Chapter 558 William and Hayden

"Hayden, William has left the hospital and returned to The Bennett Group."

Hayden arrived at the hotel. After a short rest, Justin appeared at the door and respectfully informed her.

"He has returned to The Bennett Group."

Hayden furrowed her brow slightly and immediately stated, "Give me the car keys."

"Of course." Justin nodded and promptly handed over the car keys left by the driver to Hayden.

Taking the car keys, Hayden also retrieved her phone. She left the hotel alone and drove straight to The Bennett Group.

Regardless, she was determined to see William today.

She hadn't recalled all the details between them. She wasn't sure if she still deeply loved William. However, now that she understood those misunderstandings, she needed to explain to William.

At least, he wouldn't have to hate her anymore. When he saw her again, he might not look at her with such disgust.

From the hotel, Hayden drove swiftly towards The Bennett Group's office building.

When she arrived at The Bennett Group and parked her car, William's vehicle pulled up and came to a stop in front of the main entrance.

Seeing William stepping out of his car, Hayden immediately walked over.

As William got out of the car and caught sight of Hayden approaching him, his initially gentle expression almost instantly turned cold.

After a brief glance at her, he averted his gaze, as if he hadn't seen Hayden at all. He strode purposefully towards the office building.

"William, we need to talk." Watching him, Hayden walked briskly up to him, blocking his path.

Forced to stop by her, William had to pause and look at Hayden once more. However, his face was now covered with a layer of frost, and his deep voice carried obvious impatience as he said, "Ms. Hayden, given your esteemed status, it's best you avoid any improper actions."

With that, he resumed his stride, passing by Hayden and continuing into the office building.

"William." However, the next moment, William's arm was grasped once again.

Reluctantly, he halted once more.

"William, why did you lie to me when you clearly haven't died?" Holding William's arm, Hayden slowly turned around. With a forced smile on her face and suppressing the bitter surge in her heart, she questioned him.

She had intended to explain things to him, but the words of accusation slipped out involuntarily.

"So, Ms. Hayden wishes for my death?" William glanced at Hayden, faintly smiling as if mocking her. Just as Hayden was about to respond, he continued, "Even though I haven't died, you can treat it as if I have."

With that, he forcefully shook off Hayden's hand and walked away without a trace of nostalgia, resolutely striding towards the office building.

Hayden watched him, wanting to catch up, but found her feet suddenly heavy as if weighed down by a million pounds.

Yet she had come to River North to clear things up with William, hadn't she?

Would she back down just upon hearing his sarcasm?

The next moment, Hayden made a concerted effort to lift her legs and caught up with him.

However, just as she reached the doorway, a security guard stopped her in her tracks.

Looking at her, the guard stated flatly, "I'm sorry, madam. Our CEO has just instructed that The Bennett Group does not welcome you."

Frowning slightly at the guard blocking her path, Hayden halted her steps.

Did she really want to get into a quarrel with the guard at The Bennett Group's doorstep like a shrew?

Such actions were truly beneath her dignity.

Gabriel.

Yes, Gabriel.

Suddenly, she recalled the promise Gabriel had made over three years ago when he called to call off their engagement.

River North belonged to the Garcia family. If she asked Gabriel to help set up a meeting with William, he wouldn't refuse such a small request.

It seemed she could seek out Gabriel and have him honor his promise from three years ago.

With this thought in mind, Hayden didn't linger any longer and turned on her heels to leave.

As she turned to depart, already at the elevator lobby, William couldn't help but look in the direction of the main entrance.

Seeing Hayden walking away, a surge of anger erupted within him.
