Chapter 103 Waiting
The virgin forest is a mountain range ten kilometers outside of New York, with a good preservation of its original appearance and plenty of wild natural resources.
However, due to the steep terrain and complex environment, there are very few tourists who come here to visit.
The reason why William chose this place to film the new season of "Wilderness Life" is to connect the mystery of exploration with the celebrities' outdoor life.
For this filming, William brought dozens of people, including seven participating celebrities and others behind the scenes, such as directors, production assistants, doctors, etc. It could be considered a grand scene and a large production.
A total of eight vans slowly parked at the foot of the southern side of the virgin forest.
William got out of the car, closely followed by Sharon.
"Susan, let them start arranging according to the plan!" William instructed.
Before coming here, the company had already sent someone to survey the terrain and develop a corresponding shooting plan, so William didn't need to busy himself for this. As a producer, his work was actually quite easy.
"Alright," Susan responded and instructed everyone to start their tasks.
Meanwhile, William walked toward the last van where Sophia, supported by Kylie, had slowly descended from the vehicle.
"William, is this the new filming location you chose for the next season?" After touching the ground, Sophia looked around and took in the beautiful scenery of green mountains and clear skies. She couldn't help but take a deep breath, feeling refreshed.
"This place is much better than staying in a villa!" Sophia really liked it here.
"The virgin forest has abundant wildlife resources. Spending just one day here will give you more knowledge than reading nature books for a whole year," William said with a smile.
"Alright, lead the way!" Kylie said with a face of impatience. She disliked William even more after being tricked by him.
"Yeah, follow me! But be careful, the terrain is steep here." William led the way while reminding them.
Sophia and Kylie followed behind William, but Sophia was not accustomed to walking on such mountain paths and slipped, falling forward.
"Ah!" Sophia cried out, and William, upon hearing it, instinctively turned his head to see a graceful figure pouncing toward him.
Without thinking, William reached out and caught her, preventing Sophia from falling on the mountain path. However, their posture at this moment seemed quite ambiguous.
"What are you doing? Do you still want to take advantage of Sophia? How can you even touch Sophia?" Kylie was shocked. She quickly stepped forward and forcefully pulled Sophia away from William's embrace.
"She slipped on her own, and I just helped her." William tried to explain but was scolded by Kylie again.
"You better not have any ill intentions, or I won't spare you," Kylie said, angrily pulling Sophia and continuing forward. However, Sophia turned her head and softly said, "Thank you," to William.
William sighed. Helping his fiancée and still getting scolded by others? Life is so tough!
When the fairy-like Sophia appeared at the crew's camp, the entire team became excited. Though they had already heard some news from Susan, they couldn't believe it. After all, Sophia had only been known for singing and had never participated in other programs or film shoots.
Now, she was truly joining "Wilderness Life," and it made them all ecstatic.
Some people even went to Sophia to ask for autographs and take photos with her.
"Didn't I tell you earlier? Mr. Brown has already signed Sophia, but you didn't believe me!" Susan proudly lifted her chin like a swan.
"Yes, Mr. Brown is impressive!" Others from different departments couldn't help but flatter her.
William smirked when he saw this.
Soon, William's group set up camp in the south of the virgin forest and began busying themselves with their own tasks.
"I wonder if the people from CY Entertainment have arrived?" With this in mind, William sat down under a large tree and sent a message to his undercover agent, Louis.
Soon, William received a reply from Louis, informing him that the people from CY were in the north of the virgin forest. Julian was also present, and Louis had brought thirty people with him. Jack would be coming later to gather information and prepare to take action once they had a clear understanding of the situation.
"I didn't expect Jack to become Julian's lackey." William's lips curved into a slight smile. It seemed that Jack would stop at nothing to frame him.
In the evening, Jack arrived at William's production camp in the south of the virgin forest with two others to gather information. He appeared quite arrogant.
As soon as he showed up, the crew members noticed him and reported it to William.
"Jack from CY has come with some people!" Susan ran over to William, gasping for breath.
"I know, you go handle it!" William didn't expect Jack to show up so quickly.
But William was waiting for him. He immediately walked toward Jack with Sharon. When Jack saw the ethereal beauty of Sophia from a distance, he was utterly shocked.
"William actually invited Sophia here. How much money did he spend? I need to report this to Julian. It's a big piece of news!" After obtaining important information, Jack didn't immediately leave.
Instead, he greeted his former colleagues in a familiar manner, hoping to get more insider information from them. However, nobody paid him any attention. There was even a security guard who pushed them beyond the perimeter.
Angry, Jack started cursing.
"What's the matter? Today you all ignore me, but once I acquire High Culture, I'll be back. Don't try to please me then." Since Jack met Julian who came from Canada, he had become more confident in his speech. When he heard that Julian wanted to frame William, he felt that his return to High Culture was just around the corner.
William walked over with Sharon following behind him. "Jack, have you found yourself a powerful patron? You're speaking so confidently," he remarked dryly.
The encounter between the two was truly unexpected.
"William, let me tell you, my connections now are beyond your reach," Jack boasted with a smug face when he saw William.
"What connections do you have?" William asked knowingly.
"Why should I tell you? Do you think I'm foolish? But just you wait, your pleasant days won't last long," Jack replied before leaving with his two followers.
William watched Jack's receding figure with a faint smile on his lips.
After returning to the campsite north of the virgin forest, Jack immediately sought out Julian. "Julian, guess what I saw in William's crew?"
"What did you see? How many people did he bring with him?" Julian asked impatiently.
The environment in this wilderness was really lousy, with lots of mosquitoes that he couldn't stand.
"I saw the big star Sophia in William's crew. He actually managed to invite a top female celebrity over. If he successfully completes and airs the show, the ratings for the next season of 'Wilderness Life' will explode!" Jack said, filled with envy and jealousy.
"What? Sophia is also in their crew?" Julian couldn't believe it. As far as he knew, Sophia only sang and didn't participate in movies or programs. How could she join "Wilderness Life"?
"Yeah, everything I said is true. I even took some photos," Jack said, handing his phone to Julian, who eagerly took it and carefully examined the pictures, feeling ecstatic.
"I never expected Sophia to be in this wilderness. That's incredible," Julian exclaimed. Suddenly, a bold idea crossed his mind. Since they were in the middle of nowhere, he thought about forcibly violating Sophia and taking some photos of the act. Even if she wanted to seek revenge afterward, she probably wouldn't dare to speak up!
"Great job, Jack! Once I deal with William, I'll acquire High Culture and make you the general manager." Julian chuckled.
"Really? Thank you so much, Julian!" Jack felt elated. The Walsh family was truly remarkable, never even caring about the Power Group. The Canadian aristocracy was indeed extraordinary!
"Keep a close eye on them. If anything unusual happens, report to me immediately," Julian said in a joyous mood, thinking about what he would soon do with Sophia. His blood was boiling with excitement.
"Sure thing, Julian. I'll go make arrangements right away," Jack responded.
