Chapter 540 William and Hayden

Hayden sat on the sofa in another suite, holding her phone tightly, lost in thought. Now, she felt that the most important thing was not whether Finn would expose the true colors of Sophia and the Johnson family but whether William could survive.

As time ticked by, more than three hours had passed since William was taken to the emergency room, yet there was still no news. Hayden knew that as long as William was still being rescued in the emergency room, it meant he was alive, and there was hope for his survival.

She thought to herself, ‘Yes, he is still alive. Everything will be fine. Nothing will happen to him.’ Hayden sank into contemplation on the sofa. Suddenly, a knock on the door interrupted her thoughts.

"Come in," Hayden snapped back to reality, adjusting her expression and responding indifferently. "Ms. Hayden, Mr. Bush Smith is asking for you in his room," Wesley opened the door and respectfully informed her.

Hayden guessed that Finn had started to take action. After a moment of consideration, she nodded and got up, taking her phone with her as she headed to Finn's room.

When she pushed the door open, Finn was already holding the unconscious Sophia. Upon seeing Hayden enter, Finn said in a deep voice, "We're going to the hospital," and then he walked past her, carrying Sophia, and headed outside.

Hayden watched as Finn carried Sophia away. She knew that Finn was going to deal with Sophia, but she felt no excitement or joy in her heart. She only felt a profound calmness. She nodded and followed them.

Because Wesley had informed everyone that Sophia was feeling unwell, the housekeeper didn't suspect anything when she saw Finn carrying Sophia downstairs to the hospital. Hayden got into the car with them.

Throughout the journey, she held her phone tightly, feeling anxious, and couldn't help but make a phone call. However, the reply she received was that William was still being rescued in the emergency room. "As long as they're still trying to save him, it means there's no immediate danger," Hayden reassured herself, feeling slightly relieved.

Roughly twenty minutes later, their vehicle pulled up to the prestigious private clinic. Finn's associates had seen to all the arrangements beforehand. With Finn gently lifting Sophia from the car, they bypassed the usual formalities and made a beeline for the prearranged VIP suite. There, a medical team was ready and waiting to perform the amniotic fluid extraction.

Once the procedure to collect amniotic fluid from Sophia was complete, the attending physician obtained a DNA sample from Finn. The hospital's advanced facilities meant they could start the DNA paternity testing immediately. As Hayden had indicated earlier, the conclusive results of the test would be ready in just three hours.

Both Finn and Hayden stayed in the hospital room, waiting for the results. When they arrived at the hospital, Hayden noticed that the security measures were extremely tight. She knew that tonight, without Finn's permission, no one, including the Johnson family, would be able to enter.

Finn was indeed a talented individual, having led the Bush Smith Group to an impressive level of success. However, he had wasted over a decade of his time on Sophia.

It was truly ironic. Both Finn and Hayden had their own thoughts as they waited in the hospital room, not speaking to each other. The room was silent, and the atmosphere was heavy.

Finn had his eyes closed, leaning back on the sofa, appearing as though he was asleep. But in reality, he was in great turmoil internally. Having worked his way up in the business world for many years, he was now a top figure in the industry, and he knew better than always to show his true emotions.

Hayden, on the other hand, kept staring at her phone, hoping to receive some news about William. However, as time passed, she still hadn't received any updates. She didn't understand why there had been no news for so long.

Three hours later, a person entered with a sealed report in hand. Hayden still hadn't received the call she had been waiting for, nor had she received any news about William.

"CEO," the person glanced at Hayden and approached Finn respectfully, handing the report to him. Finn slowly opened his eyes, his face darkening as he glanced at the person who entered, and then his gaze fell upon the sealed report that was handed to him.

He took a deep breath, reached out to take the report, slowly tore open the envelope, and took out the appraisal report. Hayden stood quietly beside Finn, her heart unusually calm.
