Chapter 506 William and Hayden (107)

William saw red as he looked at her, unable to control himself,.

He ignored everything else and tightly pressed against her, trapping her between himself and the wall. His hand was against the wall, his veins bulging.

Suddenly, something surged up in his throat, unable to come up or go down. It felt more painful than stabbing himself in the chest with a knife.

"Don't you understand, Hayden?" William finally asked, clenching his teeth tightly after several seconds of eye contact.

Hayden looked at his crimson eyes, the immense pain and desolation overflowing there, and coldly laughed, turning her head away. She said even more mercilessly, "You’re delusional, William. You really aren't good enough! I want to a man who’s better then you.”

"Say it again?" A sentence spilled from William's throat.

"You’re not good enough, William!" Suddenly, Hayden turned her head back, looking at him with cold indifference, mockery, and contempt. "So, please, don't delude yourself anymore."

William smiled at her.

After several seconds of eye contact, finally, little by little, he straightened his body and released Hayden. His voice, which had always been so gentle and pleasant, now turned exceedingly hoarse as he said, "You told me not to delude myself, Hayden, alright."

As he spoke, William smiled again, the corners of his eyebrows and mouth exuding nothing but pain and bitterness. Under Hayden's gaze, he continued, "Abort the child in your stomach, and I will never bother you again."

Hayden startled as she watched him. The color drained from her face in an instant.

Just before her face turned completely pale, she suddenly turned around, forcefully opened the door, and rushed out as if she was fleeing.

Wiliam watched her disappearing figure and closed his eyes, crushing the cigarette between his fingertips.

.......

She didn't know how she returned to the private room.

She couldn't taste the flavor of any of the dishes that followed.

Hayden's complexion looked visibly worse when she returned, and Maddox and Mr. Blair's conversation slowed noticeably.

After finishing their meal, they left the restaurant and got into the car when Hayden's phone rang.

She took it out and saw that it was Finn.

"Finn," she said.

"Did you go on a business trip to River North to see William?" Finn asked on the other end of the phone.

Hayden couldn't help but smile faintly. "Don’t you trust me, Finn?"

"I hope I'm just overthinking it." Finn sounded relieved. He sighed and said, "Hayden, your brother is still young. I'm not sure if I’ll be able to wait until he matures and has enough courage to take control of the Smith Group. That's why I hope you’ll listen to me and shoulder more responsibility."

In the end, Finn wanted to hand over the Smith Group to Daniel in the future. That was why he didn't want her to marry any capable man. It was so he wouldn’t lose control of The Smith Group.

With a slight smile on her lips, Hayden obediently and thoughtfully said, "Don't worry, Finn, I won't let you down."

Hayden was busy with Maddox until 7 p.m. After having dinner with everyone, they returned to the hotel.

The secretary had originally booked a business suite for her and Maddox, but when they checked in, Hayden turned and saw William and Finley Jeffrey walking toward them.

She took a moment to catch her breath and naturally reached out her hand to hold onto Maddox's arm.

Surprised, Maddox looked at Hayden in confusion.

Hayden smiled softly at him, tiptoed, and whispered in his ear, "Do me a favor, play along with me, and pretend to be my boyfriend."

As Maddox looked at her, he couldn't help but be astonished. But when he felt something and turned his head to see the person walking toward them, he immediately understood.

The person walking towards them was none other than William, CEO of Queen's Avenue, the new elite shopping mall in the country.

Maddox had heard William's name a long time ago, but he had never had the opportunity to meet him.

During lunch at the restaurant earlier today, the manager had brought them two extra dishes, and Hayden had asked the waiter if it was a restaurant under Queen's Avenue.

Maddox understood what was going on, so he smiled and whispered to Hayden, "Of course!"

William and Jeffrey walked to lounge area in the lobby. After giving Jeffrey a few instructions, William sat down on the couch, crossed his long legs, and looked at Hayden and Maddox. Meanwhile, Jeffrey quickly walked toward the lobby bar.

William had already investigated Maddox . He was 36 years old, an elite man Finn had hired with a high salary, and was currently the head of the business department at the Smith Group's headquarters.

"Sorry, we don't want two business suites anymore. Please change it to a presidential suite," Hayden said calmly to the hotel staff at the front desk, completely ignoring William's presence.

Since Maddox was willing to cooperate, Hayden made the decision immediately.

"Okay, Ma’am, please wait a moment. I’ll arrange it for you." The cost of a presidential suite was much higher than that of a business suite, and since there were vacant presidential suites in the hotel, the staff was naturally more than happy to accommodate them.

"I'll take a presidential suite right next to them, Miss," Jeffrey spoke up as soon as the service staff finished speaking. He placed an ID card on the transparent marble counter.

The service staff were taken aback and looked at Jeffrey.

Maddox smiled slightly and glanced casually at the ID card that Jeffrey had placed on the counter.

The ID card belonged to William, who was less than 26 years old. Despite being ten years younger than him, he was already a well-known figure in the American shopping mall industry. Maddox admired him greatly.

"Sir, Ma’am, please wait a moment. I’ll call our manager over to assist you three." The service staff went to summon the lobby manager as she saw the three people in front of her.

Soon, the lobby manager arrived to serve these distinguished guests who could afford to stay in the presidential suites.

Coincidentally, two vacant adjoining presidential suites were available, so the lobby manager immediately checked them in.

During the check-in process, Hayden mentioned that they would be staying for two days. Jeffrey also said that he would be staying for two days.

Once the check-in was completed, Jeffrey immediately took the room key and walked toward William.

William took the room key and gave Jeffrey a few more instructions. Jeffrey left the hotel while William held the room key. The suite butler immediately came to serve him.

William nodded and walked directly towards the private elevator for the presidential suites.

As Maddox watched the tall, long-legged, and handsome William approach, a meaningful glint flashed in his eyes.

In fact, he really wanted to get to know William.

However, now was clearly not a good time to get to know William, as he could clearly feel Hayden's hand pressing down on his arm.

She was nervous and uneasy.

At first, Hayden only held onto Maddox's arm, but gradually, her hands moved to grab onto his hand, and her whole body leaned against him intimately. Anyone who saw them would think they were a couple.

Feeling Hayden's need, Maddox reached out his hand and wrapped it around her waist, pulling her into his embrace.

William approached them and noticed what Maddox was doing. His initially warm eyes suddenly darkened.

"Hayden, what a coincidence!" William came to Hayden's side and looked at her and Maddox with a heavy gaze, smirking.

"What a coincidence, indeed, William." Although her heart was pounding like a drum, Hayden tried to appear calm. She smiled at William.

William raised his handsome eyebrows and glanced at Maddox, saying, "Won't you introduce us?"

"This is Maddox, my boss." Hayden smiled and introduced him generously. Then, she looked at Maddox and suddenly became particularly gentle. "Maddox, this is William."

Maddox smiled, looking at William, and politely extended his hand. "You must be William from the Queen's Avenue Group, hello!"

William also extended his hand and lightly shook Maddox's. "Hello!"

At this moment, the elevator arrived, and the suite butler immediately gestured for them to enter.

However, William was quick. He waited for Hayden and Maddox to enter first.

Hayden didn't look at him again and walked into the elevator with Maddox.

After they went in, William stepped in with long strides, and the suite butler followed.
