Chapter 7 Teresa, Teresa Pavilion

Teresa Pavilion was named after her to celebrate her first birthday. Over the years, the restaurant has earned a distinguished reputation within the industry, it also became a symbol of the Bennett family's culinary ventures on Queen. That’s why I understand Ethan’s concern; it’s crucial that everything at Teresa Pavilion operates flawlessly.

To Teresa's surprise, upon arriving at the VIP lounge on the third floor, the first person she encountered was Gabriel.

Wasn't the Vice President of Capital Construction supposed to be here? Why was Gabriel here?

"Gabriel, the situation has been laid out as described. What do you think we should do?" It was evident that Gabriel had just arrived, and a middle-aged bald man was reporting something to him.

Gabriel was listening but didn’t immediately respond, only took a glance when he heard the door open.

"Teresa, you’ve finally arrived!" The restaurant manager hurried over as if she was a savior.

— Teresa! Teresa Pavilion!

Ah...

Gabriel's attention was drawn to Teresa immediately, then started to smile.

"Please accept my apologies, everyone. I'm Patrick's daughter, Teresa. I deeply regret the inconvenience caused by our mistake. Given that both my father and brother are currently in River North, I will be addressing the issue on their behalf. I’ve been briefed on the situation, and if it’s agreeable to everyone, I will rearrange your booking to make it up to you. Would that be ok?" Regardless of Gabriel's presence, Teresa bowed respectfully to the group sincerely.

"Teresa, this isn’t just any casual dinner for us tonight. We’ve brought clients, and you've had us and them waiting for over half an hour. How do you propose to compensate?" The bald middle-aged man was clearly not prepared to let the issue rest.

"What would you wish us to do?" Teresa inquired with a smile, maintaining a respectful demeanor.

Gabriel stood aside, one hand casually in his pocket, observing Teresa with a relaxed gaze, remaining silent.
The middle-aged man saw that Gabriel didn’t want to say anything, he took over and said "Since Teresa is showing such sincerity, perhaps she should stay to please my clients. If they leave satisfied, we can consider the matter resolved."

Teresa looked at the two mustachioed men on the sofa, who seemed to be from an island nation, she agreed without hesitation, "Very well, I shall do my utmost."

No one anticipated Teresa's fluency in the language of the island nation, she actually had very nice conversations with those two men. This was definitely unexpected.

However, the two men seemed to intent on getting Teresa drunk.

Gabriel, seated at a distance in his chair comfortably as if nothing wrong was happening. After all, making those two men happy is more important, for this does no bad to his cooperation with the Capital Construction.

The kind of drunk Teresa is undeniably attractive. Under the light, her eyes were looking even shinier than usual, her cheeks turned pink as well. This somehow reminded Gabriel of the Teresa he saw that night.

Suddenly, Gabriel's attention was drawn to one of the mustachioed men as he laid a hand on Teresa's knee, and began to slide it up in her skirt.

Gabriel suddenly looked serious, and put out his cigarette in the ashtray. The atmosphere became tense.
