Chapter 149 Demands

Kayla didn't expect William to kick Nathan for her. She was extremely touched by his actions. However, Nathan was livid. His new girlfriend was watching as he got kicked by a poor guy from the slums, and he felt extremely humiliated.

"Bastard, how dare you kick me! I'll kill you!" Nathan angrily got up from the ground, waving his fists as he charged toward William.

"You think you can hit me?" William's gaze turned cold. As Nathan approached, he slightly sidestepped, easily evading his punch. In that split second, William kicked his buttocks, causing Nathan to fall to the ground in a sorry state.

Nathan was no match for William.

"I'll finish you off!" Nathan was unwilling to accept defeat. After getting up, he charged at William again.

With a slight tilt of his head, William effortlessly dodged Nathan's punch once again, while his own fist landed directly on Nathan's face. The immense force knocked him to the ground, leaving a trace of blood at the corner of his mouth as he let out a muffled groan.

"Are you coming for more?" William said calmly.

Struggling to stand up, Nathan looked at William with a hint of fear in his eyes. It was evident that he couldn't defeat William in a one-on-one fight, yet his pride prevented him from accepting it.

"You're vicious! Just wait, I'll get my revenge. And you, Kayla, you slut! One day, I'll take care of you and kick you out of the Garcia family," Nathan threatened before stumbling away. His female companion hurriedly followed.

"William, are you alright?" Kayla rushed over, showing genuine concern.

"I'm fine. He can't hurt me," William replied nonchalantly. "Let's go, we'll grab a meal."

Kayla nodded, but she couldn't help but worry. This fight with Nathan was bound to cause trouble within the family, and she felt guilty for burdening William. Nevertheless, she composed herself and went shopping and dining with him.

In the evening, William received a call from Levi. Bund had spoken. He was instructed by someone named Edward Lanner. People from the Bell family also approached him to negotiate the terms of releasing their member.

"Tell them to wait. I'll go over immediately!" William's lips curled into a faint smile. This was an opportunity to gain something from them.

After seeing Kayla off, William drove to the designated location, Glory Bar. As it was still early in the evening, there weren't many people at the bar. William went straight to the VIP room.

Inside, many people were waiting for him. They were mostly Levi's men.

"Mr. Brown, you're here!" Levi greeted him respectfully.

"Where are the Bell family's representatives?" William casually asked, scanning the room. His gaze finally landed on an elderly man sitting on a golden sofa not far away.

The man, Harold, wore a gray suit and had sharp, attentive eyes. Two black-clad bodyguards stood behind him, exuding solemnity and a cold expression. It was clear they were highly skilled.

"This is Harold, the Bell family's trusted butler. He's the person the Bell family head trusts the most," Levi introduced as he led William.

Harold didn't expect William to be so young. "This person must have a remarkable background!" he thought.

As he was an elder, William took the initiative to walk up and greet him.

"Mr. Brown, I admire your remarkable abilities at such a young age," Harold genuinely praised William. Bund was a cautious man who rarely made mistakes, but William was able to make him yield.

There was the incident at the construction site, and then there was another shocking incident where William had directly apprehended him. There were only a few people in New York who could achieve such skills.

"It's also a stroke of luck for me, but generally, those who provoke me can never escape," William said with a slight smile.

"We have come on behalf of the Bell family, hoping to reclaim Bund. I request Mr. Brown to let him go," Harold said in a humble tone.

William wouldn't just let go of Bund so easily.

"If you want Bund, you will have to show enough sincerity. He has caused me quite a lot of trouble. You will have to compensate for my losses!" William said, sitting on the sofa.

William had already learned about the Bell family's industries and influence.

The Bell family had many properties in the North District, primarily focusing on hotels, entertainment clubs, and real estate projects. These industries were monopolized and profitable.

The industries in the North District were dominated by the Bell family, the Miller family, and the Harrison family. They had already divided up the vast market, making it difficult for outsiders like the Power Group to enter.

However, the Bund incident unexpectedly gave William a good opportunity to infiltrate the North District's influence.

"The Bell family is willing to pay five million dollars to reclaim Bund. I wonder if Mr. Brown would be willing to let him go?" Harold said.

"You think I would let Bund go for just five million dollars? That's too cheap! I know there are many people looking for him. They're willing to pay at least ten million dollars!" William smiled slightly at the corner of his mouth.

Bund had done many dirty things, and many important figures were after him. Once he fell into their hands, Bund would undoubtedly suffer even more.

"Mr. Brown, then please name your price," Harold said. His deep gaze was fixed on William. He was trying to see through him.

"I want your family's CH Real Estate in the North district in exchange for Bund. Are you willing?" William said calmly. CH Real Estate would be a good starting point in the North district.

"Mr. Brown, are you joking? CH Real Estate has a market value of over two billion dollars. Do you really think you can swallow it all?" Harold replied unhappily.

"Whether you agree or not is up to you. I've stated my conditions. If you want Bund, this is the only condition I have." William didn't back down. The industries in the North district had always been controlled by the three families, and William naturally wanted to make his move.

Harold's face trembled. William was indeed greedy.

"Mr. Brown, aren't you afraid of offending the Bell family with these unreasonable conditions?" Harold tried to overpower William, but the latter seemed completely indifferent.

"I don't care!" William sneered.

Harold was unable to deduce William's true background and identity from his indifferent expression. He softened his tone and said, "Mr. Brown, your conditions are too high. I need to report to the chairman before giving you a response."

"Go ahead. I'll wait here," William said calmly.

After a cold snort, Harold turned around and found a corner to make a phone call to the chairman.

Meanwhile, William remained unruffled, sitting on the sofa, leisurely waiting for their response.

After a while, Harold finished the phone call and returned to William's side.

"Mr. Brown, our chairman has agreed to your proposal, but he needs you to personally go to CH Real Estate to sign the contract."

William furrowed his brows. The Bell family wouldn't try to play tricks, would they?

Levi, standing nearby, shared the same concern and warned, "Mr. Brown, outsiders cannot easily interfere in the North district. Going there in person can be dangerous, especially since it's their territory. It's better not to agree."

"What? Mr. Brown, are you feeling scared?" Harold suddenly smiled and taunted when he saw William's silence.

"What is there to be afraid of? I will definitely come and sign the contract," William said with a slight smirk on his lips.

"Mr. Brown is truly remarkable. We will meet again at CH Real Estate the day after tomorrow," Harold said nervously, his face twitching.
