Chapter 357 Breaking Through

Ryan led a group of twelve Grandmaster-level experts and over two hundred members of The Earth as they stormed into Ocean Guild.

"Ryan, there's not a soul here," Fennis searched the lobby of Ocean Guild but found no one.

"They couldn't have run away, right?"

"Go to the back mountain. William is in seclusion, and they should be guarding the entrance to the cave," Ryan said coldly.

With a wave of his hand, the large group of people moved with a murderous aura towards the back mountain.

Sure enough, there they saw six familiar figures standing resolutely next to the hot spring pool, each holding a sword.

Fennis, Dean, and the other twelve Grandmaster-level experts led over two hundred students, surrounding them immediately.

"So, you were all here. William is in seclusion in that cave behind you," Ryan walked out from the crowd and glanced at the cave behind them.

"Ryan, if you want to enter that cave, you'll have to step over our corpses first," Fitch stepped forward with a resolute gaze and yelled.

"Why act like enemies? The situation is clear now. If you surrender to me, I will accept you without any grudges," Ryan thought of subduing them. After all, these six were Grandmaster-level experts, and if they fought with all their might, his side would suffer losses too.

And if he could subdue these six, his strength would increase once again.

"Ryan, dream on. We will never surrender to you," Fitch smiled coldly and roared, and then his fellow colleagues followed suit.

"Ryan, give up on that idea! If you want to fight, we aren't afraid of anyone yet!"

"You all seem quite confident. What has William done for you? Did he give you money? Or power? Making you devotedly guard him like this," Ryan's face turned cold, and he didn't want to resort to violence unless necessary.

"You traitor, do you have the qualification to judge us? Ocean Guild raised and nurtured you, but you betrayed us for money and power, betraying your Master. Do you still have any face left?" Fitch berated him loudly.

"Does that mean we have nothing left to discuss?" Ryan's eyes turned cold, and he emitted a murderous intent.

"If you want to fight, we've never feared you," Fitch shouted again.

"Since it's like this, then as you wish," Ryan had made up his mind. He raised his hand and coldly said, "Kill them!"

As soon as the words fell, the twelve Grandmaster-level experts behind him stepped forward, including Fennis, Dean.

"Kill!" After a thunderous roar, the twelve experts charged directly at Fitch and his group of six.

The situation was highly unfavorable for the six of them, resisting against twelve people. Even Ryan, whose strength was far superior to theirs, stood by and watched.

Thus, this battle was completely lopsided, and unless there was an unexpected turn of events, the six of them would surely be defeated.

"Kill!" Fitch and his group also shouted in unison, tightly gripping their long swords as they clashed with the twelve opponents.

These experts were all once core members of the Ocean Guild and companions to one another. However, today, driven by their own beliefs and pursuits, they were killing each other.

Among the six, Hadley had the strongest power. With a single sword strike, he could force back several people, easily discouraging them from approaching.

"I am your opponent." Dean thrust his long sword towards Hadley, maneuvering through the crowd. Hadley raised his sword to parry, engaging in a swift battle with him.

Fitch, being the oldest, although weaker than Hadley, had already resigned himself to die. He held off three or four people alone, alleviating some of the pressure on the others.

As for Roy and the rest, their strength was relatively weaker. They soon found themselves overwhelmed by their opponents; already suffering injuries.

Ryan watched closely from the outskirts. Fitch and the others could not hold on for much longer. At most, an hour and they would be defeated.

However, at this moment, a figure in red darted out from behind the mountain, wielding a cold iron sword, aiming directly for Ryan.

Ryan, with his strong power and keen senses, sensed the appearance of this red figure and easily evaded the ambush with a slight sidestepping.

"You think you can ambush me with your strength? You're being delusional," Ryan coldly snorted after recognizing the person.

That red figure was none other than Waverly. She blamed herself deeply for not being able to protect Michelle previously.

She had been searching for an opportunity to rescue Michelle, but Ryan had placed strict guards around her, even dispatching two Grandmaster-level experts. This made it impossible for her to find an opportunity.

And now, with Ryan and his group coming up the mountain, she discreetly followed behind them.

Seeing Fitch and the others being besieged and realizing that if she didn't take action now, she would miss her chance, she decided to risk her life and charge straight towards Ryan.

"Ryan, today I'll kill you even if it costs me my life!" Waverly shouted as she raised her sword and attacked once again.

"You think that you alone can kill me? You certainly are seeking death," Ryan countered barehanded, engaging in a battle with her. After a few moves, Waverly found herself at a disadvantage.

"Die!" Ryan increased his speed, landing a punch on Waverly's chest, sending her flying through the air. She crashed heavily over ten meters away and spat out a mouthful of blood upon landing.

"Capture her!" Ryan initially didn't intend to kill her since Waverly was a useful asset for gathering information about The Sky. But Waverly had provoked him.

Waverly had resigned herself to death. William had entrusted Michelle to her care, but she had been taken away while under her watch, leaving Waverly consumed with guilt. She knew she was no match for Ryan, but still, she stood up determinedly. She wanted to hold Ryan back even if it cost her life.

"Ryan, either you die today, or it's my demise," Waverly uttered, spitting out a mouthful of blood before gripping her sword tightly and attacking Ryan once again.

"If you're so eager to die, I'll grant your wish," Ryan said, charging towards her and landing a powerful punch to her chest.

Waverly was thrown meters away in the air before crashing heavily to the ground. Blood sprayed from her mouth, a sign of her shattered internal organs.

But even in this state, Waverly fought against the pain and struggled to stand and continue the battle. However, before she could rise, several members of The Earth plunged a sword into her body.

Waverly's body collapsed halfway as she tried to stand, and darkness swiftly engulfed her vision. "Master, I have failed your trust," her last thought flashed through her mind before she took her final breath.

Fitch, Hadley, and the others who witnessed everything nearby were filled with profound grief.

"Waverly," their hearts wailed in sorrow.

"Go reunite with Waverly in the netherworld!" Fennis took the opportunity to thrust a sword into Roy's shoulder, causing her to collapse on the ground, already heavily wounded.

"Roy," Fitch, Hadley, and the others wanted to rescue her, but they were too incapacitated.

Ten minutes later, the six of them were left in a state of severe injury or death.

"Don't kill them all!" Ryan stepped forward, sparing a few lives, considering the possibility of subjugating them later.

Fitch, Hadley, and Roy lay on the ground, grievously wounded, barely clinging to life. Their bodies covered in wounds, a testament to them having exerted their last ounces of strength.

"Now, only William is left. Anyone who dares to defy me is seeking death," Ryan walked straight to the entrance of the cave, loudly commanding.

"Smash open this cave!"

"Yes!" Fennis immediately called for his subordinates to approach, armed with several heavy iron hammers to break open the cave's door.

However, just as they approached to strike the door, it blew open on its own with a thunderous explosion, releasing a powerful gust of wind mixed with shards of rock.

The people standing at the cave entrance were instantly crushed to death by the flying debris.

"What's going on? We hadn't even swung the hammers; how did the cave door explode by itself?" Fennis wore a bewildered expression, and Ryan furrowed his brow.

Soon, as the smoke cleared, a figure emerged slowly from inside the cave. Their gaze was like a torch, and their aura exuded a mighty presence, resembling a deity descending to earth.

Upon seeing the person's face, Ryan, Fennis, and the others were astonished beyond measure.
