Chapter 377 Freshman Welcome Party

Kings University was lively today, as it was the day of the freshman welcome party. Many people from outside the university came to join in the fun, although most of them had ulterior motives.

William arrived in his Ferrari, but it didn't attract much attention. It was too common to see people driving Ferraris here, and there were even those who arrived in helicopters. That's when people would start to take notice.

After getting out of the car, William actually saw a helicopter landing on top of one of the school buildings. This was truly an eye-opening experience for him.

He had already called Michelle before coming and asked where they were, so William went directly to the library to find them.

On the way, he saw many people walking toward the library with books in hand. It seemed like there were quite a few diligent students here.

Upon reaching the library, William went straight to the study room. As he glanced around, he saw Michelle, Sophia, and Arianna sitting in a corner.

Although the three beauties were sitting in a corner, they still attracted many gazes from men who frequently glanced their way. Some even mustered up the courage to approach and strike up a conversation, only to be chased away by a murderous look from Arianna.

William found it quite amusing. After all, Arianna was an expert. There was probably no one in the school who could defeat her.

William approached them. Before he could even say anything, Arianna cast a cold glance at him, but after seeing it was William, her expression immediately became respectful.

"William, you're here!" Upon hearing Arianna's words, Michelle and Sophia turned their heads and revealed expressions of joy.

"William, why did you come? Take a seat!" Michelle moved aside, creating a space for William to sit.

"I came to see how you guys are doing with your studies and also to check out your freshman welcome party," William replied, sitting next to Michelle. Instantly, the intoxicating fragrance from her body entered his nostrils.

"Don't even mention it. I don't know who chose our courses, but we have to study nine different subjects. It's even more than what we had in college!" Michelle sighed, her face full of despair. Sophia, who was next to her, drooped her chin, wearing a pitiful expression.

"I also have nine classes, including an etiquette class, but luckily it's the exact same as Michelle's. From now on, we can go to classes together, so that's a small blessing amidst our misfortune," Sophia added.

Arianna didn't mind because she was only responsible for protecting Michelle and Sophia and didn't have the pressure of studying and taking exams.

"Take it slow. There's no need to rush!" William could only console them with gentle words.

These courses were probably chosen by William's mother according to the standards of the Brown family daughter-in-law. William had no way to change them.

"I'm starting to regret coming here!" Michelle randomly flipped through a book. Now she had to start learning all over again.

"Don't be discouraged. I'll come over more often to study with you in the future," William encouraged them.

His father had mentioned beforehand that if Michelle failed the exams, he would not approve of her marrying into the Brown family. So, in order to marry Michelle, he could only encourage her.

"Really? Promise me!" Michelle and Sophia were both very happy. Although studying and learning could be dull, having someone they liked accompany them gave them motivation.

In the afternoon, the freshman welcome party took place in the school auditorium, consisting of three activities.

First, there were speeches from various representatives, including the principal, student representatives, and special guests.

Next was the dance, and the final activity was free socializing, which was the most attractive part of the freshman welcome party.

Many influential figures and big families would come here to expand their connections and increase their influence. There might be more martial artists participating this year, as Delilah being chosen as the freshman representative indicated that the school was already attaching importance to the influence of martial artists.

Furthermore, with the discovery of the mineral vein in Canada this year, martial artists were being increasingly valued.

"William, can you be my dance partner at the ball later?" Michelle blushed slightly as she extended the invitation, her eyes filled with anticipation.

"Sure!" William nodded, thinking that he could switch back to his original identity halfway through and dance with Michelle. However, Sophia seemed eager as well. She pleaded, "I also want to dance with William, Michelle. Can I borrow him for a while?"

Sophia really wanted to dance with William, but she still needed Michelle's permission since she was his girlfriend.

"No problem. We can take turns dancing with William then." Michelle readily agreed, completely fine with sharing her boyfriend with Sophia, but only when it came to dancing.

"Thank you, Michelle!" Sophia felt extremely happy. When she looked at William, a hint of shyness appeared on her face.

"I haven't agreed yet!" William was somewhat speechless that Michelle just lent her own boyfriend to Sophia like this.

"Whether you agree or not, you have to! Otherwise, there will be too many stinky men asking Sophia to dance. You have to step up for her," Michelle reasoned, making a logical argument that couldn't be refuted.

"Fine!" William didn't want to see his fiancée dancing with other men either.

Soon, the three of them arrived at the school's grand hall. When they got there, many students were already inside. There were a lot of outsiders who came for the occasion, hoping to network and socialize.

The hall was quite large, with a central stage surrounded by seats. There were probably more than two thousand seats, which was relatively a lot.

William and his companions found a spot in a corner and sat down, hoping not to attract too much attention.

As time passed, more and more students arrived. People of all ages came, and William and his group were surrounded by others, who began whispering amongst themselves.

"Marvin is one of the speakers representing the freshmen this time. I'm really looking forward to it!" said a girl, clearly infatuated.

"He's handsome. I'm sure countless girls are chasing after him!"

"I really want to dance with him tonight!"

Three girls sitting in front of William whispered about Marvin.

While they were still whispering, several students behind William were discussing another representative speaker, Delilah. William perked up his ears and listened carefully.

"It seems like Delilah is the daughter of a master from the Flood Boxing Guild. I heard that despite her young age, she has already reached the level of a master in terms of strength. Her potential is limitless!"

"I've heard that Delilah is extremely beautiful, no less than any of the Four Beauties of Canada."

"This is the first time they have invited martial arts practitioners as representatives for the freshmen's speech. It seems that the recent changes in Canada's situation have also caught the attention of the school."

William agreed with these statements.

Soon, someone began discussing the special guest as well.

"I wonder who the special guest will be this year. It's really exciting!"

"The special guests always surprise us. I wonder who it will be this year."

"I'm so looking forward to it!"

Hearing this, William's lips curled slightly. As a special guest, he needed to find an opportunity to change his clothes quickly, or else he might not make it on time.

"Michelle, Sophia, the speeches are a bit dull. I'm going outside for some fresh air. I'll come see you when the dance starts." William found a random excuse to go change his clothes.

"Okay, don't go too far. I'll message you when it's time." Michelle nodded.

Just as William exited the auditorium, he received a call from Peter.

"Mr. Baker, your timing is impeccable. Have you prepared everything I need to change my identity?"

"It's in Vice Principal's Office 401," Peter's voice came through the phone.

William nodded and headed to room 401 as instructed. Upon pushing the door open, he saw Peter already waiting there.

"Mr. Baker, why are you in the Vice Principal's office?" William was puzzled.

"I am one of the vice principals of this school, although in name only. My main purpose is to conveniently make connections with various talents here," Peter said as he took out a white suit, a golden half-face mask, and various high-end accessories.

"Sir, right now, the freshman representatives in the auditorium should be delivering their speeches. After you change, I will personally take you there. I'll introduce you to the school's principal. He was your father's old classmate, so it would be good to say hello to him."

Peter explained the details to William.

"Alright, since he was my father's old classmate, I should definitely say hello." William nodded and quickly changed his clothes.

The white suit designed by the European master, limited edition shoes, and the luxury watch on his wrist valued at millions of dollars surprised William. What amazed him the most was the golden half-face mask that only covered the area above his mouth. This way, it wouldn't affect his communication with others. Peter was quite thorough in his work.

"Alright, I'm ready. Let's go to the auditorium!" William checked himself in the mirror and tidied up the details before confidently walking out of the office. He was the epitome of elegance.
