Chapter 256 Successful Rescue
Fortunately, William had made thorough arrangements, considering all possible consequences, including what to do in case Sophia was really kidnapped. The GPS tracker was there to handle such situations.
Beauvoir, accompanied by Sharon, Lillian, and nearly fifty other people, quickly headed to the east gate upon receiving William's orders. Unexpectedly, they encountered Gregory carrying an unconscious Sophia and running toward them, followed closely by a dozen karate students, all skilled fighters.
"Such bad luck! Running into me? Looks like you'll be making this trip for nothing," Beauvoir said, taking three quick steps to intercept Gregory.
"Who are you? How dare you stop me?" Gregory frowned. He never expected that someone would know his whereabouts and block his way.
"It doesn't matter who I am. It's just unfortunate for you to run into me. Sharon, Emma, surround them with our people," Beauvoir commanded casually. Sharon, Lillian, Tristan, Maxwell, and others quickly surrounded the karate practitioners led by Gregory.
"Old man, are you asking for death? Do you know who I am?" Gregory put the unconscious Sophia on the ground and stepped forward.
Gregory was dressed in a black robe, with sharp eyes and a powerful aura. He didn't pay much attention to the fifty people surrounding them.
"I don't care who you are. All I know is that you won't be taking this girl today," Beauvoir shouted.
"If you want to stop me, it depends on whether you have the ability," Gregory said, taking out a sword from his back and charging toward Beauvoir.
"Good! Come on," Beauvoir said, grabbing a long knife without any fear and rushing toward Gregory. Both of them were top-notch experts. Although they hadn't reached the level of grandmasters, their skills were exceptional.
The two of them had just started fighting and could feel each other's formidable strength. Both of them were slightly startled.
"I didn't expect you, old man, to be so strong!" Gregory was shocked by the bald old man's strength and felt a bit challenged. He had encountered a difficult adversary this time.
"You also surprised me. Come on, let's fight again!" Beauvoir exclaimed excitedly as he rushed forward with his long knife. It had been a long time since he met such an evenly matched opponent. Gregory, of course, wouldn't back down and confronted him once again.
As the two were engaged in a fierce battle, William finally arrived from the north gate. He was greatly relieved to see Beauvoir surrounding those people.
"Thank goodness I made it in time. The whole setup wasn't in vain," William celebrated silently, feeling glad he had left Beauvoir outside to guard, avoiding a disaster.
"Sharon, Emma, what are you waiting for? Kill the rest of these people for me," William said and took the lead, charging toward the martial arts experts.
Sharon, Tristan, and Maxwell, seeing William charge in first, immediately followed with their own groups. Lillian closely followed behind.
An all-out melee erupted in an instant, with William employing the recently perfected Inch Punch, which worked perfectly for practical combat.
"Die!" William yelled and lunged at the person closest to him, delivering a powerful punch.
"You dare to injure me?" The martial arts expert was quite arrogant and directly tried to counter his incoming punch with his own.
However, to his astonishment, just inches away from his fist, William's wrist suddenly trembled, and the next moment, William's punch instantly amplified, sending him flying out.
"How is that possible? What kind of technique is this?" The student struggled to get up from the ground, feeling astonished.
At the same time, Gregory was also hit by Beauvoir's punch, and the sudden surge of power surprised him.
"Inch Punch! Who are you?" Gregory shouted in disbelief.
"I already told you, you're not worthy of knowing my name," Beauvoir replied and once again engaged in battle.
"If that's the case, then I won't hold back!" Gregory seemed to have decided not to show any mercy. Holding his sword, he danced with it before unleashing his inner strength in a peculiar posture, thrusting toward Beauvoir.
The sword pierced through, and suddenly an invisible sword energy shot toward Beauvoir. It had reached the level of releasing supernatural energy, but it was clearly not pure, relying on the sword to unleash it.
Beauvoir was taken aback. By the time he sensed it, it was already too late. Instead, he decided to use his knife as a projectile and threw it toward Gregory.
Beauvoir was indeed not one to give up easily. If you attack me with a sword, I'll return the favor with a knife.
Beauvoir was hit in the shoulder by the sword, but luckily his hunch saved him from being hit directly in the chest.
The sword energy sliced across his shoulder, leaving a deep wound. Crimson blood seeped out from the wound, and Beauvoir was knocked down by the sword energy.
Seeing this, Gregory laughed out loud. However, he hadn't laughed enough when a knife shot toward him, directly hitting his back. The force of the long knife was strong, deeply cutting into Gregory's flesh.
Crimson blood quickly flowed out, and Beauvoir, who had gotten up from the ground, laughed and said, "Not bad for my technique, right?"
"Old man, you're ruthless," Gregory said as he pulled out the long knife. He saw his students being surrounded and beaten by William and his group, causing him great pain. He knew that if they didn't retreat now, they might lose their lives here.
He immediately shouted, "Retreat!"
As soon as he finished speaking, the experts escaped one after another. Tristan, Maxwell, and the others wanted to chase after them, but William stopped them.
"No need to chase. Emma, go check if Beauvoir is okay."
After giving them this order, William hurriedly went to pick up the unconscious Sophia from the ground and cradled her in his arms.
"Sophia? Sophia, are you okay?" William shook Sophia hard, fearing that something might have happened to her.
Sophia's eyelashes trembled, and she slowly opened her eyes. When she saw that it was William, she inexplicably felt a lot more relieved.
"William, you're here," Sophia said weakly. Seeing the genuine concern on William's face touched her.
"You're okay! You scared me. I almost thought you were going to be kidnapped," William said as he embraced Sophia tightly, subconsciously treating her as his fiancée.
Although he had been saying that he wanted to break off the engagement, deep down, he was unwilling to see her in danger.
Being held in William's arms, Sophia felt the sincere affection from him. The heart that had never been moved suddenly skipped a beat, as if something had opened the door to her heart.
