Chapter 487 William and Hayden (88)

On the second day, the housekeeper brought her a bowl of steaming seafood soup during breakfast. As the smell of seafood wafted into her nostrils, her stomach churned violently, and she almost couldn't hold it back, on the verge of throwing up.

Fortunately, she quickly lowered her head and held her breath, trying hard to suppress the churning in her stomach so as not to show any reaction.

"Hayden, what's wrong with you?" Sophia, sitting across from her, immediately asked with concern.

Although she also suspected that Hayden and her gang caused her son to fall off his horse, she had no evidence, so she could only keep it to herself and do everything she should on the surface.

"Yeah, I haven't been in the mood for seafood recently. Can you change it to a bowl of vegetable soup for me?" Hayden adjusted her breathing and raised her head, slightly smiling without any abnormality in her voice.

"Yes, Miss." The housekeeper nodded and immediately removed the seafood soup and replaced it with the vegetable soup.

"Miss doesn't like seafood now, so prepare less of it recently," Sophia smiled and instructed the housekeeper as well.

Finn glanced at her but didn't say anything.

Hayden met his gaze and tried to please him. "Finn, there's a small dinner party tonight. Can I go?"

Finn looked at her and handed the newspaper he had folded to the butler next to him, saying to Garcia, "I'm not tying your hands and feet, but I warn you, if you dare to have any contact with that William behind my back, I'll deal with William first, and then deal with you."

Hayden looked at him and smiled. "Finn, don't worry, I won't marry a man with nothing."

Finn nodded with satisfaction. "As long as you understand. Let's eat."

In the evening, Hayden attended a small Imperial Capital dinner party.

She rarely attended such gatherings before, but now it was different.

From now on, she has had to expand her network of contacts. Only with a broad network could she achieve her goals.

Although only twenty people attended the dinner party, they were all high-class ladies of the Imperial Capital, with powerful forces behind them.

She was determined to do something, and with the identity of the Hayden Smith Family, everything came naturally.

The twenty Imperial Capital ladies were all looking forward to her arrival, and Hayden did not disappoint. From her makeup and attire to her elegance, she exuded a sense of calmness that made all the ladies admire and envy her, all seeking to please her.

Hayden had taken two hours to deal with a group of socialites, but finally, she had the opportunity to find a quiet corner and have a one-on-one chat with Isabella.

"Hayden, I've done some inquiries, and I found out that almost every time Sophia comes back to the Johnson family, she spends about an hour in Pierre's study with the door tightly closed. No one is allowed near the study except for Pierre's butler," Isabella whispered in Hayden's ear, lowering her voice so that only the two of them could hear.

Hayden pondered for a moment and asked Isabella, "Anything else?"

"It seems that most of the time when Sophia visits the Johnson family, Pierre's sweetheart isn't at home," Isabella continued in a hushed tone.

Hayden grew more perplexed, thinking about the overheard conversation between Pierre's sweetheart and their daughter in the high-end jewelry store a few days ago.

Could Sophia and Pierre be plotting something big, keeping it a secret from Pierre's sweetheart? Or was there something else going on between them?

"I also heard that Pierre's sweetheart has never liked Sophia, but you know, Sophia belongs to Finn, so Pierre's sweetheart has never dared to do anything to her," Isabella whispered, looking at Hayden.

Hayden furrowed her brow as she looked back at Isabella, her expression complex as she nodded.

"Should I have someone test Pierre's sweetheart and ask her why she doesn't like Sophia?" Isabella asked excitedly.

She was quite intrigued by the affairs between these families.

"No!" Hayden quickly stopped her. Pierre's sweetheart wouldn't be foolish enough to do something like that; otherwise, the Johnson family and Sophia wouldn't have achieved what they had."

Isabella nodded. "Yes, the people of the Johnson family are all smart, except for Nikolai, of course."

Hayden nodded and quietly said, "Let's not have you take responsibility for this matter. If you expose yourself, it will have a negative impact on the Martinez family."

Isabella looked at her, pursing her lips, and after some thought, she nodded.

"Isabella, there's another thing I need your help with," Hayden whispered in Isabella's ear, lowering her voice to the lowest possible level so that only they could hear.

Isabella nodded, "Okay, go ahead."

"I'm pregnant."

"What? You!"

"Isabella!"

As soon as Hayden spoke, he heard Isabella exclaim, her eyes wide open like bells.

Fortunately, Hayden reacted quickly and immediately grabbed her arm, stopping her just in time.

However, Isabella's shout attracted the attention of a few nearby noblewomen.

Isabella realized this and immediately smiled at them with curiosity in their eyes, and then said to Hayden, "You don't suspect me, do you? That would be heartless of you."

Hayden glared at her, admired her quick response, and chuckled, "I was just joking. You took it seriously."

With that, he pulled her closer, and the two continued their hushed conversation, whispering, "I've already tested it, and it's confirmed that I'm pregnant. I'm experiencing some severe symptoms now, so find a way to help me get some suppressant medication."

Isabella still couldn't calm down and glanced at her, whispering, "Is the child William's?"

"Yes," Hayden nodded faintly.

"What?" Isabella frowned, worried, "Are you going to keep the child? With your current situation, how can you keep William's child?"

"Don't worry, wait a few months first. I'll figure out a way to go abroad, give birth to the child there, temporarily entrust someone to take care of it, and when the conditions are right, I'll bring the child back," Hayden calmly whispered.

This was the best plan she came up with last night.

In these few months, she would first please Sophia and Finn, wait for them to lower their guard, then find a way to go abroad, give birth to the child, temporarily entrust someone to take care of it and bring the child back when conditions allow.

"You're thinking too simplistically. What if you can't go abroad?" Isabella asked anxiously, furrowing her brows.

"There will be a way," Hayden said, holding Isabella's hand. If there's no way, I'll run away and give birth to the child first."

"Do you really have to give birth?" Isabella looked at her, confirming.

Without hesitation, Hayden nodded. "Yes, I want to give birth."

"Then why are you drinking so much wine tonight?" Isabella glanced at the goblet in Hayden's hand, her eyebrows furrowing even tighter.

Hayden smiled. "This is just a beverage. Do you believe me?"

Looking at Hayden, who was so committed and had no room for negotiation, Isabella could only nod. "Okay, I'll help you."

"What are you two talking about over here? Come on, hurry up and cut the cake together," said a wealthy woman familiar with Hayden and Isabella, walking over with a cheerful smile to pull them both over.

Hayden smiled and gracefully stood up, joining everyone to cut the cake.

.......

Isabella certainly kept her word. The next day, she made plans with Hayden to go dress shopping and then handed her two boxes of morning sickness suppressant pills.

Hayden took two pills and immediately felt relief in her stomach. The feeling of nausea that couldn't be expelled was gone.

With these pills to suppress her early pregnancy symptoms, as long as she didn't show any signs of pregnancy at home, no one would discover her condition.

In the following months, she would make a plan to please Sophia and Finn. By then, she would surely find a suitable opportunity to leave the country and have the child.

With that, Hayden felt much more at ease.
