Chapter 436 William and Hayden (37)

However, the blankness lasted only a few seconds; as William eagerly tried to deepen the kiss, Hayden snapped back to reality and started to resist strongly, clamoring, "Don... William, mmm... let me go..."

Feeling the struggle in his arms intensify, William had no choice but to release her.

Slap!

A loud slap echoed in his ear the very second he let go of Hayden.

In truth, he could have prevented her from doing it, but William chose to take it.

Being hit or cursed by the woman he liked, even kneeling, was something he thought he had to endure.

The slap was purely out of anger.

After the forceful slap, with a loud and crisp sound, Hayden herself was a bit dizzy.

Although she had a temper, hitting a man was something she had never done before.

She had figured that William could stop her, just like the other times, but he didn't!

Seeing the stunned woman before him, William suddenly curved his lips into a delighted smile. One side of his handsome face now bore the red imprint of five fingers.

"Have you Cooled down yet?" he asked, looking down at her with deep, scorching, and lucid eyes that seemed to sparkle like the stars. His rich and husky voice intoxicated her heart like a love potion.

Facing him, Hayden regained her senses and immediately put on a cold face, pushing and resisting, "William, let me go."

"Just now, I was deliberately being intimate with Catherine. You fell for it, didn't you?" Seeing her stubbornness, William decided to come clean, hoping it would soothe her.

"William!" Unexpectedly, this made Hayden even more enraged as she growled his name.

"Mhm, I'm here," William replied, not letting go of her, his pleased and satisfied expression making him look like a rascal.

"William, don't get too conceited—" she started, but before she could finish her sentence, William's head descended once more, seizing her glistening lips. His large hand simultaneously cradled the back of her head, leaving her no chance to struggle free.
"Mmm... Mm..." Hayden's eyes were wide open as she desperately struggled against William. As he persisted, her resistance became weaker, and her voice grew fainter until, at last, she stopped altogether.

Feeling the woman in his arms grow still, William's lips curved into a more affectionate and focused expression.

The man was incredibly skilled, and before she knew it, Hayden had closed her eyes, not only ceasing to resist but slowly beginning to reciprocate his advances.

Sometime later, the two were entwined tightly together, inseparable.

They were locked in this embrace for what felt like an eternity until Hayden's breathing became utterly erratic, and she couldn't seem to catch her breath, completely collapsing into William's arms. Only then did he, with some reluctance, let her go.

"How about another slap? That way, you might calm down completely," William suggested, his fiery eyes and raspy voice enough to make her heart skip a beat.

Hayden was panting heavily, and once she caught her breath, she looked up to see William's bright, shiny black eyes. In them, she could see two tiny reflections of herself.

"William, were you serious about what you said yesterday?" she asked, her voice unsteady with emotion after she had held onto the question since the previous afternoon.

William looked at her and nodded very seriously, raising a hand as if to swear, "If there was any falsehood in what I told you yesterday, may I live out my days in loneliness, never to be loved by a woman again, never to be with someone."

"No, let me make that vow for you." Hayden grabbed the hand he had lifted and pulled it down, raising his eyebrows and asking, "Do you dare?"

"I dare," William said without hesitation. "As long as you don't leave me, I will belong only to you for the rest of my life."

Hayden's heart trembled with excitement, but she was firm and serious as she responded, "William, in this lifetime, you can only love me; aside from your family, you're only supposed to treat me well and be with me. If you dare be kind to another woman, if you dare betray me or leave me, you won't be able to call yourself a man for the rest of your life, childless and suffering in misery."

"Is there more?" William asked, his lips curling up. His deep eyes were like a radiant galaxy, burning brightly.

"For now, that's it. If I think of more, we'll add them later," Hayden said, lifting her eyebrows.

"Okay, I agree, I agree to everything..." William didn't finish his sentence before leaning down again and capturing Hayden's soft, red lips in a fervent kiss.

Hayden closed her eyes, meeting his kiss with deep emotion.
Bang, bang, bang, bang!

Lost in their embrace, neither Hayden nor William knew how much time had passed when suddenly, from the direction of the door, the sound of a turning lock and pounding interrupted them. Hayden started, feeling like thunder had exploded above his head, and he immediately leaned back, finally causing the entwined pair to separate.

"Someone's coming. What do we do?" Hayden asked, looking up at the man before her, his voice hinting at panic.

For some reason, Hayden felt incredibly embarrassed and awkward at that moment.

William looked down at the flustered and alluring woman before him, a smirk tugging at his lips. "Global Trust Bank doesn't have a policy against employees dating, so there's no problem if we get caught," he joked, his humor mixed with seriousness.

"But this is the men's restroom. If someone sees me with you... us..." Hayden stammered, suddenly at a loss for words.

Even Hayden could feel fear and embarrassment, which gave William a surge of delight. He wasn't in the mood for jokes anymore and pointed to one of the stalls behind him. "Why don't you hide in there for a bit while I go answer the door?"

Seeing his smug and triumphant expression, Hayden glared at him before quickly striding into the stall and gently closing the door behind her.

Once she had shut the door, William glanced at himself in the mirror, straightened his clothes, and removed the lipstick that belonged to Hayden from his mouth before he went to open it.

Pulling it open, a male colleague burst in, starting to take care of business while turning to ask William why the door was locked.

William frowned slightly but smiled, scratched his forehead with a finger, and said playfully, "Well, of course, I was doing something delightful that I didn't want anyone else to see."
