Chapter 288 You Will Undoubtedly Lose This Bet

Fearlessly, Howard approached William with his five students. However, he was a bit surprised to see a young stranger sitting in the lobby instead of Raymond, the one who had threatened him over the phone.

"Where is that bastard Raymond? Where is he hiding? Get out here now! He dared to capture my son. I'll kill him!" Howard roared, looking around. However, after a thorough search, he couldn't find Raymond, which made him feel something was amiss.

"Are you looking for him?" William said, and Raymond, who was chained, was brought out. As soon as Raymond saw Howard, his face turned pale, and he dared not approach him.

"Raymond, why are you chained up?" Howard couldn't hide his astonishment. He had initially thought Raymond was behind all this. But now, he was so stunned that he didn't even know who his enemy was.

"Howard, I called you because I had no other choice. I'm not the one who wanted to find you; it was him." Raymond pointed at William. He didn't have the courage to go against Howard.

Howard shifted his gaze to William. He observed this young man carefully. Despite his ordinary appearance and attire, Howard was surprised to see him sitting in the most prominent seat, with so many people guarding him.

"What's your name? And why did you kidnap my son?" Howard asked cautiously.

"Howard, my name is William Brown. Your son nearly killed my friend and refused to apologize. He even insulted her. What should we do?" William said calmly and signaled for someone to bring a chair for Howard.

To gain Howard's allegiance, William knew he needed some tactics. The outcome would depend on the game between the two.

"So it's about this!" Howard let out a sigh of relief. He thought it was about something serious, but it was just a minor issue.

"I don't want money!" William said calmly.

"Then what do you want? Just let me know, and I'll try to satisfy you." Howard thought this small matter could be resolved quickly. However, the following words from William surprised him.

"I want the support of the Bevery Club!"

William wanted Howard's support. If he could get the support of the Bevery Club, Mr. Davis in the East district would no longer have the strength or confidence to challenge him.

"You want my support?" Howard was taken aback by William's request. At the same time, he realized something and asked, "Are you trying to frame Mr. Davis?"

"You're quite smart. Mr. Davis has been dominating the East district for too long. It's time for a change," William said casually.

"Oh, so you think you can replace Mr. Davis? How naive!" Howard didn't have much faith in William. He even found him a bit delusional and arrogant.

"How about we make two bets? If I win, you and the Bevery Club will be on my side. But if I lose, I will release your son. What do you think?" William persuaded skillfully.

"You haven't explained the details of the bets yet. How can I proceed?" Howard asked cautiously, afraid of being deceived.

"Listen carefully then. Here's the first bet. I bet Mr. Davis will not come here to rescue you tonight." William stared at Howard.

"Young man, I accept this bet!" Howard laughed to himself. He had already contacted Mr. Davis before coming here. With just one phone call, this place would be surrounded by his men. Therefore, he didn't bother listening to William's second bet and agreed directly to this wager.

"Howard, I haven't mentioned the conditions for my second bet yet, and you've already agreed." William's lips curled up. He knew exactly why Howard agreed without listening to the second bet. He believed that Mr. Davis wouldn't abandon him and would definitely come to support him.

"There's no need to listen to the second bet. I can have Mr. Davis come over right now, so you'll undoubtedly lose this bet," Howard said confidently.

"Is that so? Then go ahead and try to bring Mr. Davis here. I'll give you one hour. If he can make it to the JUNE Club within an hour, I'll admit defeat. Otherwise, I'll consider myself the winner. How does that sound?" William smiled faintly.

"Alright, no problem! Just wait to admit defeat!" Howard agreed and called Mr. Davis immediately, urging him to come to the JUNE Club quickly.

At the same time, William secretly sent a message to Lillian, instructing them to act quickly and hold Mr. Davis back.

"Alright, we have arrived at Purple Grove, and we are approaching the mansion. We're ready to set it on fire."

"Good, act quickly. If Joanna shows any signs of trouble, eliminate her immediately." William, doubting the woman's loyalty, granted Lillian this authority.

After getting a positive response from Mr. Davis on the phone, Howard became extremely confident.

"My apologies. I just talked to Mr. Davis on the phone, and he's already on his way. He'll arrive within half an hour. So just wait to admit defeat!" Howard laughed.

"Is that so? Mr. Davis hasn't shown up yet. It's uncertain who will win or lose. He who laughs last, laughs best," William said.

"I have a deep bond with Mr. Davis. If I'm in trouble, he will definitely come to my rescue. He won't abandon me," Howard continued confidently.

"Then let's wait! Let's talk about it when Mr. Davis shows up." William didn't want to reveal his plans to him. He would let Howard and Mr. Davis have a falling out later.

"Well, you better be prepared to admit defeat! Just wait for it!" Howard felt triumphant and sighed at how naive William was.
