.
"Yes, he is the CEO of our company, Aurora Global Networks," the manager explained.
The name William and Aurora Global Networks seemed familiar to Hayden. She shook her head, saying, "Aurora Global Networks and the name William do ring a bell, but I do not know him."
"Our Aurora Global Networks has gained considerable prominence. In the domestic market, a substantial portion of the F&B industry belongs to Aurora Global Networks. Furthermore, our company's ventures extend beyond culinary realms into various sectors. We have garnered significant attention as a rising star in the industry over recent years. Your familiarity is not uncommon," chuckled the branch manager of Aurora Global Networks.
