Chapter 613 A Disappointment

After dinner at the Hart family home, Hayden returned home. She checked on Chloe and Logan, who were sound asleep, and then hurried upstairs to shower and change clothes.

As she passed Jocelyn's half-closed door, she suddenly heard Jocelyn's voice from inside.

"William, my sister is about to marry Jasper soon. You like my sister so much, and you've liked her for so many years. You've been swallowing your pride for my sister. Aren't you angry, jealous, or resentful? Don't you plan to win my sister back?"

Jocelyn was on the phone with William.

Hayden's eyebrows furrowed deeply. She slipped off her shoes and tiptoed barefoot to Jocelyn's door to listen.

Jocelyn continued, "I've said it, if you want to be with my sister, it's simple. Just make Teresa divorce Gabriel, then we can each be with our loved ones. You can also get half of the Bush family's assets. It's a win-win situation. I don't understand why you won't agree to it?"

Inside the room, Jocelyn was lounging on the sofa, threatening William on the phone, completely unaware that Hayden was already standing outside her room. She didn't even notice that her room door wasn't closed properly.

Listening to Jocelyn's words through the door, Hayden couldn't help but tremble with anger.

She really couldn't believe it. How could her own sister, whom she had pampered and loved almost like a daughter, did such things that repeatedly shocked and disappointed her?

Jocelyn dared to use Teresa to threaten William. Was this why William chose Michelle and refused to reconcile with her, because of Jocelyn's threats?

Jocelyn advised, "William, even if you don't like my sister now, even if you don't care about her, Chloe and Logan are your own son and daughter. You wouldn't..."

"Jocelyn!" Unable to listen any longer, unable to restrain her almost collapsing and insane emotions, Hayden suddenly pushed the door open with force and roared.

Suddenly hearing Hayden's angry roar, Jocelyn, lying on the sofa holding her phone triumphantly, was startled and shuddered all over, then quickly turned her head toward the direction of the door.

When she saw Hayden, who trembled like an angry lioness, almost ready to pounce on her. Jocelyn was so scared that she trembled violently. After reacting, she immediately hung up on William and hid the phone behind her.

"Hayden, why are you back so soon?" Jocelyn stammered, jumping up from the sofa, facing Hayden's unprecedented fury and disappointment.

These days, she had been trying to behave well, hoping that Hayden would not dwell on past issues, not confine her, and especially not cut off her financial resources.

But she never imagined Hayden would come back from the Hart family so early and overhear her conversation with William.

Burning with anger and disappointment like never before, Hayden quickly approached Jocelyn, raised her hand, and slapped her face heavily, causing the sound of the slap to echo in the large suite.

The slap Hayden delivered was too heavy. Jocelyn's head immediately tilted to one side, and five finger marks appeared on her fair face.

"Jocelyn, what did you just say to William? Repeat everything in detail to me." After slapping her, Hayden glared at Jocelyn and roared.

Downstairs, the butler heard the commotion and rushed up.

"Hayden, I didn't say anything. You must have misheard!" Jocelyn lied, smiling guiltily despite the painful slap.

"You didn't say anything?" Looking at her, Hayden smiled, and then tears streamed down her face.

She was so disappointed, so heartbroken. Even when she was humiliated by William and Michelle together, she didn't feel as heartbroken as she did now.

Jocelyn was her sister whom she trusted and loved unreservedly, yet she used her like this, causing harm to her.

Jocelyn mumbled, "Hayden, I..."

"If you won't speak, fine." Hayden, seeing Jocelyn's hesitation and lack of remorse, was deeply disappointed. "You're going to Radiant Valley City. See what kind of life Daniel had there for the past six or seven years."

"What, go to Radiant Valley City!" Jocelyn was completely dumbfounded. After reacting, she immediately knelt in front of Hayden, hugged her legs, and started crying. "No, sister, I was wrong. I'll say everything, please don't send me to Radiant Valley City. I don't want to go there."

Enraged, Hayden kicked Jocelyn away and shouted, "If you don't want to go, say it now. If you miss a word, you'll stay in Radiant Valley City for the rest of your life and never come back."

"I won't go to Radiant Valley City, I'll say..." Being kicked by Hayden, Jocelyn lay on the carpet, crying and nodding.

"Then speak up!" Hayden glared at her and roared again.

Jocelyn nodded and repeated half of what she had said to threaten William.

Of course, she didn't dare to mention her plan to kill Hayden first, then commit suicide, and eventually harm Chloe and Logan.

But Hayden wasn't foolish and couldn't be easily fooled. After listening to Jocelyn's words, she couldn't help but mockingly laugh and question, "Is William really so foolish and easily manipulated by you? If you say a few words like 'unless Teresa and Gabriel divorce, he won't be with me,' he won't be with me?"

Jocelyn cried, "Hayden, I..."

"Tell me, what else did you threaten William with?" Hayden roared, her teeth nearly grinding in anger. "Did you use Chloe and Logan against him?"
